Chapter 635: Chapter 635: Mischief in Silence

The little one was urged by her brother to go upstairs and change clothes, brush her teeth, and wash her face.

Zhou Yaling casually rubbed her eyes and went straight to the kitchen to get busy.

While cooking noodles, Zhou Yaling took four fresh eggs from the fridge. She wanted two poached eggs for herself, was that too much? Not at all, right?

A few minutes later, Candy came running downstairs, heading straight for the kitchen.

As soon as she entered, Candy smelled the fragrance.

Putting the chopped scallions into the noodles, Zhou Yaling looked at the two bowls on the stove and nodded with satisfaction.

"Go sit at the table, I’ll bring it over to you. Be careful not to burn yourself."

Due to her limited height, Candy couldn’t see how many poached eggs were in the bowl.

"Sister, two poached eggs, okay~"

Zhou Yaling glanced at Candy and snorted. "Would you ever get less than your share?"

"Hehe."

Hearing this, Candy didn’t dilly-dally and obediently ran to the dining chair, waiting for the meal.

When her sister placed a full bowl of noodles in front of her, Candy was very happy.

Two large poached eggs stacked together, not too many and not too few, just right.

In her happiness, Candy made a heart sign to Zhou Yaling.

"Sister, love you (●´З`●)"

"Hurry up and eat."

"Mm-hmm."

Not long after Zhou Yaling began eating her own bowl of noodles, Candy was surprised to find her sister also had two.

And Candy didn’t even know that in the morning, her brother also ate two poached eggs.

Full and satisfied, Candy felt as if she was filled with energy.

So...

Candy ran to her brother’s side, snuggling up close, and hugged his arm sweetly, saying, "Brother, do you want to go out and play today?"

Mo Jingchun put down his phone and asked, "Where to play?"

"First of all, I’m not going shopping."

For a moment, Candy was confused; if not shopping, where else was there to play in this small town?

There didn’t seem to be any place.

Oh, there was a small park, but that’s all it was. This season, there probably weren’t any small boats in the lake for playing.

Seeing the little one silently release her grip and turn back upstairs, Mo Jingchun rubbed his nose and continued watching his movie.

Shopping is really tiring.

Who knows how much time had passed; the movie was nearing its end when Candy silently came downstairs again.

Without saying a word, she ran out the door. Mo Jingchun only glanced and didn’t bother anymore.

There were a dozen people watching outside, so if Candy could run a hundred meters away, she would win.

In the yard, Candy took a sneaky peek inside the house, giggling as she revealed the sister’s round mirror hidden behind her back.

In the sunlight, the mirror indeed reflected a dazzling white light.

On the opposite villa rooftop, Hawkeye watched Candy playing with a smile, but the next second, Hawkeye couldn’t smile anymore.

Under the intense light, Hawkeye instinctively closed his eyes and reached out to block the sunlight reflected by Candy.

"Damn it, watching the show until it came to me."

When the reflected light disappeared, and Hawkeye looked back at the yard, Candy was indeed laughing at him heartily.

It seemed that to fulfill Hawkeye’s wish, Candy really stood at the gate, starting to reflect light into the house.

"Whoa!~"

Feeling instantly invigorated, Hawkeye immediately grabbed the binoculars placed at his side.

Inside, Mo Jingchun, who was watching TV, closed his eyes immediately.

"Candy!" He knew it; the little one was always up to mischief when quiet. Mo Jingchun regretted not stepping out earlier for a look.

"Hahaha~" Both Candy and Zhou Yaling laughed heartily without a care in the world.

Mo Jingchun moved aside, got a clear view of Candy, and became even more annoyed.

You could see Candy bending over and sticking her head out at the door, holding the mirror, laughing non-stop. Her pigtails swayed along with her laughter.

"Well done!"

Hawkeye saw Candy being dragged inside by the boss with one hand, and he enthusiastically slapped his thigh.

It was unclear whether he was pleased because Candy "harmed" the boss or because Candy was about to get scolded, or maybe both.

To celebrate a little, Hawkeye even opened a bottle of soda. Sometimes, a man’s happiness is just that simple.

Inside, Zhou Yaling smilingly took away the makeup mirror from Candy’s hand and stood quietly aside, watching her brother tickling Candy.

"Let’s see if you dare next time."

"Hahaha... hahaha..."

Candy was rolling on the floor, her hands flailing to protect one area while her brother tickled another.

"Hahaha..."

"Will you dare next time?"

"I won’t, I won’t, hahaha..."

"Wah~~~ Brother, let me go, I know I was wrong, hahaha..."

Probably from being tired of tickling, Mo Jingchun stopped.

"Tell me, who taught you."

No one taught her; Mo Jingchun couldn’t believe Candy discovered the reflection phenomenon by herself.

The little one stepped back a couple of steps, guarding her armpits, and then took another big step back, still feeling unsafe.

It was only after Candy finally spoke slowly.

After a long while, Mo Jingchun glared at Candy, saying, "So you learned it from a classmate of yours?"

"Why don’t you learn to draw like them."

The little one muttered with her head down, "Drawing needs talent, you know."

"Why not make a music comparison with other kids."

Hearing this, Mo Jingchun almost choked on his breath.

With the mirror confiscated, a bored Candy pulled Little Grey and with a grunt, ran to the yard.

Mo Jingchun peeked for a moment, seeing Candy just crouching to change circles, so he turned back to the sofa to continue his TV show.

Hawkeye, seeing Candy take out a small object from her pocket, immediately grabbed his binoculars to look closely, thinking something was up.

"Oh my, where did she get a magnifying glass; is she planning to set the house on fire?"

"Thank goodness... she’s just heating the dog’s bum."

In the yard, under Candy’s comforting, Little Grey lay down obediently, contentedly closing his eyes.

Candy silently held a magnifying glass, following a classmate’s explanation, focusing sunlight into a particularly bright little white spot.

Suddenly, Little Grey raised his head and twitched his nose.

It seemed the air was filled with the scent of something burning. After looking around, Little Grey laid back down confidently.

Then, Candy silently pulled out the magnifying glass hidden behind her back again.

With previous experience, Candy quickly focused the light into a small white dot this time.

"Aw-ooh~ Aw-ooh~ Aw-ooh~"

Little Grey jumped up with a start, tucked his tail, and ran into the house, yelping all the way.

The next second, Candy heard her brother shout in anger.

"Candy!"

"You’re up to mischief again!"

Before her brother could come out, Candy dashed out of the yard, ready to run away at any moment.

Though she certainly wouldn’t get away, she reasoned she could buy herself an extra second of safety.
