Chapter 2460: Chapter 2458: Six Paths of Reincarnation

The Monk pressed his palms together, sitting down as a twelve-petaled Golden Lotus Platform manifested beneath him, while above his head the Vajra sun wheel of the Mahayana Buddhist Sect appeared.

In an instant, it was as if a sun rose on the spot.

Rumbling thunder tore apart the surrounding darkness, and with the power of extreme yang, the Twelve Witch God Dharma Laksanas were simultaneously blasted away.

Long Fei stood opposite him, smiling faintly. "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, your reputation is indeed well deserved."

"Human Realm Emperor, I have long admired your great name."

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva likewise pressed his palms together in salute.

At his side, a Divine Beast resembling a Kylin appeared, letting out a dry roar toward Long Fei.

The Chaos Beast popped out at the same time, muttering by Long Fei’s ear, "That’s Listening Carefully, a descendant of the Kylin. Rumor has it this guy can hear right and wrong, discern truth and falsehood, and know past and future—pretty fierce."

Long Fei glanced at Listening Carefully, who remained steadily by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s side.

The Chaos Beast at his own side, on the other hand, was shifty-eyed and sneaky, completely lacking the bearing of a Divine Beast.

Long Fei said to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, "Bodhisattva, you ferry all beings here, but it is nothing more than a cup of water trying to put out a cartful of firewood. Only by repairing this world can it truly return to normal."

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said, "In the Witch‑Demon war, the Six Paths shattered and Reincarnation ceased to exist. Even Saints were helpless; how could you and I possibly have our way?"

Long Fei said, "The Six Paths of Reincarnation were originally formed when Witch God Hou Tu used her body to achieve Integration. If we recondense the body of Empress Hou Tu, there may yet be a sliver of hope."

The twelve ferocious Witch God Dharma Laksanas at his side all shifted, transforming into twelve normal Human Race figures, appearing before Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Among them, one wore a Phoenix Robe, a jade crown upon the head, features noble as an imperial god‑sovereign.

Though it was only a Banner Spirit condensed into shape, there was nevertheless upon her a certain aura of Mother Earth.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva observed and his brows moved slightly as he said, "It has the god‑aspect but not the true essence. It cannot succeed."

Long Fei asked, "Then when Bodhisattva first made your great vow, ’If Hell is not empty, I will not become a Buddha,’ were you certain you would succeed?"

"I am."

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva shook his head, calmly looking at the Yin Souls gathering all around. "My Buddha‑heart cannot be shaken. If I do not succeed in a single day, then I shall stay here for a single day. If I do not succeed in a lifetime, then I shall stay here for a lifetime."

Long Fei said, "You know this place is where the Yin Yang of the two realms alternates. After death, life from the Yang Realm will ceaselessly gather here. Only by restarting the Six Paths of Reincarnation can the current problem truly be resolved."

"Though that may be so, it would harm so many Yin Spirits. I will not permit you to do this."

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva held fast to his view.

"The Buddhist Sect has a saying: I ferry all people, and all people ferry me. These Yin Spirits are merely single beings condensed into one body; they have not vanished from this world—where is the harm in that? For Bodhisattva to be like this is rather too stubborn."

Long Fei’s brows tightened.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva remained unmoving as a mountain. "Your Dao and mine are different. More words are useless. If you can defeat me today, I will not interfere in your affairs. But if you lose, I must ask Emperor to leave this place."

"So be it!"

Long Fei brought out the Black Fiend Sword in sacrifice, and killing intent surged from his whole body, like a god of slaughter descending to the world.

The Chaos Beast at his side rubbed its fists, then rushed at Listening Carefully ahead of him, cursing, "Little Listening Carefully, take a punch from your grandpa!"

A flock of crows flew over Long Fei’s head as he drew his sword and stepped out.

His Sword Dao, fused with the sword intents of the Heaven-Piercing Nine Swordplay and the Xiaoxiang Nine Swords, already connected heaven and earth.

Sword Qi swept for thirty thousand li; a single sword could shatter the stars.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was unhurried and unpanicked. He pressed his palms together and chanted, "Command!"

The Green Lotus beneath him instantly radiated strands of green light, transforming into sky‑piercing lotus leaves that wrapped around him.

The pressing Sword Qi roared down, slashing with thunderous rumbling upon the green light of the lotus leaves.

The two forces clashed madly, instantly blasting out a wave of destructive impact that scattered in all directions.

Around them, more than a hundred thousand Yin Spirits were swept up by this shockwave and instantly turned to nothingness.

"Bind!"

With a shout from Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the Green Lotus beneath him transformed into strands of Azure Dragons, sweeping toward Long Fei.

Long Fei lifted his sword and shouted, "Break!"

A single ’Break’ sword move—breaking all Laws under heaven.

The Sword Qi shuddered and, with a thunderous roar, shattered the Green Lotus Buddha light into dust.

The Twelve Witch God Banner Spirits seized this opening and had already scattered, devouring the Yin Spirits on all sides.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was entangled with Long Fei and could spare no strength to stop them.

The strength of the two was evenly matched; neither could do anything to the other.

Long Fei was well versed in the Buddhist School’s Method, and although Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s Cultivation Level was higher than his, having already reached the Bodhisattva Realm,

this Realm was comparable to a Golden Immortal.

If it were anyone else, they would long since have been trapped by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

But Long Fei knew the flaws within these Laws; with each sword, he could always strike at the weakest point.

One attacking and one defending, the two fought until the Void within was trembling, and all around them had become an open wasteland.

The Yin Souls were continuously devoured by the Twelve Witch Gods; in terror they retreated hastily, no longer daring to gather near them.

Seeing this, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva finally raised a hand and brought out his Magical Weapon.

With a jingle-jangle, it was a golden Tin Staff.

This item was engraved with silver flowers, had two wheels and four prongs, with twelve rings hanging from it. It was a Magical Weapon refined by the Patriarch Buddha of the Western World.

The aura of a Saint flashed with a hum.

With just a single strand of golden light, Long Fei was blasted backward.

Long Fei revealed his Witch Race Body; his frame swelled, over ten meters tall, black hair hanging to his shoulders, divine light in his eyes.

He laughed harshly as he raised his sword. "A begging tool of the Buddhist Sect—what’s the use of bringing it out?"

In this form he was completely different from the usual Long Fei, bearing the arrogant air of the Witch God Clan.

The longsword flew up, a single stroke cleaving open the Tin Staff’s golden light, hacking fiercely toward Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

The Saintly Path Weapon and his fleshly body engaged in close combat.

The longsword shuddered, the Tin Staff hummed, twisting the surrounding Void into distortion as a gray belt of space rolled up around the two.

The Tin Staff was originally used by the Buddhist Sect when going out to ask for alms; inconvenient to knock on doors for fear of disturbing people, they would shake the copper rings to let the household know.

Long Fei calling it a begging tool truly left Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva quite displeased and roused his wrath.

The Killing Aura on his body suddenly surged sharply.

Heaven and earth hummed, unable to settle for quite some time.

Their battle blasted through eighteen small worlds in succession, from the very top down to the very bottom.

This was how the world looked at the beginning of the universe, in the earliest state between heaven and earth.

Eighteen spaces, representing eighteen dimensions.

After repeated great wars, these eighteen dimensions were hammered into a Three-Dimensional Space.

At the place where the two realms alternate, these eighteen dimensional spaces were preserved, becoming the legendary Eighteen Layers of Hell.

The gravity here was the greatest, thus so many Yin Spirits could gather, even forming a Netherworld Sea outside.

The energy that disappeared from the Yang Realm all manifested here.

Back when the Six Paths of Reincarnation still existed, the Yin Spirits here could enter the Netherworld, cultivate into Yin Gods, and even reincarnate.

But now the Six Paths of Reincarnation are destroyed and the Yin Yang road is broken.

Most Yin Spirits coming from the Yang Realm can only sink here, unable to escape.

The Ten Yama Kings have ferried many, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has ferried many, but for this place it is only a drop in the ocean.

From the first layer of the world, Long Fei and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva fought down to the eighteenth, their comprehension of this place deepening by another level.

He bore Witch God Bloodline, and was moreover connected with the Hou Tu Flag Spirit.

The fog before his eyes gradually dispersed, and the scene of Empress Hou Tu using her body to achieve Integration rose before him—the resolve and grandeur of that compassion for all under heaven.
