Chapter 1272: Chapter 1272: Romance Scene?

Looking at the actor playing the Ninth Prince who was gazing at Yun Qiluo, and his Little Gua trying desperately but failing to appear shy.

Realizing something, Yan Yan’s face darkened.

The atmosphere instantly dropped along with his expression, and everyone on the set started feeling a sudden chill in the scorching summer night.

Especially the young actor playing the Ninth Prince, barely in his twenties, who couldn’t help but shiver.

Just then, the director called for a cut, and the two finally stopped.

Xue Fan looked puzzled at them, "Why does the performance seem worse than during the daytime? Luo Luo, it’s understandable, but Little Quan, what’s wrong with you?"

Why did even the Ninth Prince’s performance falter? Wasn’t this supposed to be an easy scene for him? Didn’t every young man have a secret crush on two girls at some point?

The Ninth Prince quickly apologized, "Sorry, maybe I’m not in the best state today."

The main reason was that the bigshot investor was watching closely, making him uneasy, who wouldn’t be afraid under such scrutiny? Yet he dared not speak up.

Xue Fan wasn’t bothered and told him to adjust himself since even if he had nailed that take, it wouldn’t pass.

"Luo Luo, how about you? You seem worse than the afternoon. Find your rhythm, and we will try again later."

Yun Qiluo nodded obediently, "Mm-mm."

Yan Yan stood up from his chair and walked towards them.

Xue Fan only then noticed that this bigshot seemed to have an unpleasant expression.

He felt a tinge of nervousness: "Mr. Yan, what’s wrong?"

In the crew, he called him Mr. Yan to avoid drawing too much attention, even though Yan Yan was already quite a noticeable presence.

Yan Yan lazily spoke, "Does she have a romantic scene?"

The tone didn’t reveal any change, yet Xue Fan inexplicably felt uneasy and instinctively nodded, "Mm, there is a bit..."

Possessing rich combat experience, Luo Luo quickly sensed it.

She tugged at his sleeve and whispered softly, "Beautiful woman, don’t be angry, it’s the requirement of the plot..."

Yan Yan raised his eyelids, "What did you tell me before coming here?"

"I won’t be acting in intimate scenes, none at all. Director Xue told me it’s mainly about eye contact, nothing else." Yun Qiluo tugged at him pitifully, acting coy, "I’m a minor role, how could I have so many romance scenes?"

Looking at her in that manner softened Yan Yan’s heart. He wasn’t actually angry, just displeased, very much so.

He turned his gaze to Xue Fan.

Xue Fan then fully realized the situation, his survival instincts kicking in as he replied, "Rest assured, there are no intimate scenes; physical contact is rare and won’t involve anything more. It’s mainly about the plot."

Nonetheless, Yan Yan reviewed the script later and trimmed some interaction scenes, making the nonexistent intimate scenes even scarcer.

Xue Fan thought Yun Qiluo was still a young girl; her appearance favored making people wanting to spoil her like a sister. Too many intimate scenes were inappropriate, and since she was a minor role, there were no arrangements—a hug was the most physical interaction, but after trimming, it only left the Ninth Prince wiping her tears, not even holding hands.

Xue Fan initially thought this might not work but found it decent as he looked at it. In this palace of scheming, pure love might be preferred by the audience.

Thus, the decision was settled.

Before shooting, Yun Qiluo snuck a glance at him, noticed he seemed less angry, and softly tugged at him, "Beautiful woman, could you stand behind the Ninth Prince when I’m filming later?"
