Chapter 1392: Chapter 449: Mo Han & Wanwan Arc – From Now On, You’ll Live Here
Their gazes collided directly, and Ning Wan’s body instantly froze, forgetting all movements.
The man probably also hadn’t expected her to sneak a peek at him. After a brief moment of surprise, a meaningful smile appeared in those deep eyes of his.
Ning Wan clearly saw the smile in Xi Mohan’s eyes, and immediately her small face, the size of a palm, showed a hint of awkward anger, as if she had been caught red-handed doing something wrong. Her face instantly showed a few hints of discomfort, and she hurriedly turned her head to look away.
Throughout the meal, Ning Wan didn’t eat much. After all, with Xi Mohan staring at her so blatantly, who could eat properly?
After leaving the restaurant, Ning Wan turned to look at the man following closely behind her and said, "May I go back now?"
She used the very polite term ’May I,’ making the two of them seem very distant.
Xi Mohan’s face suddenly darkened slightly. His deep eyes fixed on her, hinting at some inexplicable anger from within, yet he said, "You’ll be living here from now on. Where else do you want to go back to?"
Ning Wan’s eyes widened in surprise. She hadn’t expected Xi Mohan to say such a thing, leaving her momentarily unable to react.
Once she processed his words, she asked in disbelief, "Xi Mohan, what did you just say?"
Did she hear correctly? This man actually said she would be living here from now on?
Was he joking?
Xi Mohan glanced at her indifferently, then stepped past her towards the second floor, saying as he went, "You’ll be residing here from now on. I’ll have someone gather your things from the apartment later and bring them here..."
Watching the man’s retreating figure and listening to his words, Ning Wan was almost shocked still. Once she regained her senses, she hurriedly followed him, quickly running up to block his path at the staircase entrance.
The man stopped in his tracks, raised his eyes to look at the girl standing angrily in front of him, and lightly asked, "Is there anything else you don’t understand?"
Ning Wan’s face was full of anger. Firstly, because this man’s attitude was truly infuriating; secondly...what gave him the right to make such a decision for her?
Xi Mohan naturally noticed that Ning Wan was angry, but he remained indifferent, even feeling a bit more at ease seeing her so full of rage.
The two stood at the staircase entrance, one with an expression too calm to read any emotion, and the other with a face full of simmering anger. The contrast between them was strikingly vivid.
The servants working in the villa, after seeing this scene, quickly left so as not to get caught in the crossfire later.
Xi Mohan raised his wrist to check the time on his watch and then looked at Ning Wan. "I have another meeting in ten minutes. After you sort things out in your mind, come and ask me again."
With that, he brushed past Ning Wan and went upstairs.
Ning Wan, "..." Damn it, I haven’t finished talking.
