Chapter 1888: Chapter 1875: Breaking Ties (1)

The scene suddenly fell silent.

The previously lively first-floor hall, filled with drinking and dining, was now quiet. Initially, Bo Yi burst out to cause trouble, with crew and staff members trying to mediate and argue. However, when the crew saw Bo Yan coming downstairs with his bodyguards, they all stepped aside without saying a word. Meanwhile, the staff had been "invited" by Song Fengzhi, who had come down earlier, to rest in the kitchen.

The entire venue was silent, with just the sound of Bo Yan and Xia Siyu’s leather shoes descending the stairs. One was steady, the other crisp. The stairway was covered with a red carpet to prevent guests from slipping, and the two of them walking down resembled a film festival’s red carpet scene.

Bo Yan had been suppressed at home. Later, he entered university, chose entertainment studies, and eventually pursued a PhD, intending to completely distance himself from Bo Family matters, becoming an ivory-tower scholar. If it weren’t for Xia Siyu’s interference, he might never have entered the entertainment circle and achieved his current status.

But before today, his public image was like an unreachable flower. Gentle, calm, scholarly, rarely engaging in direct conflicts with others. Now, however, he didn’t hide his sharpness; years at the top had given him confidence and strength. He didn’t need any acting skills; he naturally stood out among the crowd.

As for Xia Siyu, she had always projected an arrogant and overbearing image. Her demeanor didn’t require change: a slight lift of the chin, a quick glance, and instantly a condescending and dismissive attitude emerged.

Not only did they appear, but also followed by Shang Feifei and several other actors from the show, some of whom, though not very famous, were recognizable faces on television.

Goodness, a grand parade of people, just like they were attending some event.

It was Han Yifan who, upon seeing Shang Feifei, immediately ran over, though he said little. Instead, he shielded her, aligning with Bo Yan as they looked across the way.

Bo Yi was once a favored child, heavily invested by the family, particularly groomed by his grandfather and father. Yet he knew, if evaluating by ability, he was not on par with Bo Yan. His inferiority only fueled his arrogance. So, he climbed the corporate ladder step by step, and when his father took over the company, he eventually became head of finance and his ego surged. Adjusting financial reports, finding mistresses was just minor scenes; in the company, no decision of his was allowed to be altered.

He considered himself a young talent, and Bo Yan had previously restrained his edges, disdaining to engage with him. But now, the facades were torn down, and Bo Yan simply made no cover.

When the two men met again, Bo Yi originally charged over planning to humiliate, but perhaps due to the overwhelming presence or the pressure from Bo Yan, he couldn’t immediately utter those angry words.

It was Bo Qiliu, being the elder, who followed after his son, playing a supporting role. He also brought people; those people entered with him. He entered with a stern face, coldly glaring at Bo Yan, and snorted heavily, "Bo Yan!"

Bo Yan, however, remained calm, having no intention of hiding what he did. Concealing it would be futile anyway; any investigation would uncover it. He did indeed target Bosch Corporation, so what? In business, he didn’t fabricate false accusations from nothing—this was already lenient. A fly only targets a cracked egg; it was their falsified financial reports that provided him the opportunity, and now they blame him?

He stood with a nonchalant attitude, greeted with a smile, "Hello, Uncle."

If he were suddenly to get angry, showing a pleased-with-oneself expression, perhaps Bo Qiliu and Bo Yi would feel better. But he maintained an assured, calm demeanor, which was even more infuriating.

"You still acknowledge me as your uncle, and remember we’re family?" Bo Qiliu’s voice changed due to anger. Recently, he was exhausted, his hair turning white with stress. He might have still been secretly relieved that Li Yiru had cut ties before this, completely unaware that she had long prepared contingency plans.

Bo Yan wasn’t fazed; when he treated them as family, they took him as an enemy. Now, aligning with their perception, he became their enemy, and they talk of affection? In what world does such a favorable scenario exist?

"Shouldn’t you first ask yourself that question?" Xia Siyu was the first to speak. She’s forever unreserved, regardless of relations, even her own father wouldn’t escape her candidness. Just an uncle, she doesn’t bother showing respect. Did they foster Bo Yan or provide him anything? Using being elders as leverage?

Moreover, she won’t stand for anyone bullying her man!

"Xia Siyu!" Bo Yi was trembling with anger, glaring at her furiously.

Xia Siyu appeared indifferent, "What, did I say something wrong? You all know how he grew up. Since you chose to push him away long ago, whatever he does is his business, not any of yours."

Bo Yan squeezed her hand, tightly, expressing how pleased he was that she spoke up for him, although he could manage on his own.

His smile faded, but his expression remained composed. Everything had escalated to this point; presumably, his uncle and Bo Yi had prepared for confrontation. Perhaps, among those who followed them inside, some were holding phones, recording.

He had no intention of denying his actions. He wasn’t afraid of being exposed online or causing a scene: "If Uncle is here to ask if I sold Bosch’s stocks on NASDAQ, I admit, I sold them. Not only that, I made a significant profit. The stock market is like a casino; there are winners and losers. However, the stock market isn’t just a casino; after all, the ones falsifying financial reports weren’t me. If you hadn’t engaged in fraud, you could boldly make a statement on NASDAQ, even sue that former CFO for defamation, prove your innocence. Instead, here you are, blocking my door, demanding answers from me."

In a few succinct phrases, he outlined the entire matter’s background. Who told you to engage in fraud and present a flaw so readily? He merely took advantage, nothing more. He’s just someone who bought stocks, absolutely clueless about Bosch Corporation.

He admitted openly, instantly enraging Bo Qiliu and Bo Yi, especially Bo Yi, who angrily pointed his finger at Bo Yan’s face, "You admit it was you? You ruined Bosch!"

Bo Yan smiled slightly, "I don’t have such capability. I don’t even know the direction Bosch’s main entrance faces, to claim I ruined the company is too flattering. Perhaps you should find out who falsified the accounts, and for so many years."
