Chapter 378: Chapter 304: Seven Slaughters (Part 2)
What’s going on?
Did the sky outside collapse when I woke up? Can it summon all seven of the Demon Kings?
Lynn casually took out the Demon Mirror. Although the number of times to use the mirror communication with cooldown was quite precious, under such abnormal circumstances, he had to use it.
After all, he is now Lynn, not Illidan. Without Ilya putting makeup on him, he can’t even leave the Demon Emperor Palace.
Just as Lynn was holding the Demon Mirror to start editing a message, a message suddenly popped up on his mirror surface.
"I lost, wait for me, I’ll be back soon."
Lynn glanced at the Demon Mirror number at the end and saw it was from Ilya.
What do you mean by lost? Did you guys get into a fight outside? There’s no external enemy now, so you’re fighting among yourselves, is that it? Are you that eager for a fight?
Lynn looked at Ilya’s message, feeling quite puzzled, but since she said she’ll be back soon, he’ll ask her when she returns.
And as he waited, he fed the Joyful Witches the human race delicacies he personally made, and after more than an hour, he sensed Ilya stepping into the Demon Emperor Palace.
Wow, how far was she? Did she step on ants all the way back?
After settling the Joyful Witches, he went to welcome back his Proud Demon King wife.
Ilya had gone somewhere unknowingly before, and when she returned she was all dirty, as if she had a fight with someone, and she was sweating profusely, appearing exhausted.
"How did you end up like this? Come on, let’s get you cleaned up."
Regardless of how Ilya ended up this way, Lynn, of course, took her to bathe first. A fragrant and beautiful young lady like her being in this state was distressing for Lynn, not to mention her demonic pride.
Lynn stepped forward, holding Ilya’s little dirty mud-covered hand, without any sign of its former pristine jade-like glory, but he didn’t show any disdain, leading her toward the nearest bath.
Although usually quiet, Ilya, known for her extremely proud nature, let Lynn lead her toward the perilous bath. She expected what might happen when alone with Lynn in such a context, especially in a bathroom, but this time she didn’t choose to retreat.
Her pride wouldn’t allow her to lose without acknowledgment, despite the defeat coming from six sisters ganging up on her, but the agreed-upon free-for-all didn’t prohibit teaming up among participants.
She never expected her sisters to dislike her so much that even being pummeled by her explosive power, they preferred to collectively pin her to the ground.
No way around it, a loss is a loss, and being proven by action as the "least liked" sister was harder for Ilya to bear than being defeated six-to-one.
And so, lost in thought, Ilya was led into the bathroom by Lynn, only waking from her stupor after he helped her out of her dirty clothes and the coolness hit her body.
"Do you think I’m a failure as a sister?"
Standing stark naked before Lynn, she would have felt overwhelmingly embarrassed in the past, regardless of her awkward personality, but compared to the blow she just suffered, being seen in advance by her destined fiancé seemed less noteworthy.
"Why would you think that? I think they all respect and even look up to you."
Lynn responded to Ilya’s doubts while leading her into the bath.
Pulling up his pants just recently, he removed them again, but having eaten too much last night, his mind was relatively clear regarding Ilya... well, he did have some stray thoughts, but seeing her somewhat lost appearance, he couldn’t bring himself to indulge in distractions.
"If they truly respected me, why would they band together to deliver me to you like that?"
Perhaps fearing Lynn wouldn’t understand out-of-context words, after her question, Ilya explained what happened when the seven sisters fled the Demon Emperor Palace early in the morning.
In short, upon escaping, they gathered together, whispering about the foreseeable "dangerous" future.
They were all a bit cowardly, with Phantom being the most timid and Betty the boldest.
Even the boldest Betty didn’t dare face the first salvo, claiming she could fill her belly with leftovers from her sisters, consistent with her usual style and personal preferences.
Given they had already settled terms with Lynn, with the relationship confirmed but not yet officially announced, they weren’t really trying to avoid anything.
This wasn’t escape, just tactical avoidance!
After all, Lynn had just completed a seven-kill spree, and amid such fervor, who would want to face the first shot from this raw, yet lingering bloodshed...?
Now, Betty had to ask, since hiding wasn’t an option, shouldn’t there be someone to take the first blow?
And Phantom had to question, who should this demon be?
All eyes of the Demon Kings turned to Ilya, including her own.
By rank and considering sisterly care, being the eldest of the Seven Great Demon Kings and the head among the Demon King’s seven sisters, it only made sense for Ilya to be the first. Ilya herself recognized this to be true.
But that was before, after witnessing Lynn’s prowess from afar, Ilya hesitated, stepping back a little, feeling that the Lust sister, who shared the same demonic bloodline, might be more suitable.
Look, she’s half Enchanting Demon, her skills in the domain of seduction among the seven sisters are top-tier, plus she has a fear of men, needing major exposure therapy to... cure her!
So, while being the leader obliged her in sheltering her sisters from risks, the Lust sister’s illness was equally important, she couldn’t be left untreated.
However, Ilya’s proposal met with general... disapproval from the Seven Great Demon Kings. Their opposition was not without reason; precisely because Phantom was vastly inexperienced, the leader needed to step in to shield her from harm, and curing her illness didn’t need precise timing or urgency, even if amidst serving a drink, healing was possible, it wasn’t some terminal illness in need of emergency attention.
Being rebuffed like this, Ilya realized that more than respecting her leadership, her sisters were inclined to protect the weakest member, Phantom.
It wasn’t really their fault, seeing as they were followers of the Guardian Demon God, the previous generation of the Demon Race sided with the Destruction Demon God, so revered strength. However, since times have changed, following the Guardian Demon God now emphasized aiding the weak.
Regardfully heeding the guidance of the Guardian Demon God, the sisters’ arguments were quite justifiable, undeniably.
And then Ilya refused to back down...
As the head of the Seven Great Demon Kings and one of the top three in the Demon Realm’s comprehensive prowess ranking, she understood that the mighty never complain about circumstances. But the current situation dictated that their inherent strength level had equalized, she wasn’t even a level above her sisters, and considering the more realistic aspect of seduction prowess, she was just an Abyssal Demon, how could she match the Lust sister who was half Enchanting Demon?
That’s why she is the weaker one! Not the strong one!
And as the weaker, she not only had the right to complain about circumstances, she also had the right to gripe about the powerful!
Hence Ilya presented her counter-argument against the opposing views.
Subsequently, her sisters beat her up...
Yet it was not really her sisters bullying her, the calmest among them, the Greed sister, proposed a most sensible resolution.
That is, fight; whoever lies down first heads to Lynn first...
It sounded rational, but before the fight, Greed sister never mentioned it would be a brawl; Ilya thought it was a one-on-one with the Lust sister.
The outcome was foreseeable; her sisters ganged up on her, dressing it up as a free-for-all.
Yes, I’m the biggest, so it’s reasonable to fight me?
