Chapter 56: Chapter 57
At Dark Seekers martial arts dogo a young handsome well toned boy of about sixteen could be seen standing under a heavy downpour punching a wooden log hung like a punching bag.
Although he seemed weary maybe due to constant tedious hitting of the log with his fist, he was running low on stamina and probably couldn’t keep that up for a long time.
Surrounding him was a large peaceful garden which served once as a training ground to quite a multitude of disciples, but due to the awakening of talents and skills it was now almost deserted with very few people that still believed in martial arts.
In this world magic didn’t always existing since the beginning of the earth but due to calamities that befell the planet every single creature that existed at a particular generation were forced to create a Mana or Ki core, but for our protagonist Zane Darwin he existed without a core and was constantly bullied for that.

It all started on the year 2240 AD, A shockwave engulfed earth, it was speculated that a mass of raw energy the size of the moon crashed in the middle of the Pacific ocean, after this while the occupants of earth were uncovering the mysterious shockwave, cataclysms broke out.
Rifts to other dimensions were opened and monsters of different sizes, spices and shapes came out of this rifts and destroyed 60% of the population, this was because the human weaponry at the time had no effect.
Another thing that came out of the rifts were other friendly humanoid species once thought to be unreal and a big fairy tale, they claimed that they belong to another dimension that existed but humans couldn’t see because they didn’t have a mana core and couldn’t process magic.
Also the planet was at an evolutionary process, more continents were formed and it quadrupled in size, the gravity of earth became distorted at a place it was very high at others it was very low, at most it was normal.
All the wild animals died suddenly and unknowingly, only the domestic ones remained, but suddenly a generation emerged with the ability to fight back but they were to little and untrained.
At first they were normal humans but at the age of ten they began awakening talents, abilities and skills and by that time 80% of humanity had been wiped out, but fortunately saviours came from the sky and redeemed human.
They were a benevolent alien race that survived a war from an all conquering malevolent alien race, they were called the Neonians.
The Neonians fought the monsters but couldn’t wipe them out because they seemed infinite, the talented humans grew older and stronger
The first generation of awakeners were said to be the strongest of all time as they reclaimed the earth from the clutches of the monsters and built empires, kingdoms and cities.
Military academies and magus schools appeared everywhere across the human empire, they were seven empires in total, the humans ruled two, Elves ruled one, Dwarves ruled another, Beastkins ruled another one and the last was ruled by a mixed race of other races except the elves, dwarves and beastkins.
These races dwelled in peace until the Night Eons appeared and caused chaos to spread throughout the world claiming to be purifying it and created an army of dark warriors who helped them conquer an entire continent and hold it as a base.
Slowly they spread like a disease eating away the life force of all that is good and humane transforming them into dangerous cataclysms, only those said to be chosen by the Gods could conquer and stop this monstrosities.
As long as Zane Darwin knew he always wanted to extinct this Eons for killing his mother and leaving him in the hands of his psychopathic father who casted him away for not having any magic affinity.
He came from the clan which held up to be the strongest magus swordsmen human clan in the world rivaled by no one and ruthless yet maniacal in nature, everyone in the clan was bred up with the ideology that they were above others and were demigods due to their talents.
Therefore when Zane was born the second child to the clan’s leader was born without an iota of mana within him he was casted away by the age of six when his mother the one who kept him in the clan till that time died in the hands of an Eon.
He wandered about starving and unwanted as anyone who ever tried to help him was killed by his father Avin Darwin, but a dojo owner saved his life as he was at the verge of death and took him away to another city where Zane grew up.
Today he had finished daily training and was off into the city without the consent to master Cesar, dressed in a casual outfit his hazel coloured hair with abysmal black ending tips and golden eyes glimmered under the now warm weather.
He walked into a weapon store to get a three section staff, it was one of his hobbies to master any weapon he could lay hands on, he had been practicing his swordsman skill since he was living with master Cesar and he almost had it to perfection.
Even though he didn’t have Ki to enhance him self he built and motivated himself to surpass human limitations and knew one day he would drop dead while trying to get accepted.
" Oy Cesar’s boy, don’t you come here searching for an impossible weapon to use, * TISK *, kids nowadays so full of themselves and arrogant " the store owner said, " Mr Linus, haven’t I told you I will die trying to become the strongest " Zane said flipping the three section staff, it hit a vase on a shelf nearly tipping over but he caught it.
" AAHH, my momma’s momento, I will kill you " the store owner said jumping out of the cashier’s check however Zane threw a small pouch of coins and absconded through the door.
He smiled happily to himself as he walked home to his master’s dojo which was at the outskirts of Reso City, he happened to spot a group of upperclassmen tugging and pulling a helpless boy of about his age into an alley.
Normally Zane would mind his business as he is one who is always quiet and introverted, still very anti social to people who he gained nothing from but since he was in a good mood today he wanted to help the poor boy.
" Beat him, Beat him, Beat the stupid pig " a boy yelled as he watched his fellow boys beat a little boy that rolled himself in a ball form.
Blood and bruises all over his body, they kept kicking him over and over again, suddenly he busted out laughing," all this exercise is helping me get stronger don’t you think " the boy said as he continued laughing.
The leader of the bullies walk up to him the others step aside then the leader bully grabbed him by the neck, then proceeded to raise him up.
As the boy’s feet left the room ground he heard, " You know what, you are going to do anything I say and I will stop making your life miserable " the leader of the bully said.
" Now you listen punk, am no dog and I shall not do your biding, you know you are as brainless as fuck and you can kill me if you want, I have nothing to do with my life anymore " The boy said.
" As you wish " the leader said and threw him on the ground, like hungry hyenas the other boys rushed at him punching and stomping on him.
" Edward go get the ropes and iron bats, I would like to hear snapping bones " The leader said, one of the boys left and came back a few minutes later with ropes and iron bats.
Zane just watched from the top of the building overshadowing the alley waiting to make a dramatic entrance then he recalled Master Sapen’s warning him never to fight in public due to his disastrous technique he refused to tell Zane about.
He began think whether he would go or not and decided not to, as he walked to opposite direction a high-pitched scream made him subconsciously run and jump off the edge giving him a thought if this was a good idea
