The Protagonist: Arthur von Pendelton (Age: 6 at start). A reincarnated super-engineer. He looks at a bird and understands aerodynamics; he looks at a fireball spell and understands energy displacement equations.
The Flaw: If the neighboring Princess proposes marriage to solidify an alliance, Arthur assumes she just wants access to his new pattern of textile looms.
The Family: The Pendeltons. A powerful, wealthy ducal family who absolutely adore their son. They think his strange inventions are signs of divine blessing.
