Chapter 380: Chapter 305: The Proud Demon King Who Never Backs Down (Part 2)

"Great! Very spirited! As you wish, it’s you then."

Since Ilya boldly sent herself over, Lynn had no reason not to accept it. She was already one of his fiancées, and not just in the more liberal Demon Realm—even among the Human Race, it would have been perfectly legal to be intimate.

"Then I’ll come back tonight... um..."

Ilya was trying to calm herself and distance from Lynn, wanting to clean herself first. However, when she tried to paddle away, Lynn grabbed her by the hind leg.

Literally held back, as when she was about to swim away, Lynn reached out and took hold of her left leg.

"?"

Ilya was puzzled; they had already agreed to be together at night, yet it was only eight in the morning...

"The deposit hasn’t been paid yet..."

Seeing Ilya’s confusion, Lynn held her small foot, his mouth curving like a returning Dragon King.

...

A little later, Ilya stumbled out of the bathroom and returned straight to her bedroom in the Demon Emperor Palace, sulking.

What did he mean by deposit? Do humans do business this way? Do they require an 80% deposit upfront?

Except... everything...

Ilya felt that at night she was only going to pay the remaining balance, as there was nothing left that Lynn hadn’t already tasted...

After Ilya left, Lynn also returned to his bedroom.

By that time, the defeated Joyful Witches had mostly recovered. As pureblood Enchanting Demons, though they didn’t win the initial skirmish, they still retained their bloodline superiority.

After a morning of rest, they were moving with ease again, just a little wobbly on their feet, but it didn’t really matter much.

"The Demon Emperor must have official duties to attend to during the day, so we’ll not disturb you."

The Humble Witch, being the big sister of the Joyful Witches, was evidently more sensible than the Proud Demon King Ilya. As soon as she saw Lynn return to the palace, she led her sisters to gather around. Rather than using the previous night’s affection to vie for favor, they were more concerned that their presence might hinder the Demon Emperor from handling official matters.

"There aren’t really any duties I need to hustle with, hmm, don’t leave yet, keep me company for a while, don’t make it seem like I’m heartless after that..."

The Joyful Witches clearly set aside their self-importance. Although the Demon Emperor had promised them the position of Imperial Consort, they didn’t dare to sit at the same table with the seven Demon Kings.

Ultimately, they were simply the Lust Demon King’s little Enchanting Demons. Aside from being prettier than the average Enchanting Demon, they didn’t have much else to offer.

Being able to mix into the Demon Emperor’s harem was already the best outcome for an Enchanting Demon; they didn’t dare to ask for more.

Being used as... uh, being called upon at any moment like seven handmaidens was more than sufficient. Simply dreaming of being an Imperial Consort was satisfying enough. Actually being like the Demon Kings might feel a bit uncomfortable.

"Then let’s serve the Demon Emperor a little longer."

The Humble Witch bowed to Lynn and then signaled to her sisters, who immediately understood and sprang into action.

The Temperate Witch and the Chaste Witch together pulled Lynn down onto the sofa, chuckling as they massaged his shoulders on either side. Meanwhile, the Tolerant Witch and the Rational Witch weren’t idle either. They each brought a embroidered stool, positioning Lynn’s legs upon them as they kneeled down to softly pat his legs.

The Generous Witch, having a natural talent for an enchanting voice, took a sip of fine wine, feeding it mouth-to-mouth to Lynn, leaving the Diligent Witch, holding a bunch of grapes for the Demon Emperor to taste, in a bit of a quandary. With Generous’s sister offering her lips, how could the grapes compete?

The Humble Witch, ever the good arranger, beckoned with her eyes, pointing to a clear path for the Diligent Witch.

The Demon Emperor had only been occupied from the limbs. Wasn’t there such a big open spot left?

Well then... together?

The Diligent Witch extended an invitation to her sister with her eyes.

Gladly.

The Humble Witch responded likewise with her eyes, leaving everything unspoken.

...

As the sky began to darken and the night crept in.

The Proud Demon King Ilya, who had sulked in her room the whole day, emerged from her bedroom.

She was a demon who moved with lightning speed and efficiency. Apprehension was only her occasional timidity; the real her was fiercest of all.

She would never wait until the wee hours of the morning to hesitantly make her way to Lynn’s room to keep her promise. As soon as dusk fell, she headed straight out to demonstrate how much of a trustworthy and faithful demon she was, one who kept her word.

Striding like a dragon and tiger, Ilya made her way directly to Lynn’s bedroom, having already decided to take the initiative when she got there, to flip Lynn over and have her way with him once.

After that, whatever happened, happened. As long as she made the first move and secured the initial victory, no subsequent losses could undo the fact that she claimed the first win.

This was the only way she could maintain even a shred of dignity. What else could she do? Engage in a head-on challenge against Lynn, who had already defeated seven Enchanting Demons? That would be beyond overestimating herself; that would be oblivious...

With a bang.

Ilya kicked open the tightly shut door of the Demon Emperor’s Bedroom, just as she was preparing to storm in and single-handedly take down Lynn, when the scene inside stung her eyes.

"Ah!!" ×7.

It was snowy white like her own, but there were seven times as many.

Ilya instinctively backed out, wanting to keep her distance, but hadn’t gone far before realizing.

Isn’t this my turn? What am I hiding for? Shouldn’t they be the ones hiding from me!

With this thought, Ilya boldly turned back, standing at the door, casting a majestic gaze over the chaotic Joyful Witches.

After a while, the seven panicked Enchanting Demons finally dressed and hurriedly paid their respects to the Proud Demon King at the door before running off in unison, leaving only the somewhat awkward Demon Emperor and coldly smiling Demon King.

"Seems like I came at a bad time."

Ilya’s eyes were smiling, her tone gentle, but Lynn could sense the killing intent. If it weren’t for his significantly superior strength compared to Ilya, that hint of murder might have materialized.

Upon hearing Ilya’s remark, Lynn wanted nothing more than to have the Joyful Witches in one arm and say, "No, you came at just the right time," before embracing Ilya with the other.

However, that move wasn’t doable. For one, the Joyful Witches had already fled, and even if they hadn’t, Lynn’s arms weren’t long enough to hold seven Enchanting Demons.

"Indeed, your timing could have been better, perhaps two hours later would have been perfect."

Lynn felt some embarrassment; the Joyful Witches were truly too skillful, and he alone could not withstand seven Enchanting Demons.

"Can you still even stand up now?"

Ilya wanted to sneer but felt it might be too bold, so she merely questioned him simply.

Yet, her single question felt like gasoline into the flame of a half-lit fire, causing an instant flare-up.

"Do you think I can’t get up?"

Lynn, angry, slapped the sofa and stood up, both Lynn characters.

Seeing this, Ilya instinctively stepped back, but immediately returned her stance.

She was no longer the Ilya of half a day before who would hesitate. Now, she was the strong and invincible Proud Demon King Ilya Murphy!

Okay, maybe not invincible in power, but definitely the most forceful!

Even when facing the truly unmatched Human Race powerhouse Lynn, she would no longer back down... not even a step or two...

And then, as Lynn approached by two steps, Ilya retreated four steps...

Ilya: "..."

No, it’s just that her feet moved on their own, she wasn’t at fault! She was very brave, indeed!

To prove herself, Ilya gritted her teeth, stamping a foot, facing the great terror, and chose to approach him head-on.
