Chapter 675: Chapter 675: Unpalatable
Now still just a little first grader, already thinking about things after six o’clock, it’s indeed a bit early.
Candy Technology’s development direction has been set for so long.
When the time comes and the little one wants to stay at home and have something nice to eat every day, as her brother, how can he possibly say no?
Honestly, he never counted on Candy to have outstanding academic achievements.
Not to mention, the past two months with a little tag-along behind him every day, now that the tag-along has gone to school, Mo Jingchun actually finds it a bit hard to adapt.
Since he arrived early, there wasn’t a single employee in the entire office building besides the security personnel.
Looking at the tightly closed office door that’s heating up, Mo Jingchun raised his wrist and said, "Zero, open the door."
The next second, two doors opened in response, all the lights and the central air conditioning in the office started to operate.
On the other side, for the first time Candy experienced the wildness of the school bus driver. After leaving the tech park, the school bus hadn’t stopped once, and Candy was surprised to find that other vehicles seemed to intentionally avoid the two school buses they rode on.
Everyone was going to school this far away for the first time, after jumping off the school bus, Candy and Xiang’Er held hands and walked toward the classroom from yesterday.
Walking on the playground, whenever Candy saw the older boys and girls who were taller than her, she would instinctively pull Xiang’Er to keep a bit of distance.
The unexpected part was, these older brothers and sisters seemed pretty gentle and caring, often flashing curious glances and smiles at Candy and Xiang’Er.
Around their necks, was that what kindergarten teachers called the red scarf? ლ(′◉❥◉`ლ)
"Xiang’Er, have you noticed? They all seem to have red scarves, and they all wear the same clothes, unlike us, looking like a ragtag army."
Beside her, Xiang’Er sighed lightly, a little helpless as she said, "You were daydreaming again yesterday, weren’t you?"
"No..." Candy replied guiltily, not even convincing herself.
The next moment, Xiang’Er stopped and gently pinched Candy’s nose with a smile, "Is that so?"
"But yesterday, the class teacher told us personally that the uniforms and red scarves would be given to us after school today, and there are two sets of uniforms."
Having been daydreaming and missed that bit, Candy scratched her head and asked suspiciously, "Why weren’t they given out yesterday?"
Xiang’Er shrugged, "That, I don’t know. Maybe you should ask the class teacher later."
Upon hearing ’class teacher,’ Candy shook her head like a rattle drum.
"Xiang’Er, didn’t you notice how serious the class teacher looks?"
"Not really."
Just then, Candy faintly sensed a tall figure looming behind her.
Candy turned around and saw, wow, such long legs.
Looking up, oops, it’s the class teacher. What bad luck, the whispers from just now were probably all heard by the class teacher.
Candy put on an awkward yet polite smile, "Good morning, class teacher."
"Hmm, good morning to both of you."
Seeing that the class teacher didn’t say more, Candy pulled Xiang’Er and dashed away.
Behind them, Qu Weijun’s corners of the mouth slightly raised, chuckled softly to himself, "As expected of Candy Technology’s darling, such a character from a young age."
"The first student to turn away and run without a word after seeing me smile is you."
"Mr. Qu, good morning, what makes you so happy?"
Looking at the math teacher from class three, Qu Weijun shrugged and said, "Just met two students from our class, quite amusing."
"Oh? Looks like those two students are in trouble then, catching your attention is not a good thing."
Qu Weijun touched his nose, smiling awkwardly. Was he really that strict in the eyes of other teachers and parents? He had no idea.
"My bad, my bad, guess I’ll just take good care of those two little ones."
In the classroom, as soon as Xiang’Er and Candy entered, they noticed quite a few students already there, sitting around the desks in small groups.
"Xiang’Er, where should we sit?"
Xiang’Er glanced around and pointed to the right, saying, "Let’s sit over there, the teacher will be rearranging our seats anyway."
----------------------------------
The class bell rang, and all the classrooms on the first floor were in chaos, the little ones had endless things to talk about.
Candy, who had already bonded with several classmates around her, was in the middle of boasting when Xiang’Er tugged at her sleeve.
"What’s up?"
The next moment, feeling the gaze of special attention, Candy abruptly closed her mouth.
However, the classroom was still in a mess, until a stern voice echoed from the doorway, and everyone fell silent.
Soon, Candy noticed the entire school had quieted down.
Qu Weijun stepped onto the podium, swept a glance across the 50 students in the class, and after a long pause, started speaking:
"From today, you are no longer the kids from kindergarten. Today’s first lesson is that when the class bell rings, you should keep the classroom quiet."
"Also from now on, you represent not just yourselves, but the honor of the entire class collective."
"..."
Throughout the entire first period, everyone listened silently as the class teacher spoke on the podium, especially Candy, who had been glanced at by the class teacher. She listened more attentively than ever, daydreaming? Not even a chance. The class teacher’s gaze was too intimidating, scarier than her angry brother.
Whenever her brother was angry, he would at most just scare her a little, even if he did hit, it wouldn’t hurt.
Look at that palm-wide plank on the podium, hitting with that would definitely hurt a lot.
On the first day of elementary school, no textbooks were taught by the teachers, only various rules and requirements, along with a little seat adjustment.
As for the election of class monitors mentioned by her brother, the class teacher didn’t bring it up at all, only appointing one student as the temporary class leader, responsible for calling the class to stand up and sit down at the beginning and end of lessons.
And the student chosen was... Xiang’Er.
Apparently, Xiang’Er was quite bewildered when she was chosen, unable to figure out why it was her.
Logically, even Candy seemed more suitable than her.
While eating the school’s canteen food, all the kids from Candy Technology started missing their kindergarten days, not to mention anything else, just the canteen food wasn’t tasty, flavorless, and lacking any trace of oil.
Wanting to add a chicken leg anytime you want? Dream on.
Chewing on the hard rice, Candy pouted, feeling a bit aggrieved. It was her first time eating something so unpalatable.
Taking a bite of the tasteless greens, Candy said fiercely, "No way, today I’m going home to complain to my brother and take over the school’s big canteen."
Not far behind Candy and Xiang’Er, several teachers from class one heard this and felt like spring was coming.
