Chapter 711: Chapter 711: Forced to Be Alone
Lu Jihan said, "Even if there are no shoes for sale, I’ll borrow a pair. If that doesn’t work, I’ll go straight back to the hotel and bring a pair for you."
Just as he was speaking, someone knocked on the door of the lounge.
The visitor turned out to be Shana’s personal guard, Amu.
Amu came in holding a medical box in one hand and a box in the other. He said, "Mr. Lu, Mrs. Lu, Miss Shana asked me to bring these for you, saying Mrs. Lu might need them."
As he spoke, Amu put down the items.
"Oh, right, Mr. Lu, the President was just asking where you had gone, saying he wanted to introduce you to the Finance Minister of S Country."
After saying this, Amu turned and left.
Song Yinyin looked down and took the box, which contained a pair of flat shoes. Putting them on was indeed more comfortable than the high heels.
She just didn’t understand.
Just a moment ago, she suspected the high heels were deliberately damaged by Shana, yet now she sent a pair of flats over. What exactly did it mean?
While she was still puzzled, Lu Jihan took hold of her ankle and applied ointment to her foot.
After applying the ointment, she indeed felt less pain in her ankle. The cooling and soothing effect of the ointment helped relieve the pain, much like herbal remedies for injuries in Country Z.
Although the ointment eased the pain, her ankle still hurt a bit when walking.
Not wanting to see her in pain, Lu Jihan kept holding her slender waist and returned to the hall with her.
From afar, they saw President Shi Mai’er holding a glass of red wine. He gave them a slight nod, signaling to Lu Jihan.
Song Yinyin gently nudged Lu Jihan and said, "You should go. This is a rare opportunity. You might be able to expand your career to S Country and even all of South America."
"But I worry about you being alone..." Lu Jihan glanced at her ankle, his handsome eyebrows still furrowed.
Song Yinyin looked around and her eyes fell on the bar area.
She pointed to a round stool by the bar, smiling as she said, "I’ll go sit over there. You don’t have to worry about me."
Lu Jihan glanced over and saw that spot was within his line of sight, ensuring she stayed within his view. Only then did he nod in agreement.
Song Yinyin then carefully hopped on one foot over to the bar stool to sit down.
Surrounded by people from S Country, facing a language barrier, Song Yinyin sat in her seat daydreaming alone.
Until a stranger appeared.
"Miss, are you alone?" he asked, in perfect British English, revealing he must have spent time in England.
Song Yinyin instinctively turned to look and discovered a young man standing behind her, around twenty-five or twenty-six years old, dressed in a very Western European fashion, with the good looks of a mixed-race individual.
He was a handsome man with mature charm.
Tall, likely over 1.8 meters, his European style attire gave off a youthful and energetic vibe. His long trousers highlighted his long and firm legs.
His outfit was simple, just a watch on his left hand, looking very exquisite.
His face constantly wore a gentle smile, appearing non-aggressive, combined with a voice like a broadcast host’s standard British English. Song Yinyin didn’t feel much resistance towards him and shook her head with a smile.
Seeing her not speaking, the man asked again in English, "Miss, you’re not from S Country, are you?"
"No, I’m from Country Z, here on my honeymoon." Song Yinyin replied in English, with a charming smile, responding politely and courteously.
