Chapter 1111: Chapter 1051: A Severed Finger
Night Owl glanced at Celia Rafael, smiled at her, making Celia’s heart skip a beat, and she forgot what she was about to say.
"Don’t take that woman’s words to heart, I know you’re not that kind of person." Night Owl lowered his head, looking at Sienna Johnson with gentle and affectionate eyes.
Sienna’s face was a bit pale, her head slightly bowed, Night Owl couldn’t resist grabbing a strand of her hair, which was black and silky, sliding through his fingers, and Night Owl let out a sigh.
"The innocent are innocent," Sienna replied.
Innocent are innocent? But they couldn’t stay "innocent."
"It’s snowing, let’s go see the snow," Night Owl invited.
In the past, Sienna would have flatly refused, but now she agreed to his invitation.
This man stayed upstairs for such a long time; he must have gone to ask Noah Phillips for the signal.
There was no signal at all.
Yet, this man confidently and assuredly told her a signal.
Unknown to him, Noah Phillips gave a fake signal, indirectly telling Sienna that the man in front of her had issues, while also informing Sienna that he was still alive.
"Snowing?" Sienna murmured.
"Yes, it has already covered the ground with a thin layer of snow," Night Owl said softly, reaching out to touch her hair again, when Sienna suddenly stood up.
"The snow came early this year," Sienna said.
"A good harvest year starts with a snowfall," Night Owl thought of a proverb from Orienta.
"It’s a good omen!"
"Let’s go, we’ll watch the snow. When the snow gets heavier, we can build a snowman."
Building a snowman, such a boring task, Night Owl felt he could tolerate it if done together with Sienna.
"I remember the snowman you made was the best looking," Sienna said.
"..."
"Later, make a snowman for me."
"Alright."
As Sienna and Night Owl walked out side by side, the hall instantly fell silent; the two seemed a bit off.
Celia awoke from Night Owl’s charming smile, seeing the backs of the two walking out together, jealousy filled her heart.
"And you still say there’s nothing going on between those two, nobody would believe it. Scumbags!" Celia said sarcastically.
"Celia, can you speak with some basis? Stop making unfounded accusations." Greta Rafael spoke up for Sienna.
"Are you all blind? Didn’t you see the two of them flirting? You saw just now how Drew Rafael looked at Belinda Rafael, he was practically glued to her. If there’s nothing going on between those two, I’ll cut my head off for you to use as a ball."
"The two have had a good relationship since childhood, always inseparable. It’s rare for everyone to gather together; what’s wrong with the two chatting?"
Celia looked at Greta and said, "Oh, didn’t see your good relations before; must be knowing Belinda married into a wealthy family, became a madam, perhaps you’re buttering her up to introduce you to some coal or real estate boss?"
"Don’t insult me with your filthy mind! If I fancy a man, even if he’s a beggar, I’ll marry him!"
People grow up, hearts drift apart.
This gathering was indeed pointless.
Dean Rafael sat in the wheelchair, watching these previously parentless children, now all grown up with decent jobs; some even married with kids, starting new lives.
A black cat suddenly jumped onto the long dining table, startling everyone. Someone waved their hand to chase the cat away.
"Shoo, shoo..."
"Wait, what’s in its mouth?" someone noticed the black cat gripping something in its mouth.
"A sausage?" It looked meat-colored.
The black cat saw Celia, who was arguing with Greta, and suddenly leapt onto Celia, causing her to scream and slap at the cat on her.
"Get off! I hate cats the most."
"..."
"Help, quick, get this damned cat off me!"
Greta crossed her arms, not intending to help, "Celia, apologize to me, then I’ll help you."
"Ah..."
"Celia, you seem to have a bond with this cat. Look, she’s so attached to you, even brought you a piece of sausage... Haha... It’s amusing, the sausage even has a red nail polish... Ha, haha..."
Celia’s gaze fell on the item in the cat’s mouth, and upon seeing it, she almost fainted.
"A finger, a finger..."
Dean Rafael said, "Greta, stop being mischievous, quickly get the cat off Celia."
"Yes, Dean," Greta obediently listened, "Celia, I’m helping you only because of Dean, you better remember my kindness..."
"A finger, it’s a human finger!" Celia spoke quickly.
"What finger?"
"The cat’s mouth holds a human finger!" Celia pulled the cat away and hid behind Dean Rafael, trembling as she watched the black cat.
Miao... The cat meowed, dropping the item from its mouth.
Under the lights, a pale piece, painted with red nail polish, was clearly a human finger.
Everyone stared blankly at the finger on the ground, feeling the air around them cease flowing, a chilling sensation at the back of their necks, the surroundings becoming eerie.
Not a sound, except the eerie meow of the black cat carrying a human finger...
Miao... As the cat meowed, everyone’s hearts started creeping.
Greta was bolder and said, "Is there another event today? This must be a courage test. But this finger looks real, at first glance, it’s realistic."
"Greta, are you saying this is fake?"
"Not a prop, but a real finger? Watched too much Conan, every episode someone dies, if Conan ends, Raelnia’s population extinct."
Greta approached and picked up the finger from the ground, looking closely; with that look, her face went ashen.
"Greta, you’re so brave."
"Yeah, even a fake one I wouldn’t dare touch. It’s terrifying... I’ll definitely have nightmares tonight."
"Speak, which wicked person is behind this? To torment us like this."
"Exactly, too much. Don’t they know we’re timid?"
Greta suddenly screamed, staring at the finger, her eyes wide, "Ah, ah ah ah..."
"Greta, what’s wrong?"
"Someone’s dead, someone’s dead..."
"What on earth happened?"
"This isn’t a prop; it’s a real finger... Oh no, my body’s paralyzed, someone get this finger off my hand. Boo hoo..." Greta’s body couldn’t move at all.
A few bold boys approached, seeing what Greta held, made them shiver inside.
"I’m going to call 110."
"First get the finger off! Oh no, I’m going to die... I’ll have a lifelong psychological shadow." Greta screamed.
