Chapter 637: Chapter 637: Born of the Same Mother

Looking at the little one’s pitiful eyes, Mo Jingchun was both angry and amused.

You showed no respect while setting fires during the day, and now you know how to feel embarrassed?

"It’s nothing, just wetting the bed, who hasn’t done that as a kid?"

The little guy didn’t bother changing out of his pajamas, tightly clutching Mo Jingchun’s arm.

"Older brother, you haven’t promised not to tell anyone yet."

"Don’t worry, I definitely won’t tell anyone. If you’re afraid of others talking, why wouldn’t your brother be afraid?"

Hearing this, Candy let out a long sigh, releasing her grip on her brother’s hands.

"Alright, it’s the middle of the night, hurry and let your sister take you to shower and change clothes. As for the bed... we’ll talk about it when you wake up tomorrow. Tonight, just sleep with your sister."

After speaking, Mo Jingchun yawned and turned to leave.

Staying would only make Candy more flustered; it was better to quietly return to his room and continue sleeping. It’s just bed-wetting, no big deal. Back in preschool, he remembered classmates who had accidents in class, even in their pants.

In the third-floor bathroom, after bathing and smelling fresh, Candy felt much better.

Thinking back, it was terrifying how playing with fire led to bed-wetting. She vowed not to mess with her brother’s magnifying glass again. It was truly frightening.

Busy for half an hour, Zhou Yaling, who had gone to bed late, just wanted to return to sleep.

"Alright, bedtime, we’ll deal with the rest tomorrow."

After the lights went out, Candy snuggled into Zhou Yaling’s arm and fell asleep drowsily.

Perhaps because the sheets and covers hadn’t been washed yet, still bearing the evidence of wetting the bed, Candy didn’t sleep soundly. As the sky began to brighten, she woke up to see her sister still asleep and quietly slipped out of bed.

Carefully making her way to the living room, Candy brought White up to her room on the third floor.

"White, help me take off the duvet cover."

A flash of red glowed in White’s eyes as it gave a strange look towards Candy.

Pausing for a moment, White did as Candy asked and removed the duvet cover.

At six-thirty in the morning, with his morning run finished and sweat pouring down, Mo Jingchun entered the house, only to hear something happening in the laundry room.

Mo Jingchun lightly stepped over and chuckled at what he saw.

White was holding a pile of sheets and other items while Candy squatted on the floor, tossing each item into the washing machine.

"Next step... add laundry detergent..."

"White, give me the laundry detergent."

The next second, without turning around, Candy reached out to take the laundry detergent, feeling something was off but unable to pinpoint it.

Piling the detergent generously and closing the washing machine, Candy clapped her hands together.

"Hehe, I’m quite the clever little rascal."

"Haha, you got that right. Erasing evidence from early in the morning, that’s clever of you."

"Oh no!" Candy yelped at her brother’s sudden voice from behind, retreating a step and landing on her bottom. She realized the hands passing her the detergent were warm – it was clearly her brother’s hands!

"Brother, what are you talking about? I don’t understand."

Mo Jingchun gave Candy a sideways glance and said deliberately and clearly, "I said erasing evidence, that’s clever of you."

Mo Jingchun then fell silent.

"Hahaha, brother, what on earth are you saying? I’m so cute, already doing my own laundry. What evidence? I don’t understand."

White, tilting its head with blinking eyes, witnessed everything but couldn’t say a word. Revealing anything might result in being taken apart.

"Who knew you’re quite intelligent," Mo Jingchun said as he ruffled Candy’s hair, making it even messier than it already was.

"Hehe, brother, we share the same mom, so of course, I’m as smart as you."

"Go, go, go, hurry and change, brush your teeth, and wash your face. You finally woke up early, don’t follow your sister’s example of getting up when the sun’s already high in the sky."

"Got it~" Candy replied, bouncing happily as she walked away victorious.

As Candy brushed her teeth and washed up, Mo Jingchun instructed White to bring out Candy’s duvet.

The girl, convinced she had done a flawless job, forgot that the duvet was also wet from her excitement.

After spreading the duvet out to dry in the courtyard, Mo Jingchun finally went to shower.

The cooling sweat left his entire body feeling sticky; it was truly uncomfortable.

When Candy came downstairs again, ready for breakfast, she found no one in the kitchen.

Guessing her brother might be showering, Candy hesitated, rubbing her grumbling tummy, and dashed outside.

Regardless, she wanted to fill her belly first by finding the older girls and boys to eat with.

Stepping outdoors, Candy spotted her familiar duvet fluttering in the breeze, and she froze.

"That’s my duvet," she thought. Glancing back at the house sheepishly, she muttered, "Brother was going easy on me all along."

"I’m so silly, really."

The enticing aroma of vegetable buns wafted by, making Candy’s eyes brighten as she dashed out of the yard, calling sweetly, "Feiyan, I want some vegetable buns!"

Delighted, Candy took over Wild Wolf’s captain’s seat, relishing the store-bought buns and soy milk.

She smacked her lips, but the soy milk tasted off.

"This... something’s strange about the soy milk."

Lone Wolf chuckled, "It’s made with soy milk powder. The taste is different from freshly ground soy milk, of course."

"Is it good?"

Candy wrinkled her brow, saying, "I can’t say. It feels like soy milk but also like milk at the same time."

After her meal, Candy waddled home and heard noises from the kitchen, calling out loudly, "Brother, I’m full; you don’t have to make breakfast for me."

The kitchen suddenly went silent for a moment then resumed activity.

Quickly, Candy regretted her greedy decision.

She gazed at her brother’s bowl, filled with unfamiliar and delectable-smelling food.

"Brother, what is this? It smells so good~"

Mo Jingchun smiled with a faint smirk, saying, "It’s lump soup, and it doesn’t taste good at all."

Candy’s eyes were filled with disbelief. It smelled so delicious; it couldn’t taste bad. Her brother was trying to trick her again.

But... Candy gazed down at her round tummy. She really couldn’t eat more.

If she kept eating, she’d be stuffed.

Unable to resist, Candy gulped and licked her lips, saying, "Brother, I’ll just taste a spoonful of the soup."

Tasting the soup, Candy’s eyes lit up!

Such a fresh taste! It’s really delicious.
