Chapter 1322: Chapter 1321: Who Are You, Really?
"Who exactly are you? You don’t seem like a beggar," Su Changfeng said bluntly.
You Meng curled her lips and said, "If you want to know who I am, keep me here. Then you’ll find out later."
Su Changfeng frowned. It was clear from her words that she wasn’t just any beggar, but she didn’t want to reveal it unless Su Changfeng was willing to keep her around.
"Is this a trade?" Su Changfeng raised an eyebrow.
You Meng nodded with a smile.
"What if I don’t want to know your identity? Would you leave then?" Su Changfeng asked indifferently.
You Meng seemed surprised by Su Changfeng’s response and frowned, as though contemplating something.
"We don’t care who you are, you can leave now," Qiutang Yu’er couldn’t help but say.
"No, you must want to know who I am!" You Meng insisted unyieldingly.
Su Changfeng laughed helplessly, not expecting this girl to be so domineering. But he had already taken in Qiutang Yu’er, whose identity was special. He wouldn’t take in another person with an unclear background like You Meng.
Besides, his place wasn’t a shelter, and he was about to leave Tianshui City. Having such a pretty young girl with him could bring endless troubles.
"You should leave, I won’t let you stay," Su Changfeng said decisively.
You Meng suddenly looked at Qiutang Yu’er and said, "If you’re unwilling to keep me, I’ll reveal her identity."
"Her identity?" Su Changfeng frowned. Could it be that this girl knew Qiutang Yu’er’s true identity and was using it to threaten him?
However, after thinking it over, Su Changfeng found it unlikely. After all, nobody knew Qiutang Yu’er’s identity, and judging by this young girl’s age, she didn’t seem like someone familiar with the Qiutang Clan.
"I don’t understand what you mean," Su Changfeng feigned ignorance.
"She is the last survivor of the Qiutang Clan. If Xingluo knows anyone from the Qiutang Clan is still alive, they’ll definitely send people to eliminate her," You Meng said.
Su Changfeng’s expression subtly changed, not expecting this girl to know Qiutang Yu’er’s identity.
He couldn’t help but look at Qiutang Yu’er. Could she have accidentally let it slip?
Qiutang Yu’er shook her head and said, "I never told her. Do you think this is a trivial matter? Would I casually tell outsiders?"
Su Changfeng knew Qiutang Yu’er wasn’t so foolish. She wouldn’t casually reveal her identity.
"Who told you about this?" Su Changfeng asked You Meng.
"I know much more, like the sister you’ve been searching for," You Meng said with a smile.
Chen Qingqing!
Upon hearing this, Su Changfeng could no longer remain calm. He was anxious to find Chen Qingqing, yet there had been no news. If You Meng knew about her, he wouldn’t mind having another person around.
"Where is she?" Su Changfeng couldn’t help but ask.
"I can’t tell you, but if you keep me, I might consider it," You Meng said smugly.
Su Changfeng didn’t know what to do with You Meng’s attitude.
This young girl deliberately hid her identity. If he kept her, would it be a blessing or a curse? But she knew about Chen Qingqing and had even uncovered Qiutang Yu’er’s identity. He couldn’t just dismiss her.
He wanted to understand her identity, but she made it clear: only by keeping her would he find out who she really was.
"Why did you seek me out?" Su Changfeng asked, then added, "You must answer, or I can’t keep you."
"I just thought you were formidable, so I came," You Meng said.
Uh...
Su Changfeng was at a loss. What kind of answer was that? Was his question for nothing?
Despite this, Su Changfeng knew well that You Meng must have some grand secret. Her true motives would likely only be revealed through long-term contact.
"Are you really planning to keep her?" Qiutang Yu’er asked nervously, looking at Su Changfeng. She knew how much Su Changfeng wanted to find Chen Qingqing, so upon hearing You Meng mention Chen Qingqing, she instinctively knew Su Changfeng might keep her, though she hoped otherwise.
"I must find Chen Qingqing," Su Changfeng said.
"Do you truly trust her? What if she’s lying?" Qiutang Yu’er replied, unwilling to accept.
Su Changfeng remained silent, feeling that You Meng wasn’t lying. After all, she easily revealed Qiutang Yu’er’s identity. Knowing about Chen Qingqing’s whereabouts didn’t seem so strange.
Besides, this young girl’s identity seemed complex. She knew things that others didn’t, hinting at some backing.
"You can stay, but if you act against us, I’ll kill you myself," Su Changfeng warned.
You Meng smiled, seemingly unfazed by Su Changfeng’s threat, and replied straightforwardly, "Fine, if you want to kill me, I won’t mind."
Qiutang Yu’er sighed. The situation was beyond what she could control. After all, Chen Qingqing was too important to Su Changfeng. How could she change his mind?
You Meng bounced over to Su Changfeng, her demeanor lively like a little girl.
"I heard you killed Xingluo’s men before. How did you manage that?" You Meng looked at Su Changfeng and asked.
With You Meng revealing Qiutang Yu’er’s identity and knowing about Chen Qingqing, Su Changfeng wasn’t surprised she asked such a question.
"How is Chen Qingqing now? Tell me, and I’ll answer you," Su Changfeng countered.
"She’s very safe now," You Meng replied.
"Are you sure?" Su Changfeng asked skeptically, seeing her confident answer.
You Meng nodded affirmatively, "I’m sure. If you still don’t believe me, I can swear it."
"When I killed them, it was easy—one move and they were done. Seventh-rank power was too weak against me," Su Changfeng said, answering You Meng’s question.
You Meng sighed and said, "How pathetic, to be defeated so easily."
Su Changfeng found it amusing. Even though he dispatched them with a single strike, they were still Seventh-rank experts. They couldn’t just be randomly dismissed as useless!
This young girl may be small, but her words were bold, claiming Seventh-rank experts were trash.
