On New Year’s Eve, people were everywhere.

After Xu Lin and Yu Xinyan finished eating, Xu Lin took Yu Xinyan for a stroll nearby.
The first stop was the flower market.

"Hubby, once I start working or find a place to rent, I want to keep a golden tabby!"
Yu Xinyan was playful with a twelve-color short-haired golden tabby, completely enchanted.
"Then let’s get one when the time comes."
"Hubby, look at this blue-gold one, isn’t it cute?"
"It is quite cute."
Xu Lin thought the blue-gold one looked better.
"How about this Maine Coon?" Xu Lin asked her.
"Not a fan, Maine Coons look really fierce. Hubby, what kind of cat do you like?"
"I prefer tabby cats, but not too skinny, ideally a bit chubby, looking round and cuddly."
"So being a little chubby is cuter?"
"You could say that."
As the two chatted, unbeknownst to them, Rong Xiyi and Xia Xiyao were also there.
Jiangdu is very large, and with the crowd on New Year’s Eve, running into acquaintances is nearly impossible.

Rong Xiyi noticed the bouquet Yu Xinyan was holding, "That bouquet must have been given to her by Xu Lin!"

In the area where Xu Lin and Yu Xinyan were, a large screen on a mall was counting down to the new year.
Less than ten minutes remained.
Xu Lin and Yu Xinyan stood on the edge of the square, where it was less crowded and not packed.
Yu Xinyan leaned against Xu Lin, letting him hold her from behind, watching the countdown peacefully.
"Hubby, do you have any wishes for the new year?"
