Chapter 159: Kiss
Bryce’s POV
His mind had already been made up. The wheel had already been in motion.
The story that he’d fed Vivian was that they were just going to hang out. But it had been a total lie. In reality Bryce had planned to do a whole lot more than that to her. With a bit of sweet talking and a lot of wine. He had been certain that he would be able to get Vivian to have sex with him.
Sure, it would have been boring. It had always been that way with her, ( no matter how many times he’d admonished her for being a cold fish in bed the woman had never changed-if anything she had gotten worse over the years. But having sex with her would have cemented the fact that they were back together. There would have been no way for her to deny him anything after that.
With his mind set on that Bryce had spent the majority of the day before psyching himself up. Getting ready to touch all of the lard that was Vivian Rose without letting his disgust show. He had even planned to take her from behind so that he was at least spared the sight of her face and those far too big breasts.
Knowing that she would most probably still be playing her little resistance game Bryce had headed over to Vivian’s apartment building an hour early. Intent on catching her off guard, and then smooth-talking her until she agreed to drink with him. Something that would have allowed him to take advantage of her more easily.
While in his car though, he had caught sight of a familiar face that did not belong in the area that he’d been in.
Ryan Terrell.
A billionaire walking around in a working class area of the city.
That had been so weird that Bryce, all thoughts of Vivian Rose quickly forgotten, had decided to follow the billionaire at a distance to find out what exactly he was doing there.
As it had turned out the very woman that Bryce had just mentally dismissed, had proven to be very integral to the presence of Ryan Terrell in the apartment block.
The man had shown up there to see Vivian of all people.

Even after he had watched Ryan Terrell go into the apartment, Bryce had not truly believed it.
Ryan Terrell, a billionaire and Vivian Rose... no way.
Somethings just were never meant to happen.
Clinging to the hope that the rules of the universe still worked. That someone like Vivian Rose could not possibly have caught the interest of a man as powerful as Ryan Terrell.
Bryce had gone to wait in his car, convinced that for whatever reason Ryan had business with Vivian and once that business was completed he would leave.
At most, Bryce had thought that he would be waiting for around half an hour. But thirty agonizing minutes had become an hour, then two, then three, and before he had known it,
Bryce had spent the night in his car. His entire body protesting from being in such a cramped space, his eyes burning from him barely blinking as he had kept up his surveillance.
In all of those hours Ryan Terrell had not come outside at all. There was only one reason for that. But even with the evidence of all of the hours that he had spent in his car. Bryce had still not been able to believe it, at least until he’d seen it...

A kiss.
It had taken watching Vivian lock lips with Ryan Terrell as the man left hours after entering Vivian’s apartment for Bryce to stop lying to himself and accept the truth.
But even though there was no denying what he had seen, Bryce was still struggling with it.
Ryan Terrell and Piggy! Just what had the world come to.
Ryan Terrell was rich, filthy-stinking rich.
He could have had any woman that he wanted.
In fact, Bryce had seen some of the man’s exes on the internet. They were gorgeous. The most stunning creatures to ever walk the earth. And Bryce was supposed to believe that Ryan had looked past all of those beauties, seen Vivian with all of her imperfections, and had chosen her.
There was just no way that was possible.
But it was, Vivian had chosen a billionaire over him. Proof that she was secretly a gold digger just as he had always suspected. But even if a part of him was glad to be proven right about Vivian truly being worthless and money hungry. The most prominent emotion that he was feeling was anger.
For weeks now, Vivian had led him on.
She had kept him at arm’s length. Something that she had surely known would make Bryce want her more.
But the entire time she had been playing him. She had already known that Ryan Terrell was waiting for her.
What an awful woman she was. Making him get his hopes up, allowing him to believe that they could go back to being as they had always been. When the entire time, she’d known that she had a billionaire to run back to.
Did she truly think that she could treat him so badly. Forcing him to heap affection on her, and then ditch him for a rich guy, that Bryce would just let her walk all over him? Did she think that he was just some chump there to cater to her every need and then go quietly into the night the moment that she was done with him?
Ha! She had another thing coming if she truly thought that he would go away without a fight. He was through with being used by her. He was going to destroy the little happiness that she thought she’d found with Ryan Terrell and any other thing that Vivian might cling to for strength.
She did not deserve nice things, and he was going to take them away from her...it would be his pleasure.
