Chapter 363: Chapter 297: Divergence
"So, what category does Aya fall into?"
Hearing the Envious Demon King categorize all the sisters but leaving herself out, Lynn laughed while holding Sister Liss and asked.
"Me? You guess."
Aya raised an eyebrow playfully, crossed her arms, lifting two perfect curves, and responded with a smile.
"Isn’t it simple, in the future I’ll appoint all six of them as Imperial Consorts, and then make you the accompanying dowry... Ouch, just joking, just joking, how could that be possible..."
Lynn, trying to get closer to the unfamiliar Envious Demon King, decided to tease her a bit. He didn’t expect to poke her sore spot as soon as he spoke, making Aya so annoyed that she pounced on him and pinched the flesh on his waist.
Is your envy akin to that of a jealous wife? But you’re not the first wife either...
Lynn cautiously pried Aya’s pinching hands away, feeling that the Envious Demon King’s hands were exceptionally soft and smooth, indeed a born beauty of the Human... Demon Realm.
Although he intended to escape her grasp, Lynn found himself lingering as he felt her hands. Aya wasn’t annoyed but felt something odd about it.
In theory, she’d only met Lynn a few times, and they hardly had any proper conversations, but after promising herself to him, she could easily accept being close to him. Perhaps she has a bit of something, or maybe Lynn is just peculiar.
"Ahem, if you like, I could yield my position to Envy Sister."
At this moment, Liss, the Greed Demon King in Lynn’s arms, coughed gently, attracting Lynn and Aya’s attention before speaking with a meaningful undertone.
Lynn wasn’t exactly indifferent, but holding her while touching another demon might be somewhat disrespectful, right? Although they’re sisters, even real sisters have to keep accounts clear! Not to mention they’re just figurative sisters...
"Better let the little sister enjoy it... Hey, let’s get the important matters settled first. Once you return as the Demon Emperor, whatever you do afterward can keep you plenty satisfied."
Aya said as she pulled her hand from Lynn’s demonic grasp and sat back in her seat, appearing composed.
In the secret chamber, there were a total of eight seats designed for the Demon Emperor and the seven Demon Kings. Naturally, Lynn sat at the main seat in the middle; the left positions were for the Pride, Envy, and Fury Demon Kings; the right positions were for the Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, and Lust Demon Kings.
However, now among the eight seats, mages occupied only six positions. The seats for the Greed Demon King and the Gluttonous Demon King were empty; the Greed Demon King sat with the Demon Emperor at the main seat, while the Gluttonous Demon King stood aside looking expectantly, as if queuing.
The other Demon Kings felt it hard to watch, so they sent Phantom to pull little Betty away. Though she was tiny and the whole demon was soft and cuddly, perfect for sitting in a man’s arms to act cute, how could Liss give up easily? She’s greedy for everything, and that includes affection.
"So, what’s your plan to deal with Victor? Are you thinking of finding an opportunity to take her out directly, or do you want to try to recruit her?"
Since they needed to discuss serious matters, Lynn immediately adopted a serious demeanor, aside from still holding the fragrant Greed Demon King sister, he remained quite composed without any unnecessary movements.
"It’s because our opinions aren’t quite unified yet, that’s why we’re discussing."
Ilya habitually took the lead in speaking, then realized in Lynn’s presence she could only be second in command, so she restrained herself and began introducing the real leader of the Demon Realm, Lynn.
"I, Aya, and Phantom believe that the Demon Dragon Race always sits on the fence. When our Guardian Demon God Faction holds an absolute advantage, she’ll side with us, but the faith of the Demon Dragon Race is quite impure. Even if a Level 999 Near God converts, they won’t provide much power of faith to the Guardian Demon God, and it might even plant huge risks in the Demon Realm."
"Since the Demon Dragon Race has always been highly ambitious, evident from the Demon Dragon Emperor, although they mostly play both sides to make safe gains, once they start gambling, it’s unstoppable. Given the current situation of the Demon Realm, if she senses anything off with the Demon Emperor, she won’t miss her chance to become the Demon Emperor herself!"
"Especially Victor, who is already an elderly Demon Dragon with not much lifespan left. Should she see even a sliver of a chance for Ascension to Divinity, she will fight desperately to seize it. And there’s nothing more stable and reassuring than enjoying the ascendancy blessing as a path to godhood."
"So, the three of us believe Victor shouldn’t be retained. We shouldn’t be lured by her immediate combat power and the superficial faith of a Near God. She should be viewed as a risk hazard and cleared out! After all, a Near God-level threat, if it erupts, could be fatal, and we must not take it lightly."
Ilya stopped speaking at this point and shifted her gaze to Lynn, or rather to the Greed Demon King Liss in Lynn’s arms.
Ilya was the proponent and opinion leader of the proposal to eliminate Victor, while Liss was the main opponent. Since Ilya finished speaking, it was Liss’s turn to present her point.
And Greed Demon King Liss did not disappoint, sitting primly in Lynn’s arms, feeling something uneasy against her and using her rounded figure to temporarily suppress it, then righteously presented a differing view.
