Chapter 183: I love you
Ryle looked at her calmly, ’’Because you need it right now. Although the company has not gone bankrupt, but the losses were too critical this time. You need to revive it completely so that these troubles don’t exist in the long run. And even to work on the passion projects that your father had taken over, you need enough investments. We both know that, don’t we?"
Daisy remained silent for a moment before she spoke up, ’’Yesterday, Lu Xian...’’
’’I know,’’ he said and when she looked at him with confusion, he explained, ’’I saw him there and looked into it a bit so I had a few guesses.’’
Daisy explained the entire situation to Ryle in details, ’’I let him have the shares for the time being.’’
Daisy’s decision was completely sensible. If she accepted the shares for free then it would just go wild in the media that Daisy and Lu Xian were close to this point and undoubtedly, that was the man’s ultimate intention alongside his attempts to impress Daisy. Hence, she settled on a bigger profit since the Lu Corporation was currently thriving and their stock prices were also on a rise, Daisy’s attempt on getting more shares from him in exchange was definitely a smart move.
The logical aspects of Ryle’s brains praised Daisy’s actions and were satisfied with this result.
But still, the minute illogical part could not help but feel a strangeness about Lu Xian’s and Daisy’s new working relations and how promptly that bastard agreed to let Daisy have the shares as it was obvious that had there been any other person in Daisy’s place, even Lu Xian’s parents, the man would have showed them their place for having such audacity. And lastly, the way Lu Xian had the rightful reason to pop up at the premises of the Chen Corporations anytime he wanted.
Seeing him standing there in silence, Daisy reached out to hold his hand.
But the man walked towards her before she could get hold of his hand. He pressed his palms on her knees and parted them before he came to stand between her legs. One of his arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer to him.
Ryle buried his face in Daisy’s chest.
Daisy blinked but she let him hug her. In the next moment however, the man moved and she felt him biting her neck. Hard. Until she winced.
Then, he slowed down and licked the spot that he just bit, slowly and gently caressing it with his tongue.
’’Tell me princess, if Lu Xian is killed, will you get into trouble?"
Daisy’s eyes widened, ’’You...’’
Ryle pulled back from her neck and gazed at her. His hazel eyes were filled with a dangerous glint. As if the moment she answered the question and told him that she won’t get into trouble, he would go all out and kill that man.
’’No,’’ Daisy wrapped her arms around his neck and continued speaking, ’’I won’t get into trouble if anything happens to him.’’
Ryle’s eyes sparkled.
’’But, that does not mean that you are going to have any kind of confrontation with him.’’
Ryle’s eyes narrowed, ’’Why?"
For one, although it did not matter to her, but she was not going to be femme fatale like they described in ancient times. She just felt goosebumps thinking about it. She had no issues if the men had a any sort of enmity with each other. But most importantly, she did not want Ryle to face any variables in such a situation.
The Lu Family had countless enemies but it was a unsaid fact that all of them were dead. She knew Ryle had his own secrets and his own powers but at the end of the day, if there one single mistake and things went wrong then he would be making an enemy out of the Lu Family. Lu Xian’s head was wanted by many but he was still surviving and that showed that he was not an easy target. So unless there was a solid reason, she wanted Ryle to stay out of this mess.
Because she did not forget that Ryle had his own situations to deal with. The continuous attacks that target them in the past. Ryle had his enemies, regardless of whether he talked about them or not.
’’If the situation demands for it, then I won’t stop. Or if you have any personal grudges against him, you can do anything you want. But if you ask me, then I don’t want you to get involved in unnecessary troubles.’’
Ryle stroked her waist and leaned in to capture her bottom lips between his teeth. He sucked onto it and bit it before kissing her gently, ’’He keeps his gaze on what’s mine and you think that’s not enough reason for me to hold a grudge...?"
Daisy’s eyes widened.
’What’s mine’
’’What’s yours?" she mumbled against his lips.
’’The woman sitting in front of me, talking to me and looking at me seductively, not knowing how much she is tormenting me.’’
Daisy’s lips parted, ’’I did not do anything,’’ she cupped his face and kissed his lips softly.
Ryle’s eyes darkened. He almost cursed under his breath. Goodness.
Daisy pulled back and when she felt something pushing against her inner thighs. She looked at the visible tent in his pants and rubbed her nose when she met his accusing gaze.
’’I did not...’’ she blinked innocently.

Ryle fell speechless.
Being reminded of the topic they left behind, Daisy spoke up, ’’About the money...’’
’’Do you remember the amount of $50 billions that you had given me in the past?"
Daisy nodded, ’’But I don’t need you to give it back to me. For a fact, it was only right for you to state your demands, no matter how ridiculous because I had been staying by your side with a double identity and I have explained this to you before.’’
’’You did. You explained this to me before but at that time, I felt discomfort only. However, I could not figure out the reason behind my discomfort and I didn’t know what to say,’’ Ryle shook his head, ’’In no way do I need a compensation for your existence in my life. It doesn’t matter who you were or how you were, Daisy, Dexter, I accept all the same as long as it’s you.’’
Daisy’s eyes widened briefly and she felt her heart skipping a beat at his words.
’’I am worried,’’ she whispered.
’’Worried about what?"
’’If all your past lovers heard these words of yours, the girls will come after me.’’
Ryle’s face turned black like the bottom of the pot, ’’You are here with me yet you still dare to think about other girls?"
Daisy blinked. Why did it sound so wrong in some sense?
’’Huh?"
’’Don’t pretend to be innocent about this too,’’ Ryle could not forget the charms of Daisy’s disguise, Dexter. Daisy normally was rather considerate towards girls which showed up when she disguised as Dexter, and combined with that strikingly beautiful face, she seemed no less than a charming prince. No matter where they went, women would swoon over him. He could not forget the number of times the woman had contented with him in terms of seducing women without batting an eyelid.
’’When other men date, they only have to guard against other men but do you realize how tough I have it? I have to guard against women as well,’’ he leaned in to bite her cheeks.
Daisy rolled her eyes, ’’Who said we are dating?"
Ryle immediately looked at her with a shocked look on her face, ’’I am heartbroken. Didn’t you say I am your boyfriend? Doesn’t that mean we are dating?"
’’Oh, that I said because I could think of no other way to introduce you,’’ Daisy said thoughtfully.
’’Then you are not allowed to think of any other way to have me,’’ Ryle cupped her face and leaned back to look at her, ’’Angel likes me, you like me, I adore you so I will take good care of you, I can cook, I am gentle, and you have taken advantage of me before. So, Daisy Chen, will you date me?"
Daisy smiled at the way he pushed in Angel’s name at first as if he was getting brownie points for that and surely he was. But the more he spoke, the further her face darkened.
Gentle? Who?
Taken advantage of him?
She pushed him back, ’’The words don’t sound as good. I might as well re-consider.’’
’’I love you. And I can’t help but want to spend the rest of my life being hopelessly and irrevocably in love with you,’’ Ryle spoke every word with certainty, his teasing eyes were filled with a sincere look this time, ’’How does that sound?"
