Chapter 126: Forever?

Ryle’s eyes darkened as he stroked her breast and pulled back. That needy look in her eyes, those desires reflecting on her body... the seductress did not even know how hard she was seducing him.

When he stopped, Daisy was confused. The loss of his touch seemed to have left her further bewildered, ’’You...’’

’’Shh...’’ Ryle kissed her lips, ’’Sit with me, Daisy.’’

’’But..’’

’’Say another word and I’ll flip you right over this couch and take you in every way I can,’’ he whispered softly but his voice held a promise.

He wanted to devour her.

Those words stirred something in her. Her body felt hotter.

Daisy glanced at the tent in his pants and her eyes grew slightly wide. Somehow, she was pretty obedient for the first time. She did not move, afraid that she would trigger him, and deep down more worried that she would trigger herself into becoming another version of herself that she was not even familiar with.

Ryle smoothly covered her with her dress. He stroked her hair and pulled her into his arms before he kissed her hair.

Daisy’s eyes fluttered close as she felt him peppering kisses all over her face.

’’Daisy.’’

’’Mm?"

’’I am sorry,’’ Ryle said solemnly.

Daisy raised her head to look at him, slowly coming down from the highs.

"I know you are upset about that day...’’

’’I am not,’’ Daisy looked into his eyes, ’’I only that if I am not allowed to meddle in your matters, then I don’t want you to help me with mine. I can handle my issues...’’

Ryle interrupted her words with a kiss on her lips and watched as the woman stopped talking as she looked at him, stunned. He smiled and nodded, ’’Yes, you can handle your issues. And?"

Daisy blinked, ’’And I don’t need you to meddle...’’

Her words were again interrupted as the man gently held her chin and captured her mouth. His teeth bit into her plump bottom lips, making her grip his shirt.

’’Not meddle. And?" Ryle pulled back and glanced at her, the smile on his face growing wider.

"_"

Daisy was speechless.

She even forgot what she had to say.

And her thoughts had turned completely incoherent as well.

How was this a conversation?

This was a beauty trap.

She gazed at the man whose hair was messy. In fact, he had hair, just a shade darker than the color of his eyes. She had the urge to run her fingers through it. His hazel eyes looked like honey in the faint glow of moonlight.

His face... seemed to have been carved to perfection. Every feature was sharp and beautiful. He was too beautiful for a man. However, still, he did not look feminine at all.

Daisy did not know how to put it in words or thoughts. Had she been able to do that, she would have described him in poetry. But he was attractive to her. In plain simple words that she could comprehend.

She found herself attracted to him in a way she shouldn’t.

Ryle stroked her lips gently as he adjusted her position on his lap and made her lean on him such that with just a tilt of his face, he could approach her lips easily, ’’You stopped speaking.’’

"_"

You seduced me.

Those were the three words that popped into Daisy’s head the instance the man asked her to continue speaking cheekily as if he was not the one to blame.

She understood why he was doing that.

Simply because she cut him off and refused to listen to words.

Seeing that the woman was not as unruly as before, Ryle could not help but pepper a few soft and gentle kisses on her face.

Daisy found it rather ticklish but warm as well. It was as if he was comforting her not only with his words but actions too.

’’I have things to do, Daze, and I am in too deep in it to be able to extricate myself. If I involve you, I involve Angel in it too,’’ he knew Daisy was capable enough to protect herself and he could protect them both but that did not mean he would willingly put them to face the brunt of things that had nothing to do with them.

"When there was an assassination attempt in your previous place, I had almost driven off but then I saw that you left your phone in my car so I came back. And I have never stopped thinking about what could have happened if I did not come back that day.’’

No matter how capable she was, no matter how wary she was, the enemy still found a loophole and laid out a trap for her when she was off guard.

Daisy frowned, ’’But...’’

’’How long are you going to stay by my side? How long are you going to stay in this mansion and let me protect you the way I am protecting you now?" Ryle questioned when he saw that she was still unconvinced, ’’Forever?"

Daisy remained quiet.

Forever?

She had no idea.

Maybe a month. Maybe a year. The reason she stayed here in the first place was because of the circumstances. But once those issues are solved, what would be her purpose of living here?

Not only that, she was temporarily not working to be there for Angel as much as she could. But she knew that she would not be able to be comfortable in this life for long. She had to figure out a path for herself, something safer and suitable compared to her past job tracks.

Her silence answered most of Ryle’s questions. Even though he knew, even though he had expected it, but there was still a strong sense of unwillingness in his heart.

He hugged her tightly, ’’Don’t be stubborn about it.’’

’’I am not being stubborn,’’ Daisy frowned when she heard his ’coaxing’ voice. Did he take her for a child?

Ryle suppressed his laughter at her defensive voice. So cute!
