Chapter 1398: Chapter 455: Mo Han & Wanwan Arc – Telling Her the Real Culprit 2
The man directly opened the document bag in his hand, pulled out all the documents inside, and handed them to Ning Wan.
Ning Wan didn’t know what this was, but she felt it should be related to her parents’ accidental death, or perhaps... the truth behind it.
So she just hesitated for a moment, then took all the documents and began to look through them.
But after looking at just a few pages, her initial calmness vanished. Upon realizing the contents of the documents, she could no longer remain composed. Her hand holding the documents began to slowly tighten, and her emotions almost reached a breaking point.
Xi Mohan sat beside her and naturally noticed her emotional change. However, even though he saw her emotions nearing collapse, he still didn’t speak, nor did he do anything, just sat there quietly watching her.
These were the investigation reports regarding the car accident, detailed to the extent that even the police couldn’t manage, along with some printed photos.
And these... made Ning Wan almost unable to believe it, to the point of nearing collapse.
After finishing reading all the documents, Ning Wan finally looked up at Xi Mohan beside her, her eyes slightly red, and asked, "Are these all true?"
Upon hearing her question, Xi Mohan couldn’t help but slightly frown. He felt a subtle dissatisfaction in his heart due to her distrust, but still replied with a question rather than an answer, "Do you think I would find fake information to give you?"
"I don’t mean that, I just feel a bit..."
"Unbelievable, right?" He interrupted and added for her before she finished speaking.
Ning Wan’s teeth bit her lip as she lowered her gaze to the documents in her hand, feeling extremely uncomfortable inside.
Indeed... she truly couldn’t believe it.
After all, she never thought that the mastermind behind her parents’ death would be her uncle.
How could she directly accept this?
For so long, she believed that even though her uncle might not treat her well, he would never harm her parents, let alone be so ruthless.
So all these years, even while investigating the truth, she never suspected her uncle.
But now... the documents Xi Mohan provided, all pointed to her uncle as the one responsible for her parents’ death.
How could he? How could he be so ruthless for the sake of inheritance?
Xi Mohan showed no change in expression throughout, as he had known the truth two years ago. It was only because the evidence was insufficient back then that he didn’t tell Ning Wan directly.
The most important part is that, two years ago, Ning Wan wasn’t his woman, and now that she is, he certainly wouldn’t stand by unconcerned.
Xi Mohan felt disdain towards Ning Yan’er’s father’s actions, and more than that, he looked down on him. Many people use all sorts of means to fight for inheritance, but this method of harming one’s own brother filled him with disgust.
Ning Wan’s emotions kept trying to suppress, but the more she suppressed, the more she wanted to cry. Tears quickly rolled down from her eyes and fell onto the documents, slowly smudging them.
