In the defense hall of Sky City, the Guard Captain reported the situation to the City Lord.
The Deputy City Lord, the real power behind the guards, Jin Mingzu, has attacked Alida.
They have taken over most of the southern city, and it’s said they have the support of the Celestial Venerable.
Half of the city’s Guard Squad is now under Jin Mingzu’s command.
City Lord Walton’s face was tense as he sighed at the Guard Captain and said, "What does Jin Mingzu want? Haven’t I given him enough power over the years? Does he want everything of mine?"
Guard Captain Morson frankly said, "Jin Mingzu claims to be a descendant of a previous civilization, and he was never truly on our side. He sees himself as the master here, while we are merely later wanderers."
Walton slammed his fist on the table and said, "Does he think I can’t handle him just because he has someone backing him? As long as I, the City Lord, make a move, the entire city will be destroyed. If he wants to cause trouble, then I shall perish with him."
Morson, with an iron-like expression, said, "I will always be loyal to the City Lord, no matter what you do, I will support you. However, I think we may have other methods."
Walton raised an eyebrow and asked, "What method?"
Morson brought up a video, showing Long Fei and his group breaking into Sky City, annihilating all the guard mechanical people in an underground tunnel with a single finger.
Walton frowned as he watched, asking, "Have you investigated this person thoroughly?"
Morson replied, "I had my people reconstruct this from a surveillance mechanical people’s data. This intruder should be one of those ancient cultivators. His mana is strong, far surpassing our technological civilization. If we can enlist his help, we might be able to counter Jin Mingzu."
Walton said deeply, "Will he help us? Could he be an accomplice of Jin Mingzu?"
Morson said, "I have already had people investigate, this man and the woman behind him are the notorious ’Malevolent Duo’ we’ve been searching for. Their target is the Divine Court and has no relation to Jin Mingzu. Moreover, reliable intelligence suggests that Miss has already established a good relationship with them and went to meet them at the spaceship hotel today."

Just as he was about to hand the matter over to the Guard Captain, someone outside relayed a message saying that someone was here to see him who claimed to be able to help him.
He and Morson exchanged a glance and opened the external surveillance system.
Both of them were stunned when they saw the screen.
The people were none other than Long Fei and Wang Xiaoya, who surprisingly came of their own accord.
For safety, Walton had Guard Captain Morson personally oversee outside operations.
If anything went wrong, they would immediately kill the two.
After making all the arrangements, he had Long Fei and Wang Xiaoya brought into his office.
This place was a sphere structure, with a domed ceiling inlaid with lights, a hundred meters high, and surrounded by huge glass structures.
The view was expansive, and the lighting was excellent.
When Long Fei and Wang Xiaoya came in, Walton stood up with a smile and politely said, "What can I do for you two?"
Long Fei smiled faintly, "Didn’t the City Lord just discuss it with the Guard Captain?"
Walton was surprised and said, "You can hear what we’re saying? How is that possible, I have the most advanced soundproof barriers installed here."

Walton looked at him and said, "I presume you won’t help us for free?"

Walton actually felt somewhat relieved and asked, "What do you want? Power or money?"
Long Fei said, "I don’t lack those. I merely want access to the main server to look up some information. For you, it should be an easy task."
Walton’s heart sank, and he glared, "The main server is the brain of this city. If you gain access, you’ll know all about the Defense System. How can I restrain you then?"
Long Fei laughed, "City Lord, frankly speaking, your Defense System is like paper in my eyes. I merely wish to trace the remnants of the legendary civilization."
"You’re after that?"

Long Fei said calmly, "That’s my concern. If this matter is fake, we will leave here soon. If it’s true, you’ll gain a huge fortune from it. You and your people can join us in what you call the Divine Realm. Each of you will receive a great gift."
Walton shook his head, "No, you cannot risk the lives of millions in this city. I cannot tolerate such actions."

Long Fei raised his hand, and the huge display screen in front of him lit up.
It showed Deputy City Lord Jin Mingzu and his subordinates conspiring, planning to openly rebel tonight.
This was a live feed, indicating they had no idea they were being monitored.
Watching this, Walton cursed angrily, "These rebels, these schemers, will meet a bad end."
Long Fei closed the screen and reminded Walton, "You have three choices now: one is to be usurped by these people, the second is to destroy this city, and the third is to defeat them with my help. The lives of millions in this city are for you to decide."
Walton clenched his palms, unwilling to perish together unless it was absolutely necessary.

The City Lord’s camp was in the northern part of the city.

After Long Fei and Wang Xiaoya went out, they sat down at the entrance of the camp.
