Chapter 316: Good Girl. Cum. Now. Holy SHIT.

Marking venom healed, which was useful. It knocked her out every damn time, which was a minor inconvenience. But it also stole hours from her memory, and that part she never got used to.

She woke up in Dex’s arms with no idea how she got there, standard, and her mind in a fog.

She turned her head.

Dex was dead asleep. His arm was locked across her waist, his face pressed into the back of her shoulder, breathing the deep, heavy rhythm of a man who had been running on adrenaline for hours and had crashed the moment his body decided it was safe to stop. He looked younger when he slept, the sharp edges of him softened into something closer to the boy he must have been before crowns and wars made him into this.

She shifted. One small movement, adjusting her weight, barely a sound.

His eyes opened.

The transition from unconscious to alert was instantaneous, zero to combat-ready in the space between one heartbeat and the next, and before her brain registered that he was awake, he was above her. Both hands on either side of her head, chest pressed to hers, mouth on her forehead, then her cheek, then her mouth, kissing her like he needed to confirm she was real.

"Are you okay?" His voice was rough from sleep and raw from everything that had come before it. "Tell me you’re okay."

"I’m fine." She caught his face between her hands and held it above hers. "Dex. I’m fine. Stop worrying."

"That’s a ridiculous request and I’m ignoring it."

His forehead dropped to hers.

"How did I get here?" she asked.

"I carried you."

"Dex."

"Later." He kissed her again. Slower this time. His hand slid from the mattress beside her head into her hair, fingers threading through the white strands at her temple, tilting her mouth under his. The urgency from seconds ago softened into something deliberate, something that had less to do with checking and more to do with wanting.

She kissed him back. Her hands moved from his jaw to the back of his neck, pulling him closer, and the sound he made against her mouth was low and involuntary and belonged to a man who had spent the last several hours terrified and was now converting all of it into the only language his body trusted.

"I need you," he said against her lips. The words carried no performance. No cocky edge, no practiced delivery. Raw. Stripped. The voice of Dexmon Drakenfell with every weapon laid down.

She answered by pulling him into her.

He undressed her slowly. His hands moved with a precision that was reverent and possessive in equal measure, peeling her training suit down her arms, over her hips, off her legs, each layer removed with the focused attention of a man memorizing the territory he was uncovering. His mouth followed his hands, pressing heat into her collarbone, the hollow of her throat, the space between her breasts where her heartbeat lived closest to the surface.

She trembled beneath him. Quiet. Still finding the edges of her own desire, still learning the geography of what her body wanted in the space between timid and certain. Her fingers traced his shoulders, his jaw, the line of muscle that ran from his neck to his chest, touching him the way she touched ancient texts, carefully, thoroughly, with the quiet reverence of a woman who understood the value of what was in her hands.

He pulled his own shirt over his head. Then his trousers. Then he was above her, skin against skin, and the heat of him pressed against her thigh made her breath catch in her throat.

"Look at me," he breathed.

She did. Green eyes, still damp at the lashes, finding gold.

He pushed into her.

Slow. Controlled. Every inch deliberate, the restraint visible in the cords of his neck, in the tremor of his arms, in the way his jaw locked as her body took him deeper. She gasped, her back arching off the mattress, fingers digging into his shoulders.

He held still inside her, letting her adjust, watching her face.

"Dex." His name left her on a breath that carried everything the day had cost her.

He moved.

Deep, rolling strokes that dragged against every nerve she had. His hand fisted in the pillow beside her head, his forearm braced, holding his weight above her while his hips set a rhythm that was unhurried and devastating.

Every thrust pressed him against the place inside her that made her vision blur, and every withdrawal left her chasing him, her hips lifting to meet his before he pushed back in.

His mouth found her neck. Her mark. He pressed his lips against it and felt her entire body shudder beneath him.

"Mine," he said against her skin. The word vibrated through the mark and into her bloodstream, and the matebond amplified it until she could feel the shape of it in her chest, in her lungs, in the pulse hammering between her thighs.

Her legs wrapped around his waist. He groaned, his pace breaking for one ragged second before he caught it and drove deeper.

"You feel so fucking good, baby." His voice was wrecked.

She made a sound. Small. Broken. The sound she made when pleasure crossed the threshold from bearable to blinding, and the sound undid whatever remained of his restraint.

His pace shifted. Harder. His hand left the pillow and found her hip, gripping, angling her beneath him, pinning her exactly where he wanted her. His thrusts were no longer rolling. They were claiming, each one punctuated by a sound from his chest that was half grunt, half prayer.

She clung to him. Her fingers in his hair, her heels locked against the small of his back, pulling him closer, pulling him deeper, and the pressure building inside her was enormous, tidal, gathering height in a way that made her thighs tremble and her breath come in fragments.

"Dex, I’m going to..."

"Good girl. Cum on my cock, baby. Now."

The climax built through her in a slow, grinding wave, and the matebond carried every degree of it into Dex. He felt it the way he felt his own heartbeat, immediate and inescapable, and his rhythm stuttered as her pleasure slammed into his nervous system and compounded with his own.

Then it happened.

Both of them moved at the same time. The same instinct. The same ancient, irresistible pull that bypassed thought and operated on a frequency older than language. His mouth found her mark at the exact moment hers found his, and their fangs punched through simultaneously, venom flooding both directions at once, two wolves marking each other in the same breath.

Gold light erupted from both of their bodies.

The room went white. The fire in the hearth surged and died and surged again. The gold pulsed from every point of contact between them, from the marks on their necks, from the places where their skin met, cascading outward in waves that made the bedframe groan and the windows rattle in their casings.

The climax extended. It became something that had no ceiling, pleasure and venom and gold light feeding into each other in a loop that tightened and tightened until neither of them could tell where one body ended and the other began.

Dex’s eyes rolled. His body locked above hers, every muscle rigid, his bite still locked, venom still flowing, gold still pouring from his skin. The sound he made was guttural and shattered and belonged to a man who had lost control of everything and found something sacred in the wreckage.

Serena’s vision went white, then gold, then gone. Her body arched into his one final time, trembling, wrung out, still pulsing around him, and the last thing she registered before consciousness left was the feel of his heartbeat against her chest, matching hers, identical, one rhythm in two bodies.

They fell together, consciousness leaving them in the same breath.

The gold lingered on their skin for several minutes, dimming by degrees, a warmth that held them the way sunlight holds the ground after sunset. Their marks pulsed in tandem, synchronized, sealed, the venom from both bites threading through each other’s blood in a circuit that was no longer two separate connections and was becoming something else entirely.

Outside the window, the moon rose over Drakenfell. Inside the chambers, two wolves lay tangled in each other, glowing faintly, breathing in perfect sync, and the fire burned steady, and the silence held, and the world turned without them for a while.

Somewhere in Dex’s mind, Aegon stirred once.

Then he went quiet, and the quiet was the most peaceful sound the wolf had made in a few thousand years.
