"What are you doing?"

In the slightly chilly night, the voice carried a cold undertone, deep and powerful, like a harsh wind blowing directly at them, making their hearts tremble involuntarily.

The sudden beam of light blinded them temporarily, but the sound of that voice revealed who was standing there.

Without a doubt, it was Glenn Hutchinson who had just come down from the stairs.

He was the one who suggested that Flossie Wright and Becca Reyes should join the new recruits training. He had told the Sergeant that he saw potential in them, but the real reason was only clear to him. In fact, maybe even he was not entirely sure.

Yesterday, when he was lurking outside the window, he heard Flossie Wright’s conversation with the soldier and saw her subtly hint at him under intense scrutiny.
