Chapter 644: Chapter 644: "How Can You Sleep in Class?
"Really?" Zhou Yaling looked at her elder brother in surprise.
Mo Jingchun, who was lying exhausted on the sofa, waved his hand, "I don’t know if it’s fun, but it’s definitely tiring."
"But the banquet was great, just like the ones in our village."
Zhou Yaling was completely stunned, "What? A banquet?"
"Having a banquet for a kindergarten graduation?"
"Wow, if I had known, I would have gone too."
Hearing this, Mo Jingchun chuckled and said, "You want to eat at a banquet with a bunch of kids, are you sure?"
"A plate of watermelon, if Candy hadn’t been quick, I wouldn’t have gotten a piece."
"Hahaha, the way you put it makes me even more interested, too bad I missed it."
Mo Jingchun, wanting to take a nap, didn’t think so and directly said, "If you think so, just go and crash a meal at the same time next year. Can the kindergarten really refuse you at a banquet?"
While eating, Zhou Yaling rolled her eyes. Even though she was confident socially, she’d be too embarrassed to actually do it.
"Brother, Xiang’Er said she signed up for an art class over the summer."
After feeding the two pets, Candy sat directly on Mo Jingchun’s lap. Hmph, that’s what he gets for hogging the whole sofa.
Art class? Thinking of Candy’s drawing skills, Mo Jingchun was amused.
"What? You want to go too? No problem, I’ll sign you up right away."
With over two months of summer vacation, Mo Jingchun was naturally pleased if the little one wanted to go to art class.
"Hmph~"
"You did it on purpose, knowing full well I have no talent for drawing."
Seemingly recalling a fond memory, Candy giggled, "Brother, unless you give me your ID, I might consider joining the art class."
"Forget I said anything."
After dinner, Zhou Yaling picked up a photo Candy had left on the sofa, looked at it, and put it back down. But it was the diploma underneath the photo that made Zhou Yaling laugh out loud.
The photo on the certificate was truly ugly.
In the next moment, the diploma was snatched by Candy and hidden behind her back. The little one looked at her sister with a face full of caution.
Zhou Yaling sneered and said, "I already saw it, hiding it is useless."
"When was this photo taken? It’s not flattering at all."
Candy didn’t speak, but Mo Jingchun chuckled and spoke up, "That’s something you don’t know."
"The photos on the certificates were all taken and submitted by the kids themselves."
"Hahaha, I said there’s no way a kindergarten photographer could be that unreliable."
Watching her brother and sister laugh heartily, Candy turned her head away, not wanting to look at them.
Suddenly, Candy’s eyes lit up as she thought of the perfect place to hide the diploma!
Under the watchful eyes of Mo Jingchun and Zhou Yaling, Candy ran upstairs with the diploma.
Seeing Candy’s excitement, Mo Jingchun calmly smiled and said, "Do you believe that Candy plans to hide the diploma in the piggy bank?"
With wide eyes, Zhou Yaling thought about it for a moment and then nodded in agreement, "You know, that’s actually possible."
Mo Jingchun smiled without saying a word, as no one knows a sister better than her brother. Having always had Candy by his side, how could he not know her little thoughts?
"I’m going to take a nap. Accompanying Candy to the graduation ceremony wore me out."
Getting up, Mo Jingchun switched to a pair of slippers at the door and went upstairs.
When Candy came back downstairs after hiding the diploma, there was no sign of her brother.
"Sister, where’s brother?"
"He went upstairs to sleep."
"Did you hide the diploma?" Zhou Yaling chuckled.
Candy raised her head confidently and said, "Hmph... yes, I hid it."
"I’m not afraid to tell you, sister, I hid it in the piggy bank."
"Bleh bleh bleh~" Candy made a face at her sister. Hehe, it’s in the piggy bank, see what she can do about it.
Zhou Yaling looked at Candy in surprise; she really hadn’t expected Candy to just outright tell her she hid the diploma in the piggy bank. The next second, Zhou Yaling realized. That stainless steel piggy bank would require brute force to open and take anything out.
This kid has banked on her not daring to break open the piggy bank.
"You win..." Losing interest, Zhou Yaling continued watching the TV drama she had cast to the TV.
The little one accompanied Zhou Yaling for a while, then gave up.
"Sister, this isn’t good at all; how about we watch cartoons? Just watch Luffy, it’s so good, the school even shows it."
Lazily, Zhou Yaling said without changing her expression, "No way, after I finish watching, you can watch cartoons."
"Always watching cartoons every day, be careful, your brother might spank you."
Candy pursed her lips and said fearlessly, "Brother wouldn’t. He never minds me watching TV."
Unable to reclaim the TV and unable to bear watching romance dramas any longer, Candy went back to her room with Bun, presumably to tinker with something.
It was only after about two episodes of the drama that Candy came back downstairs. Hearing the commotion, Zhou Yaling glanced in her direction but didn’t pay much attention.
Feeling a bit guilty, Candy glanced at her sister and quickly pulled Little Grey, who had been napping in the doghouse.
Dragged into the elevator, Little Grey looked bewildered and a bit out of sorts.
"Second floor... here we are."
"Little Grey, hurry up."
Okay, since the little master has spoken, the lowest-ranking member of the household, Little Grey, dared not disobey, so he followed the little master with drooping head.
Following the little master all the way into the study, Little Grey found Bun also there.
Perched on the chair, Bun opened his eyes for a glance and then closed them again.
Candy pointed to the empty spot next to Bun and said sternly, "Little Grey, come sit down."
Seeing Little Grey obediently sit down, Candy nodded in satisfaction.
In Little Grey’s puzzled gaze, Candy took some unused sheets of A4 paper from the corner and taped them to the back of her brother’s desk.
Thus, a simple blackboard took shape.
Although the blackboard was white, it didn’t matter; Candy took out a box of colored markers from her pocket.
"1"
"2"
"3"
...
"9"
"10"
Candy quickly wrote ten of the simplest numbers on the white paper with a black marker, each number as big as Candy’s palm.
Who knows where Candy got a small wooden stick, slightly annoyed, she tapped it three times on Bun’s chair.
"How can you sleep during class?"
If Mo Jingchun were here, he would realize that the small wooden stick in Candy’s hand was the pointer he used to scare Candy.
After this intense demonstration, the forced-to-open-eyes Bun was genuinely confused. With Bun’s clever little mind, he couldn’t make sense of what the little master was doing.
