Chapter 1120: Chapter 1120: They Are Frogmen, Asking for More Votes (5)_1

...

Just before the 11 PM lights-out, Flossie Wright returned to the dormitory.

In two more days, they would be joining the 25-week sea training, which would undoubtedly be tough, so there was no need for extra practice tonight.

The lights in dormitory 307 were on.

She pushed the door open but saw only two people inside.

Belinda Nichols was reading a book, and Mariana Buck was drying her hair.

Jessie Grain was nowhere to be seen.

Both of them were busy. At the sound of the door opening, they glanced over. After a brief look at Flossie’s figure, they showed no particular reaction.

Belinda wasn’t much for words, and Mariana seldom spoke to her, so she was not surprised by their reactions.

Upon entering, Flossie tossed her bag on the desk and then took clothes to change into before heading straight to take a shower. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

When she came out, she was surprised to find two more people in the dormitory.

Jessie Grain, covered in filth, and Captain Ella Pemberton, smiling and inquiring about the situation.

As soon as Pemberton saw her come out, she stopped talking, gave a slight smile, and looked at Flossie, "You’re back?"

"Yeah,"

She nodded and walked over.

The captain was about to speak with a smile when she was interrupted by a cold voice from behind—

"Here."

With a crisp word, a white towel flew through the air, gliding past Pemberton’s ear and landing straight in Flossie’s hands.

Turning her body, Pemberton looked back and saw Belinda Nichols sitting in a chair with a book in her hands.

She was slightly startled.

After a brief moment, she remembered the name.

Belinda Nichols?

One of the standout female recruits in this batch.

It could be said that compared to the other three women in this dormitory, she was in no way inferior.

She stood out in every skill, never slacked, and never caused trouble—an extremely outstanding recruit.

Pemberton furrowed her brows, perplexed.

Why was such an excellent soldier receiving so little of her attention? She even spent more time watching Becca Reyes in the adjacent dormitory.

Maybe—

It was that cold demeanor that kept people at bay?

Pemberton thought and began to take a few extra notes.

After naturally taking the towel to dry her hair, Flossie waited for a while but heard nothing from Pemberton, so she raised her eyebrows and asked directly, "Captain, do you need something?"

"Yeah," Pemberton snapped back to her senses and, regaining her composure, looked at Flossie and asked, "I was wondering, did your parents agree?"

"They agreed," Flossie replied calmly.

She couldn’t help but think of the phone call from old Mr. Wright at the hospital. The brigadier and Pemberton had avoided all her faults, offering especially exaggerated praise, which softened her expression slightly.

Pemberton unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.

"That’s good," Pemberton said with a smile, "Since that’s settled, your sniper training will start tomorrow. How does that sound?"

"Good."

Flossie nodded naturally.

After being away for three days, she believed the sniper training had already begun.

She guessed Jessie Grain’s dirty appearance was probably from the training.

"Alright, prepare yourself mentally," Pemberton gave her a heads-up.

"Sure," Flossie said breezily, but she gradually stopped drying her hair, lowered her eyes slightly, and asked, "Is our sniper instructor you?"

"How did you know?"

Taken aback, Pemberton asked in surprise.
