Chapter 66: Fuck!
"They’re not even hiding it anymore."
Arianna’s heart dropped to her feet. Her suspicions had been right. She never thought that Logan would have the nerve to cheat on her, especially with her best friend.
Her hand shook, unable to contain herself. Tears brimmed in the corners of her eyes, but she quickly sniffled them back in. Her fist clenched, rage bubbling beneath her skin.
After so many years of marriage, was this the right way he could think of repaying her?
Arianna stiffened when she felt a hand touch her shoulders.
"Arianna," she heard a familiar voice.
Arianna turned to find one of her closest friends, Lilian.
Lilian’s eyebrows creased into a frown. "Why are you crying?"
Arianna quickly reached for her face and found wet tears streaming down her face. She hadn’t realized that she’d been crying.
"It’s nothing," she said as she wiped them off quickly. "I think something got into my eyes, that’s all."
Lilian didn’t believe her, her eyes narrowing suspiciously on her.
She glanced around. "Where’s Logan and Vivian?"
Arianna’s heart clenched.
Logan and Vivian. She still needed to catch them red-handed.
"Excuse me. I’ll be right back."
Before Lilian could muster a question, Arianna was already gone.
Arianna matched past the group of people who tried to stop her for a talk or two.
What she didn’t know was that a pair of dark eyes was still on her, calculating her every step, watching her every move like a predator would watch its prey.
