Chapter 78: The Group chat

Walking back to the dorm room, Klein had a slight frown on his face ’I revealed too much in that duel today.’

’At first, I only planned to defeat Ji Shenyi using basic mana reinforcement and spear techniques, keeping everything within a reasonable limit so it wouldn’t draw unnecessary attention.’

A quiet exhale left his lips as his gaze lowered slightly.

’But I lost control of my temper... and used Spear Intent.’

That alone was already enough to shake the academy.

A first-year displaying Spear Intent was not something that could be ignored or dismissed, no matter how much people tried to rationalize it.

But that wasn’t the real problem ’And to defeat Shui Yinran... I even used Spear Body Unity.’

’Now this will attract unwanted attention... The military and the noble families will notice, especially the Duke families won’t stay silent after this.’

’And the major guilds will definitely try to get their hands on me.’

Invitations and recruitment attempts.

And if he refused...

’They might try to get rid of me before I grow any further. "Nipping the bud before it grows into a tree"... Same old bullshit.’

His expression shifted slightly, ’More importantly... that fight was recorded.’

An event like that wouldn’t stay contained within the academy.

It would spread everywhere and that means...

’Arwen and Cynthia. I’m going to have to explain this...’

That problem, somehow, felt more troublesome than the military, the nobles, or even assassins.

He ran a hand through his hair, letting out a long breath as he resumed walking.

"...Haah."

---

A woman in sleek black clothes entered the dimly lit room and kneeled respectfully in front of the white-haired woman sitting behind the desk.

"Lady Yuliya... I wasn’t able to find someone like that," the kneeling woman said with her head bowed low.

The white-haired woman, Yuliya, glanced at the kneeling woman and clicked her tongue in irritation.

"It was a simple task to find one young man from the Grayhaven Academy and you can’t even find him, even after giving his name?" she uttered in a cold voice.

The kneeling woman lowered her head further, her voice trembling slightly.

"I can’t find anyone with the name Irakiel, Lady Yuliya."

"But I found someone else... a prodigy. We should try recruiting him into our guild."

Yuliya’s gaze narrowed, "I don’t care about those petty geniuses or prodigies. Find me this man."

The woman hesitated for a moment before speaking again.

"Lady Yuliya... please consider this. At least look at the video where he fights. He fought against Shui Yinran and defeated her in a pure spear duel."

"Spear?" Yuliya’s gaze condensed as she remembered a certain youngman.

With a soft breath, she spoke "Well, show me the footage."

The kneeling woman quickly took her mobile and showed her the footage.

As the footage started, Yuliya’s eyes widened in shock, looking at the young man.

"Irakiel?"

Sitting within the Spirit Realm, Klein leaned back slightly against the soft grass as the faint glow of spiritual energy drifted through the air around him like fireflies, creating a quiet atmosphere.

Beside him, Elfaria sat with her legs folded to one side, her silver hair gently swaying with the subtle currents of spirit energy as she listened to Klein’s words.

Klein exhaled softly as he finished recounting the duel, "...So yeah, that’s how it ended."

Elfaria’s gaze narrowed "You used Spear Body Unity, too? You should be careful then."

Not far from them, Gale spirit darted playfully through the air as it chased after a fox-like spirit as the two of them ran around each other in a carefree game, occasionally colliding before separating again in a burst of light and wind.

Klein reached into his ring and pulled out a folded sheet of paper and handed it over to Elfaria "Try to gather the materials listed here for the body refining technique."

"I’ll handle my side as well."

Elfaria took the paper from his hand and looked at the ingredients.

"...Mhm," she nodded, folding the paper carefully.

Without saying anything further, Elfaria shifted slightly and lay down beside him on the grass as she turned her head just enough to glance at him.

Klein wrapped his arm around her, pulling her a little closer and she leaned into him slightly, her body fitting comfortably against him as her eyes slowly softened.

"Let’s just sleep here today."

---

Lying on her bed in the dorm room, Liora kicked her legs lazily in the air with a wide grin spread across her face as the glow of her mobile screen reflected in her eyes.

"I just started it for fun..." she muttered under her breath as her thumb continued to swipe through the flood of messages.

"Didn’t expect this many people to join."

Her gaze shifted to the top of the screen again, staying on the group name with clear satisfaction.

Klein Fan Club.

What began as a random idea, something she created on impulse right after the duel, has now exploded into something much bigger than she anticipated.

The member count is climbing rapidly with each passing minute as more and more students poured in.

"...This is insane," she whispered, though the grin on her face only widened.

The chat was absolute chaos.

Messages were flooding in nonstop, overlapping so quickly that it was almost impossible to read everything, but that didn’t stop her from trying as she scrolled through them with clear enjoyment.

"DID YOU SEE THAT FINAL ATTACK???"

"BRO HE DESTROYED THE BARRIER LIKE IT WAS PAPER!"

"IS HE EVEN HUMAN???"

"THAT WHITE AURA THING- WHAT WAS THAT?!"

"STEP ON ME KLEIN 😭"

"KLEIN OPPA!"

Liora burst out laughing at that one, nearly dropping her phone as she rolled onto her side, clutching her stomach slightly.

"These people are insane..."

Scrolling further down, she opened one of the uploaded videos, the footage replaying Klein’s fight from a different angle.

She scrolled again, this time pausing on a series of images taken mid-battle, capturing different moments of him in motion.

Some were edited.

Some had effects added.

Some were... questionable.

"...Okay, who edited flames around him like that?" she snorted, shaking her head as she kept going.

As she scrolled through, she saw a message pop up in the chat.

"As soon as the duel ended, I wanted to draw him... so here is a quick sketch."

Liora raised a brow, slightly curious, and tapped to expand the image.

She expected something cool or maybe a dramatic pose.

But as the image loaded, her eyes widened.

"...What the-"

The "fanart" showed Klein stepping out of a shower, water dripping down his body, completely... naked.

For a full second, her brain stopped processing.

"WTF?!"

She shot upright on the bed, nearly flinging her phone across the room as her face turned bright red, her heart pounding from the sheer shock of what she had just seen.

"WHAT IS THIS?!"

Her voice echoed loudly in the dorm as she stared at the screen in disbelief.

"WHY WOULD YOU DRAW THAT?!" she yelled at absolutely no one, her fingers aggressively scrolling past the image as if trying to erase it from existence.

But it didn’t end there.

The chat below was even worse.

"DAMN 👀"

"ARTIST COOKED"

"DROP FULL VERSION"

"HE LOOKS EVEN BETTER LIKE THIS 😭"

Liora’s eye twitched.

"...These people-"

She buried her face into her pillow for a second, letting out a muffled groan before snapping back up, grabbing her phone again with a determined expression.

"Nope. Nope. This is getting out of hand."

Her fingers moved rapidly across the screen.

"Admin privileges exist for a reason."

Tap.

Message deleted.

Tap.

User warned.

"...One more like that and I’m banning all of you."

She muttered under her breath, though her face was still slightly red as she tried to regain her composure.

"...Fan club my ass," she grumbled, flopping back onto the bed.

"...These idiots are down bad."

But the chat didn’t slow down.

If anything, it got worse.

Messages flooded in faster than before, stacking on top of each other so quickly that the screen almost blurred as she tried to keep up.

"WOAH, ADMIN DELETED THAT??"

"CENSORSHIP!!!"

"Justice for the artist 😭"

"Admin scary."

"Mod abuse."

"1984"

"Okay but hear me out-"

Liora’s eye twitched.

Then came the message that made her sit up again.

"Maybe we should create a separate section for fan arts and... NSFW arts."

Her expression slowly went blank.

"...Excuse me?"

"YEAH GOOD IDEA"

"+1"

"KEEP MAIN CHAT CLEAN, MOVE ’THAT’ STUFF ELSEWHERE"

"I volunteer to manage it 💀"

"BRO???"

Liora slowly sat up, her grip tightening around her phone as her earlier embarrassment faded into pure disbelief.

"These people have zero shame..."

She scrolled through the replies, watching as the suggestion somehow gained traction within seconds, people already discussing names for the "section" like it was a completely normal thing.

"Klein Art Hub?"

"Klein After Dark 💀"

"NAH THAT NAME IS CRAZY."

"...I’m going to lose my mind."
