Chapter 1373: Chapter 734: Mo Han & Wanwan Arc – He Told Her to Get Out
The man’s expression was too serious, Ning Wan was frightened and stiffened, not daring to move.
When she came to her senses, she realized that Xi Mohan had already walked up to Song Qiao.
Blinking her eyes, she instinctively placed her hand on her chest, faintly feeling her heart pounding uncontrollably.
Just when she was considering whether to walk over, she saw Xi Mohan already lifting his foot towards her, while Song Qiao stood there waving at her before turning to leave.
Ning Wan, "..." completely bewildered.
Is it over like this?
Qiaoqiao just left like that?
Watching Song Qiao’s figure gradually receding, Ning Wan lifted her leg to catch up, but after just two steps, Xi Mohan, already in front of her, grabbed her arm and dragged her towards the parked black Maybach.
Forced to retreat, Ning Wan was almost furious, waving her hand to break free, but the difference in strength between men and women was evident, and no matter how much she struggled, it was in vain. She almost gritted her teeth, shouting his name, "Xi Mohan..."
The man did not stop walking, his thin lips pressed together, his face expressionless and showed no pity. When the driver helped open the door, he directly threw her into the car.
Ning Wan felt herself lose balance and fall into the car, her head accidentally hitting the side of the door. Though it was just a scratch, it was painful enough for her to cry out, clutching the back of her head and sitting still.
Xi Mohan stood beside the car, looking down at Ning Wan’s painful expression, his lips slightly parted as he uttered two words, "Deserved it."
Ning Wan, "..." Damn this man, Xi Mohan.
How could she ever fall for such an infuriating man?
"Sit further in."
Ning Wan didn’t move.
Xi Mohan simply bent down and gently picked her up horizontally, placing her in the seat before settling into the car himself.
The back of her head hurt badly, and as someone particularly sensitive to pain, the tears unknowingly rolled down her cheeks.
But in truth, she wasn’t sure whether she was crying from pain or from something else.
Xi Mohan originally intended to ignore her, planning to rest with his eyes closed, but from the corner of his eye, he saw her tears and his brows furrowed.
Seeing her face which had suddenly become pitiful, Xi Mohan quietly watched for a moment before raising his hand to gently rub the back of her head where she bumped it.
Ning Wan lowered her head, tears dropping onto her clothes as she stared at them, and with a muffled voice, she spoke, "Who wants your pretend kindness?"
Her tone carried more of an angry undertone.
Xi Mohan didn’t take her words to heart, deftly controlling the strength as he silently rubbed her head.
The driver occasionally glanced at the rear situation through the rearview mirror, surprised to see his boss helping Ning Wan rub her head.
Such gentleness was unprecedented from the boss towards any woman.
And Ning Wan was definitely the first.
...
The pain in the back of her head had lessened; Ning Wan felt completely enveloped by the scent of the man’s masculinity. She had to admit he had controlled his strength well enough that it felt comfortable, making her want him to continue rubbing.
However, recalling the news reports, her mood suddenly turned irritable, and she reflexively swatted his hand away, her tone poor, "Don’t touch me."
Perhaps Ning Wan applied too much strength, causing Xi Mohan’s hand to hit the car roof with a loud sound, suggesting it was quite painful.
Ning Wan heard the sound, but her expression was merely slightly conflicted and quickly grew indifferent, turning her gaze to the window to avoid looking at the man beside her.
Xi Mohan’s hand hovered in mid-air for a moment before he withdrew it, his face dark as he looked at Ning Wan, asking, "Ning Wan, what’s your problem?"
From the start, he sensed this girl’s mood was oddly disobedient, her tone combative as though staring at him ignited an inferno of anger.
Especially whenever she seemed unwilling to see his face, his mood became restless, slowly stirring a faint anger within.
Upon hearing Xi Mohan’s words, Ning Wan’s hand beside her clenched, she closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and turned her gaze from the window to his face, sneeringly saying, "Xi Mohan, if you don’t want to see me, don’t force yourself to pick me up. Besides... I don’t want to see you now either, so could you please not appear before me?"
Whenever she saw Xi Mohan, she couldn’t quell the fury in her heart.
Clearly, Xi Mohan had promised her he wouldn’t be with Ning Yan’er, yet he broke his word.
Indeed... men’s words are never reliable.
Liar.
Big liar.
From now on, she wouldn’t believe a word from Xi Mohan.
Xi Mohan’s face turned grim, not because of Ning Wan’s previous words but for her last statement, [I don’t want to see you now either, so could you please not appear before me?]
"Ning Wan, repeat what you just said!"
Ning Wan paused, then with almost immediate resolve, repeated her previous statement verbatim, "Xi Mohan, if you don’t want to see me, don’t force yourself to pick me up. Besides... I don’t want to see you now either, so could you please not appear before me?"
The next second, the car resounded with the man’s voice, almost suppressing anger, "Stop the car!"
The driver was startled, hastily pulling over to the roadside.
Xi Mohan’s handsome face brimming with anger, coldly ordered Ning Wan, "Get out."
Ning Wan stiffened, her face paling a few shades as she stared at his enraged expression, then biting her lip, grabbed her backpack, opened the door, and stepped out.
As soon as she left and shut the door, the car immediately drove away, leaving behind a gust of wind that lifted her clothing hem.
Watching the car fade and disappear from view, the tears on her sullen face finally fell.
