Chapter 203: The End

Aurora’s POV

MONTHS LATER!!!

The city lights shone brightly through the large window of our private pack hospital room.

I leaned back against the raised bed, one of my hands gripping the metal railing for support, the other clutching Oliver’s hand with everything I had. The contractions had started hours ago, each one hitting harder and closer together, making my entire body shake with the massive effort.

Oliver sat right beside me, his dark eyes locked onto mine, his handsome face filled with a mix of deep worry and pure love.

"You’re doing amazing, love," he whispered, his large thumb brushing gently over the back of my hand. "Just a little longer, Aurora. I’m right here."

I let out a shaky, ragged breath, trying my absolute best to focus entirely on his deep voice instead of the crushing pressure building in my lower belly. My hospital gown clung to my damp skin from sweat, and the room felt far too bright, but Oliver’s presence kept me grounded.

"Hold on, Aurora," my wolf whimpered softly in my mind, trying to give me her own strength. "Our pups are strong. We can do this."

"I’m not sure I can do this, Oliver," I admitted through gritted teeth, my voice breaking as another massive wave of pain surged through my body.

"Yes, you can," Oliver said firmly, leaning in closer so his breath fanned over my cheek.

His tone was gentle but completely commanding—the voice of my Alpha, my husband, and my partner in everything. "You’ve never backed down from anything, Aurora, and you won’t start now. Our babies are almost here."

Babies. The thought of finally meeting them kept me fighting through the pain, even when it felt like my body was being pulled apart.

I had been completely shocked and terrified when the pack doctor first announced that I was pregnant with twins. Part of me had wanted them out as soon as possible so I could finally hold them safely in my arms, but the actual reality of delivering them was terrifying.

The door opened quietly, and Dr. Bennett, the head obstetrician who had been with us through every single step of this pregnancy, entered the room with a calm, reassuring smile.

"Luna, you’re progressing beautifully. It won’t be long now."

The pack nurses and healers moved efficiently around the room, adjusting the monitors and preparing the delivery equipment, but I barely registered them. My entire world had narrowed down to the sound of Oliver’s voice and the overwhelming waves of pain rolling through me.

"Let’s try breathing through the next one together, okay?" Oliver asked softly, leaning down to rest his forehead against mine.

His scent and his warmth were my ultimate lifeline, keeping me from losing control.

I gave a weak nod, following his lead as he inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. It helped, easing the sharp edge of the pain just a little bit.

When the next contraction hit, I couldn’t stop the loud cry that escaped my throat. I squeezed his hand so tightly I was certain I was cutting off his circulation completely, but Oliver didn’t flinch or pull away for a single second. He just held on, using his free hand to gently push my sweat-soaked hair away from my face.

"You’re the strongest person I know," he murmured, his voice steady and full of pride. "You’ve got this, my beautiful Luna. You’ve got this."

Time completely blurred after that. I lost track of how many contractions came and went, how many times Oliver reminded me to breathe, and how often the nurses stepped in to check on me. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Dr. Bennett checked my progress and gave a firm, satisfied nod.

"It’s time, Luna. Are you ready to meet your babies?"

My heart raced furiously, a wild mixture of fear, intense excitement, and pure exhaustion coursing through my veins. I nodded weakly, my fingers gripping Oliver’s hand for dear life.

"You’re ready," Oliver said, his deep voice thick with emotion but completely sure. "I’m right here with you. We’re doing this together."

The nurses carefully positioned my legs, and Dr. Bennett took her place at the foot of the bed. "Okay, Aurora. When the next contraction comes, I need you to give me a big push."

The contraction came fast and fierce. I gripped the handles of the bed and pushed with every single ounce of strength I had left in my body, letting out a loud, guttural cry as I bore down.

"That’s it! Perfect! You’re doing amazing!" Dr. Bennett encouraged loudly.

"You’re incredible, love," Oliver whispered right by my ear, his own voice trembling with raw emotion.

It felt like it took forever, but suddenly, the most beautiful sound in the world filled the room—a sharp, loud cry that made my heart instantly swell.

Dr. Bennett laughed softly as she carefully lifted the tiny baby into the air.

"Congratulations, Alpha and Luna," she said warmly. "Meet your son."

Hot tears streamed freely down my face as the nurses quickly wiped him down and placed him directly onto my bare chest. His skin was pink, his tiny fists were waving wildly in the air, and his cries were strong and healthy.

"Hi, baby," I whispered, my voice cracking completely as I looked at him.

Oliver leaned in close, his large hand trembling as he rested it gently on our son’s tiny, warm back. "He’s perfect, Aurora," he said, his voice thick and rough with unshed tears. "He looks just like you."

But we weren’t done yet.

Dr. Bennett glanced up at me with a gentle, encouraging smile. "The second baby is right behind him and ready. One more big push, Aurora. You can do it."

I nodded, my exhausted body shaking all over, but I was completely determined. With Oliver’s hand locked firmly in mine and his deep voice guiding me through the pain, I pushed again, summoning every last bit of energy I had left.

A second later, another sharp cry filled the room, this one a bit softer but just as beautiful as the first.

"And here’s your beautiful little princess."

She looked between Oliver and me with obvious happiness.

"I’ve been honored to walk this journey with both of you. They are absolutely healthy."

When they placed her on my chest right beside her twin brother, I couldn’t hold back the happy sobs. She was a little smaller, more delicate, but absolutely perfect. Her tiny eyes blinked up toward me in the bright light, and an overwhelming wave of pure, fierce maternal love crashed completely over me.

"They’re here," I whispered, looking up at Oliver through my blurred vision. "Our babies are finally here."

Oliver leaned down and pressed a long, lingering kiss to my wet forehead, his own tears finally spilling over and mingling with mine. "You’re incredible, Aurora. I am so unbelievably proud of you. Look at them... they’re absolutely perfect."

A little while later, the room had quieted down. The nurses had finished cleaning and weighing the twins, and the door opened quietly to let our small family in.

James walked into the room first. He wasn’t in his wheelchair anymore—he was standing completely on his own two feet, walking smoothly and fully healed, thanks to the pack’s best healers and Oliver’s endless support over the past few months. His face was lit up with a brilliant, healthy smile, and his hazel eyes sparkled with pure joy as he looked at me and the two bundles in my arms. Clara followed right behind him, her hands clasped over her heart, crying happy tears alongside Oliver’s mother, Lady Hailee, and Alpha Knox, who stood by the door with a proud smirk.

"Look at you, Liv," James whispered, coming over to the side of the bed and leaning down to gently squeeze my shoulder. "You’re a mom. They are beautiful."

"Come meet your niece and nephew," I smiled, my heart bursting as James carefully looked down at the two tiny faces.

Oliver stayed glued to my side, never letting go of my hand. He helped me support the babies, his large, powerful hands cradling their tiny, fragile forms with a gentleness that completely took my breath away.

"What should we name them, my Luna?" Oliver asked softly, his eyes shining with pure devotion as he gazed down at our children.

I looked down at our son, his little face so incredibly peaceful now that he had nestled against my skin. "Elias," I said softly, choosing a strong name fit for a future leader.

"And her?" Oliver asked, his gaze shifting tenderly to our beautiful daughter.

"Isla," I replied, the name coming to my lips as naturally as if it had always belonged to her.

"Elias and Isla," Oliver repeated, a brilliant, breathtaking smile breaking across his handsome face. "It’s absolutely perfect."

We sat there together in the quiet hospital room as our family members shared quiet congratulations before giving us our space. Outside, the world continued to move, but inside this room, time seemed to stand completely still. Our family was finally complete.

Oliver wrapped his strong arms securely around me and our babies, pressing a soft kiss to the top of my head.

"You’ve given me everything I’ve ever wanted in this life, Aurora," he said, his rough voice raw with deep emotion. "You’ve made me the happiest man alive."

"And you’ve given me a real home," I replied softly, leaning my head back against his solid chest, feeling the steady, calming beat of his heart. "A real family. Everything I never thought a latent girl like me could ever have. You gave me a future, Oliver."

I looked down at Elias and Isla sleeping peacefully against our chests. Their tiny fingers curled instinctively around ours, as though they already knew they would never have to face this world alone.

For so many years, I had believed I was destined to remain unwanted—a latent girl with no place to truly belong.

I had been wrong.

I had found my mate.

I had found my family.

I had found my home.

Oliver wrapped one arm around me while the other rested protectively over our twins. His heartbeat echoed steadily beneath my cheek, and my wolf purred with complete contentment.

For the first time in my life, there was no fear.

No loneliness.

No pain.

Only love.

And as I relaxed in his arms, I realized that this wasn’t the end of our story.

It was the beginning of the happiest Chapter of our lives.
