Chapter 247: Chapter 174 Catch Mu Jin First_3
"Wolf," Wolf blinked. He had just been listening to the rapid questioning between Jiang Shu and Tang and hadn’t had the opportunity to interject.
"Capturing the Deception Group doesn’t require many people; the challenge is finding them," Tang continued. "I need your help."
"Glad to help," Jiang Shu smiled.
"Sure," Wolf also grinned.
"In that case, I can share my current thoughts with you." Tang laid out the Deception Group’s information dossier on the table. "From what we see now, each of the Deception Group’s cases has hardly any loopholes; they are very skilled at hiding themselves."
"While the outside world believes that capturing Fang Yue was a milestone in combating Deception Group’s crimes, I share the same view as Jiang Shu. Fang Yue was merely a pawn used by the Fox," Wolf found an opportunity to speak up, asserting his presence.
"It does seem so," Tang still did not deny it, pointing at the information dossier on Mu Jin, "Among these four key members, the Fox appears the most and is also the most uniquely identified. But I think the best breakthrough should be this woman."
"Why?" Wolf asked reflexively.
"She’s the only one who gives me a different feel," said Tang, his expression calm. "First of all, compared to the rest, her gait is obviously trained, making her posture look more graceful. Moreover, her entire demeanor sets her apart from the others."
"Really?" Wolf was just stunned, looking at the partial videos Tang had found.
He couldn’t discern anything about the gait; he just thought Mu Jin must be quite attractive.
"There is," Tang replied confidently to Wolf’s skepticism. "In this era, not many people care about gait anymore. Only offspring of some newly noble families or those in certain professions receive specific training, like presenters, models, or actors."
"Oh," Wolf realized why Tang could tell.
Being from the Dick Family, Tang was naturally more sensitive to such etiquette.
"What else?" Jiang Shu asked, intrigued.
Dick Tang was no ordinary man; in such a short period of time, he had grasped some key information.
"Moreover, I’ve noticed that this Mu Jin always appears in some unnecessary places," Tang continued, posing a question, "Have you ever wondered what Mu Jin actually does in the Deception Group? The Fox is a leading figure, Devil Wind is his exclusive assistant and enforcer, and Ancient Snake is probably similar to an enforcer. Only Mu Jin, her role is quite peculiar."
"Behind the scenes?" Jiang Shu wasn’t very sure; he looked at Wolf, who was staring blankly at him.
Clearly, Wolf couldn’t keep up with Tang’s leaps in thought.
"Pretty much." Tang glanced at Jiang Shu with satisfaction, the Magician being one of the few who could keep up with his pace. "The Deception Group’s key personnel are very streamlined; she can’t just be a pretty face. I believe her role should involve backstage work like prop-making or makeup and disguises."
"But she stands in the forefront every time," Jiang Shu understood what Tang was trying to say. "That’s a contradiction."
"Right." Tang closed his eyes as if he could see Mu Jin in the void, "I can feel that she’s a person eager to showcase herself."
Tang opened his eyes, his gaze still sharp, "but her real thoughts are firmly suppressed by reality, so she uses this method to prove something."
"She’s different from the others; she treats it all as a game."
"So she’s the best breakthrough."
Jiang Shu frowned, "But all this is your speculation, beyond a feeling you have nothing."
"What’s your opinion then?" Tang asked, almost mockingly.
"I agree," Jiang Shu’s expression relaxed.
Wolf nodded emphatically too. "Me as well."
