Chapter 472: Chapter 472: Episode 066 It’s Good to Be Alive (1)

The conversation between Flossie Wright and Becca Reyes didn’t last long. After all, her viewpoint was straightforward and clear, leaving no room for negotiation or hesitation. Becca knew that no matter how much she tried to persuade her, it would be to no avail. Since she couldn’t beat her, she succumbed and agreed to run the errand for her.

After promising Flossie, Becca left without any formalities or goodbyes to Janice Wood in the sickroom. At the same time, Flossie didn’t linger in the corridor and turned to go to Janice’s sickroom.

When she arrived in the sickroom, there was an extra nurse who was changing Janice’s medicine.

"Is it you?"

Hearing someone coming, the nurse who had just finished changing the medicine bottles looked up subconsciously. When she got a clear look at Flossie standing at the door, she hesitated and instinctively uttered those words.

At the same time, Flossie also recognized her.

Mia Lawson.

Her gaze swept over Mia but Flossie showed no intention of acknowledging her. After entering the room, she went directly towards the dinner set aside.

The dinner for Janice was congee and chicken soup, specially made by Leader Lin, as a special consideration for the patient.

Receiving no response from Flossie, Mia’s face immediately darkened. She watched Flossie silently. As if she was truly invisible to her, Mia felt a surge of frustration rise within her. Her hand hidden in her sleeve clenched tightly before she finally left with the anger consuming her.

From start to end, Flossie didn’t give her a second glance.

As soon as she stepped outside, Mia couldn’t wait to make a call to Neal Thompson.

"Mia, what’s happened?"

Neal happened to be free and answered the phone quickly. However, seeing the caller ID, she already had a rough idea about what had happened.

She had no prior knowledge about Flossie’s return, not to mention what Mia could have said. She knew that Mia was now in charge of caring for Janice, and since she was calling now, she must have encountered Flossie at the hospital.

Mia pressed her lips together, glanced instinctively at Janice’s sickroom, and started whispering like a thief, "You know, I want to ask about Flossie."

Mia learned about Flossie’s circumstances in the cooking class through Neal. Given her arrogance, she should have given up pursuing Glenn Hutchinson after seeing him with Flossie, to save herself from losing face and dignity.

However, Mia, despite trying many ways, just could not bring herself to give up on Glenn.

Especially when Neal told her a few days ago that Flossie and Rowdy Brightwill had taken leave together to go home, some even suggested to meet their parents, the situation seemed to have taken a turn for the better. The flame that had just been extinguished renewed with an intense burn, making her resolute in pursuing Glenn.

But one thing she never fathomed was when she later inquired about Glenn’s whereabouts, she was informed that he had left the Forces a day earlier. The specific details were unknown to anyone.

His whereabouts had always been a mystery and his reason for being here was merely to train the new soldiers. Naturally, he would have other tasks to attend to at his own camp, so his departure was a common occurrence.

Still, some said that he seemed to have gone on leave.

The more Mia pried, the more restless she became. Now that she had run into Flossie once again, naturally, she couldn’t wait to call Neal to inquire about Flossie, hoping she had no connection whatsoever with Glenn.

"Well..." Neal gave a worried look upon thinking about this and hesitated.
