Chapter 1518: After Story: Please Don’t Cry
A month after Thirteen wedded all his lovers, Erasmus had sent him an invitation to spend a vacation in the world of Artem.
"Bring your wives and family for a vacation," Erasmus stated. "Artem has many places perfect for honeymoons. We will welcome all of you with open arms."
Thirteen didn’t hesitate and accepted the invitation, bringing not only his wives and family, but also the family of his wives.
After the invasion of the Outer Gods, the four worlds had formed an official alliance.
Solterra, Pangea, Artem, and Queen Miriamelle’s home world, Chandrea.
The latter was once a vassal planet of Artem. But after Erasmus took charge of the throne, it had been freed from its vassalship and regained its independence, which made Queen Miriamelle very happy.
And you know what they say, a happy wife is the secret to having a happy marriage.
Thirteen and his wives went to the famous vacation spots for their honeymoon, while the Leventis Family stayed in the castle and were treated like royalty.
Since their parents were out for a tour of the city, Remi and Rhia decided to go to the garden instead.
The royal garden was filled with many colorful and fragrant flowers. It was so beautiful that the two girls thought they had stepped into some kind of fairy land.
As they headed deeper at the heart of the garden, they arrived at the fountain area. There, they saw a beautiful woman sitting on one of the benches.
She was extremely beautiful, the type that could bring the ruin of a kingdom.
Sensing their presence, Queen Miriamelle looked in their direction with a smile.
The two knew her identity since their big brother had introduced her to them after they arrived in the world of Artem.
Truth be told, Erasmus had a reason for inviting Thirteen and his family to visit Artem. He wanted to give Queen Miriamelle an opportunity to see Rhia.
Naturally, Thirteen managed to discern his friend’s hidden message from his invitation.
The threat of the Jinns and the Infernals had been dealt with, so he thought this was a good time for the Queen to finally spend time with her daughter, who had been reborn as Thirteen’s sister.
While she no longer had any memory of her, Queen Miriamelle still wanted to see her.
She wanted to hold her and apologize for all the hardships she had suffered for many years.
When the seven-year old’s gaze landed on the Queen, she felt shy and hid behind her sister, Remi.
However a few seconds later, she peeked out from behind her back and looked at the beautiful woman, her eyes filled with curiosity.
Seeing her act like this, Queen Miriamelle felt like her heart was melting from how cute her daughter was.
Although she was no longer Rhia’s biological mother, in her heart, Rhia would always be her daughter.
"Don’t be afraid," Remi said with a smile, as she held her sister’s hand. "It’s Queen Miriamelle. She won’t hurt us."
"She won’t?" Rhia asked innocently.
"Never," Queen Miriamelle replied. "I promise."
The queen wanted nothing more than to hold Rhia in her arms and hug her tightly. She also wanted to kiss her chubby cheeks, as if to catch up for the years that they hadn’t been together.
The Leventis Family, including Remi, knew the full story of Rhia’s origin. So, of course, she knew that the beautiful woman in front of her was actually her sister’s birth mother.
Truth be told, the Queen had always monitored Rhia’s movements. When she realized the two girls were headed to the garden, she hurried to arrive first and waited at the fountain area.
She even ordered the guards to not allow anyone to enter the garden, except for Remi, and Rhia.
Holding her sister’s hand, Remi slowly walked toward the Queen, who was waiting patiently for their arrival.
With each step Rhia took, the beating of Queen Miriamelle’s heart also quickened.
As the distance between them shortened, Rhia’s lip trembled.
When she was only a meter away from the Queen, the little girl’s face suddenly scrunched up.
Tears suddenly fell from her eyes, catching Remi and Queen Miriamelle by surprise.
The two of them immediately panicked and asked if Rhia was hurt somewhere.
"It hurts here," Rhia said while pointing at her chest. "Wuwuwu!"
Perhaps unable to hold back her maternal instincts, Queen Miriamelle reached out to hold the crying girl in her arms.
Remi watched this scene with teary eyes. She could feel the overflowing love that the Queen had for her sister.
"Wuwuwu!"
"Don’t cry, my sweet Rhia. Please don’t cry."
"Wuwuwu!"
The little girl cried, and cried, and cried some more. Her heart was aching after being in close proximity with her mother, whom she hadn’t seen for many years.
Half an hour later, Rhia’s tears slowly receded, but she was still hugging Queen Miriamelle tightly.
The Queen, on the other hand, made sure to control her strength, afraid she might hurt the fragile girl who was one of the most important people in her life.
"Good girl," Queen Miriamelle said as she wiped the tear stains on Rhia’s cheek. "You’re a very good girl, Rhia."
"Un." Rhia nodded, and allowed the Queen to wipe her face until it was finally dry.
"Can I kiss you?" Queen Miriamelle asked.
"Un!" Rhia replied and even puckered her own lips, which made the Queen giggle.
Queen Miriamelle gave Rhia’s lips a quick peck before peppering her cheeks with kisses and hugging her tenderly.
Her eyes were filled with love and affection, truly feeling the joy of finally hugging her daughter once more, even though the little girl no longer remembered her.
"Where do you want to go?" Queen Miriamelle asked as she lifted the little girl, holding her in her arms. "Do you want to eat something sweet? Do you want ice cream? We have ice cream."
But instead of the answer she was hoping to hear from her, Rhia said something that made the Queen flinch.
"Mama?" Rhia looked at the Queen in askance.
The woman’s lips trembled as her eyes moistened after hearing Rhia call her Mama.
How long had she waited for this moment where the two of them would be reunited again?
"Un." Queen Miriamelle nodded gently. "Call me Mama Miriamelle. Can you do that?"
"Mama Meermall?"
"Miriamelle."
"Mall?"
The Queen giggled and once again peppered the little girl’s cheeks.
In the end, Rhia and the Queen came to a compromise.
The little girl called her, Mama Mir.
It was a good start, and the Queen could ask nothing more.
She believed that given time, Rhia would grow close to her, and the time they spent together would also grow longer.
In fact, Queen Miriamelle already had a plan. She would visit Pangea weekly to visit Rhia and spend a few days in the Leventis Residence.
This was the perfect plan, and she believed that Thirteen and his family would welcome her with open arms.
The three of them then spent the day happily while touring the royal gardens, eating as many sweets as they could to mark the day when the mother-daughter pair finally held each other once more.
