Chapter 44: Stacey Confronts David
Cassie headed back to the table, smile in place. She ignored the sticky feeling on the front of her blouse. By the time she got to the table, her emotions were in place.
"Hey, birthday boy, I’m back with the drink. Give it a try and tell me what you think."
Brody took a sip of the rich, creamy rum. Cassie looked at him expectantly.
"Well?"
"It’s good!"
She cheered. "Alright, remember that one’s on me. I’ll go get the rest. When I come back, you’re taking a shot with me."
She was halfway back to the bar when Stacey came up to her. Seeing her, Cassie felt relieved.
"Did she tell you what it was?" she asked urgently.
"Mistaken identity."
"Mistaken Identity? Are you kidding me? She threw alcohol on me because of a mistaken identity?!"
"Calm down," Stacey said frantically. "I told you she’s a little coo-coo."
"A little?" Cassie said, exasperated.
"Don’t worry about it. I talked to her, and the misunderstanding has been sorted out. There’s no more trouble from now on."
Cassie looked relieved when she heard that.
"Are you sure?"
"I’m sure."
"So, when is she going to apologize for this?" She gestured to the front of her shirt.
"Uhhh...don’t expect one." Stacey clamped a hand over Cassie’s mouth. "Just let it go and don’t make things worse. I told you she goes off for minor stuff. Don’t let it bother you."
Cassie didn’t want to let it go, but seeing Stacey being so frantic about it, she felt she didn’t want to deal with Dina, so she nodded.
Stacey released a breath. "Good, now let’s just get through tonight. It’s a slow Sunday, so we’ll get out of here early."
As Stacey said, the rest of the night went smoothly. There was no trouble at any of the tables, and Dina didn’t cause any trouble, though she kept shooting daggers at Cassie.
Cassie and Stacey went home together, but not long after, Stacey snuck out of the house. She ensured Cassie was fast asleep before she snuck out. If you consider sneaking out in broad daylight sneaking.
She made a quick call in the taxi, confirming that David was at home.
When she arrived at his door, she rang the doorbell; unlike usual, she didn’t jump on him the moment he answered. Instead, she glared.
"Looks like I’m in trouble," David joked.
"Damn right you are," she said before closing the door.
She walked over to the couch and sat down. No sooner had he come over than he pulled her onto his lap.
"Alright, tell me, what is my lovely lady so upset about?" He fiddled with the hem of her blouse as he spoke, but his eyes stayed on her.
"Are you Dina’s boyfriend? Like an exclusive type boyfriend."
The hand that had just moved under her blouse paused for a moment before continuing its journey. His eyes didn’t stray from hers.
"I am. Is that a problem?"
"Why didn’t you tell me? Someone took a picture of my friend from when you picked us up on Saturday and sent it to her. They think she and you are dating. She threw alcohol down the girl’s blouse."
David chuckled, then stopped when he saw Stacey’s serious expression.
"I’m not joking." She slapped his hand away.
"Alright, alright," he raised his hand in surrender. "It’s my fault. I’ll talk to her."
"Don’t," she hissed. "That’s just making things worse."
"Then what do you want me to do?"
"Nothing. I already told her that it must have been a misunderstanding and that you were helping a coworker. I don’t know if it worked or not. I even told her I’d keep an eye on my friend. Didn’t she call you?"
"She did. She’s coming by tonight."
Stacey laughed, her face full of fury. "She’s coming, and you still let me come here. Are you trying to get me in trouble?"
David didn’t take her anger to heart. She was still here, sitting on his lap. Even with the dick getting hard, she was sitting here having a conversation. He knew she was only feigning anger because he didn’t tell her from the beginning.
David’s hand travelled from her belly up to her breasts. He hummed before replying.
"You don’t mind a little trouble. You’re still here. Maybe you want her to walk in and find us like this."
She gasped as she felt his hand on her breast, pinching her nipple. "Don’t do that. What do you take me for?"
"My bitch," he replied smoothly.
Stacey wasn’t upset. She and David hadn’t spent much time together, but she already knew his preferences. The man had a strong possessive tendency. Hearing him call her that, she didn’t take it to heart.
"Not your only bitch apparently. But seriously," she ignored his wandering hands. "We need to deal with this. We either need to stop this or find some kind of workaround. I’m not using my friend as a scapegoat."
"Don’t think so much. When she comes over tonight. I’ll talk to her. Just tell me what you told her, and I’ll add to it."
His hand pinched her waist and played with her hips.
"David, don’t you know you shouldn’t lie to your girlfriend. You also shouldn’t be cheating like this. Dina’s a good girl."
David looked up at her, his hand threaded into her hair. He pulled her down so his lips were close to hers. He ran his tongue along her lip and looked into her eyes.
"Oh? A good girl? Then are you a good girl too?"
Stacey placed a quick kiss on his lips and smiled.
"I’m not a good girl. If I were a good girl, I would have walked away the second I knew you were with her. But here I am, letting you touch me and tease me. I’m definitely not a good girl."
She saw the fire in his eye. She didn’t hesitate and kissed him. He responded, hungry and filled with desire.
When they pulled apart, he said, "Then stay for a while. I need a bad girl to keep me company."
