"How do you have time to come today?"
Since tomorrow is the wedding, Xu Yisen should be quite busy today, so Qin Muni was a bit surprised to see him at the door.
"I’m afraid I may not have time later, so I’m sneaking out now to see you."
Qin Muni was facing away from him, entering the password on the lock. Upon hearing his answer, she teased, "You’re going to be looking at my face for the rest of your life, I think you should try to look at it less, or you might get aesthetically fatigued in the future."
Once the door unlocked, she turned the doorknob and walked inside.
Xu Yisen followed her in, closing the door behind him, and replied, "That’s going to be tough; this face is more addictive to me than anything."
Qin Muni changed her shoes at the entrance, staying put as she waited for Xu Yisen to switch to indoor slippers too before raising her chin to look at him.
A faintly mischievous smile played on her lips, and she teased, "How addictive?"
Xu Yisen extended his slender index finger to lift Qin Muni’s chin, slightly tilted his head to stare at her captivating eyes, and curled his lips in response, "Especially addictive."
As his words fell, he leaned in to kiss Qin Muni’s rosy lips.
His kiss was full of tender affection, unwilling to hide his desire for Qin Muni, just ambiguously enticing her.
Xu Yisen carried Qin Muni back to the room, which was already filled with a newlywed atmosphere, with the bedding changed to red.
Xu Yisen gently laid Qin Muni down on the bed and reached out to remove her clothes.
Her fair skin seemed even more striking against the red quilt.
Xu Yisen’s visit completely disrupted Qin Muni’s plans for the day; she didn’t even acknowledge Xu Yisen’s farewell, just closed her eyes and fell asleep.
However, she didn’t sleep long, waking up two hours later as midday arrived and the phone on her bedside table suddenly rang.
Qin Muni glanced at the caller ID and remembered she was supposed to have lunch with Zhang Luxin and Shao Chuyan.
"Hello."
Upon answering, Shao Chuyan’s anxious voice came through, "Oh my, I kept calling your cell, but couldn’t get through. I thought something happened to you."
Her worry amused Qin Muni, "What could possibly happen to me?"
"I was worried you might have cold feet and run away from the wedding or something."
Shao Chuyan’s casual comment was taken seriously by Qin Muni, who replied in a surprisingly serious tone, "You know, that’s actually a good idea."
Shao Chuyan was momentarily stunned, clearly taken aback by her sudden seriousness, and quickly advised, "Don’t do anything crazy. If Xu Yisen finds out, he’ll come after me, and I’m a pregnant woman who can’t handle shocks."
Qin Muni finally couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing, "I’m just messing with you."
