Chapter 1335: Chapter 1334: Wang Junyi Reborn

You Meng waved her hand indifferently, and after Su Changfeng left, the corner of her mouth curved as she murmured, "You will definitely be very surprised when you recover. As for whether you can handle it or not, that’s not my concern."

Su Changfeng left the courtyard and went directly to the City Lord Mansion.

This time, naturally, no one came out to stop Su Changfeng. As for the previous guards, they respectfully greeted him even before he reached the door.

Not only was he Wang Junyi’s master, but he was also a master above the seventh rank, so how could they not show him respect?

"Mr. Ye, you’ve arrived.

"Hello, Mr. Ye."

"Mr. Ye..."

A group of people greeted Su Changfeng one after another.

"Is Wang Junyi in the mansion?" Su Changfeng asked.

"Young Master is inside, Mr. Ye, please come this way." One of them said to Su Changfeng and personally led him into the City Lord Mansion.

As soon as they walked in, a middle-aged man who bore some resemblance to Wang Junyi came out. Presumably, he was the long-absent City Lord.

Wang Chongxing had long wanted to meet his son’s master, but had not found the opportunity. The last time Su Changfeng came to the City Lord Mansion, he was out on business, so he had not yet met him.

Now, seeing the guard leading a young man with an extraordinary aura, he instantly guessed the young man’s identity and approached him eagerly.

Even as the City Lord, Wang Chongxing still showed his utmost respect, humbly clasped his fists, and sincerely said, "You must be Wang Junyi’s master, Su Changfeng?"

Su Changfeng smiled; Wang Chongxing, as the City Lord, truly did not put on airs.

"That’s right, then you must be the City Lord," said Su Changfeng.

Wang Chongxing glanced at the guard, who nodded and then left.

"Mr. Ye is joking. In your presence, how could I dare claim to be the City Lord? Besides, without you, I would just be a puppet," Wang Chongxing said somewhat embarrassedly.

He was well aware of his own situation. Over the years, he had always been a puppet of the three major families, and although he had resisted, without Su Changfeng, he didn’t know when he would achieve his goal.

Now, with his newfound strength and the removal of all obstacles, he naturally had Su Changfeng to thank sincerely from the bottom of his heart.

Whether he needed to put on airs depended entirely on the other person’s status; for instance, if the three major families wanted to see him, it would naturally be impossible. But in front of a powerful figure like Su Changfeng, there was no need to put on any airs.

"The City Lord is joking; I’m just an ordinary citizen, and cannot be compared to the City Lord," Su Changfeng said.

Su Changfeng’s words were merely conventional politeness. However, Wang Chongxing’s face changed dramatically; he did not dare to compare himself with Su Changfeng or refer to himself as the City Lord in front of him.

"Mr. Ye, you are a master highly regarded by Xingluo City; I’m just a minor City Lord and cannot compare to you. Mr. Ye, you overstate it," Wang Chongxing replied.

Su Changfeng felt a bit helpless. He naturally didn’t expect that his casual comment would provoke such a strong reaction from Wang Chongxing.

"I have something to discuss with Wang Junyi. Could I trouble the City Lord to lead the way?" Su Changfeng said.

"Mr. Ye, you’re too kind. This way, please." Wang Chongxing spoke in a very deferential manner, almost bowing ninety degrees.

Wang Junyi was akin to a nobody in the past and never bothered to cultivate. Since reaching the second rank, he had given up, thinking he had no chance of achieving anything significant in his cultivation.

However, with his strength suddenly advancing to the fifth rank overnight, Wang Junyi’s passion for cultivation was ignited. Now, whenever he had any free time, he would meditate. Perhaps when a person has hope, they feel a drive to move upwards.

Now Wang Junyi was no longer a nobody. His dream was to follow in Su Changfeng’s footsteps. Although he knew that he probably couldn’t achieve Su Changfeng’s level of success, he secretly told himself that he needed to become a master at the late stage of the third rank at the very least so as not to bring shame to Su Changfeng.

Wang Chongxing led Su Changfeng to the door of Wang Junyi’s room and knocked lightly.

"Junyi, what are you doing? Come out quickly!" Wang Chongxing shouted loudly.

Inside, Wang Junyi, who was meditating, couldn’t help but frown. Being disturbed at such a time was quite unpleasant, even if it was his father.

"Father, I’m meditating. What brings you here?" Wang Junyi asked.

"Your master has something to discuss with you," Wang Chongxing said simply.

Wang Junyi was momentarily stunned, then quickly got up to open the door, taking no more than three seconds in total with impressive speed.

Seeing Su Changfeng outside the door, his expression immediately turned ingratiating as he smiled and said, "Master, it’s really you."

Seeing his son with such a fawning expression, Wang Chongxing was not surprised, thinking it was fitting. After all, even Xingluo highly esteemed a master like Su Changfeng, so it was only natural for them to do likewise.

"I’m planning to leave Tianshui City tomorrow, so I’m telling you in advance. If you don’t want to leave, you don’t have to," Su Changfeng said.

"Of course I want to leave! Why wouldn’t I? Master, you must take me with you!" Wang Junyi said anxiously. He had already decided that he must follow Su Changfeng, since achieving a breakthrough would rely heavily upon Su Changfeng’s help. Without him, he figured he would be stuck at the fifth rank forever.

Su Changfeng looked at Wang Chongxing, his expression somewhat awkward. In fact, this visit was partly to inform Wang Junyi of his upcoming departure and partly to suggest that Wang Junyi bring more money with them to Xinluo City for use.

Wang Chongxing was no fool and immediately understood Su Changfeng’s difficulty, promptly saying, "I just remembered I have something to attend to, so I’ll leave you two to talk."

After Wang Chongxing left, Wang Junyi asked in a low voice, "Master, do you have anything else to instruct?"

"I plan to check out Xinluo City. Surely you know what kind of place that is?" Su Changfeng said.

Wang Junyi nodded. Having lived within Xingluo all his life, he naturally knew of Xinluo City, the largest auction venue within the Xingluo Territory.

"Master, I understand. Are you suggesting I should bring more money?" Wang Junyi asked.

"You’ve got it," Su Changfeng smiled, patting him on the shoulder.

Being praised by his master made Wang Junyi very happy. He said, "Rest assured, Master; I extorted quite a bit of money from Qiyun City before, and I can also scrape some from my father this time."

"Don’t force it, just enough is fine," Su Changfeng advised.

"No need to force; my father would be more than happy about it," Wang Junyi said with a smile.
