Chapter 2631: Chapter 2624: Unreasonable
"Oh! Got it." Ning Chenyang responded.
After coming out of the ward, Ning Chenyang walked around the corridor and finally stopped by the glass window, looking down.
The hospital entrance was bustling with people coming and going, and there were many fruit vendors. Since it was summer, there were also quite a few people pushing ice cream carts around.
Seeing the ice cream made Ning Chenyang want to eat one. He glanced back at the still lively ward, turned around, and went downstairs on his own to buy an ice cream.
He had just bought an ice cream and was about to put it in his mouth when he suddenly felt a small hand tugging at his shirt. Ning Chenyang turned his head and saw a little boy, about Tian Nan’s age, staring at him with big eyes.
"What’s up? Why are you pulling my shirt?" Ning Chenyang tilted his head, looking at the little guy.
"I want to eat..." The little boy looked longingly at the ice cream in Ning Chenyang’s hand, "I want to eat..."
He smacked his lips, staring at the ice cream, almost drooling at the mouth.
Ning Chenyang saw the little boy’s face blushed and hot, thinking he was just overheated from the weather since he was so young and looked very eager. So, he handed his ice cream to the boy’s mouth: "Here, take a few bites. This is my only one, so you can’t have it all. Leave me a few bites."
"Thank you, big brother." The little boy politely thanked Ning Chenyang and opened his mouth wide to eat the ice cream.
The moment he put it in his mouth, the ice cream started to melt, cool and sweet. The little boy showed a satisfied expression: "Delicious."
"Then have a few more bites." Ning Chenyang licked his own lips and said to him.
The little boy nodded and opened his mouth. Just as he bit into the ice cream, suddenly, out of nowhere, a little girl rushed up and slapped the ice cream out of Ning Chenyang’s hand.
This slap stunned the little boy and shocked Ning Chenyang.
The little boy, coming to his senses, saw that the ice cream he just got a bite of was now on the dirty ground. He pursed his lips, eyes reddening, and looked up, bursting into tears.
"Hey! Why did you knock my ice cream down?" Ning Chenyang looked at this unruly little girl, angrily furrowed his brow and glared at her.
"Who told you to give him the ice cream! He’s got a fever, don’t you know that? Feel his head, it’s burning hot!!! And you still let him eat ice cream!!!" The little girl seemed a bit older than Chenyang, looking about seven or eight, she stood with her hands on her hips fiercely, staring at Ning Chenyang like he was a class enemy.
"I didn’t know your brother had a fever! Why are you taking it out on me? I bought the ice cream, he wanted a taste, I just let him have a bite, how is that my fault?" Ning Chenyang angrily looked at this girl throwing a tantrum and shouted at her.
"It’s your fault! Who told you to let him eat it!!!" The girl was being somewhat unreasonable, not feeling that knocking Ning Chenyang’s ice cream down was a mistake at all.
"You... you are really unreasonable. Am I just unlucky today? I’m not going to bother with you!" Ning Chenyang thought this girl was not cute at all.
His mother always said it’s better to argue with a sensible person than talk to a muddled one.
He felt this little girl was a muddled person, and he didn’t want to talk to her, so he stomped his foot and turned to walk back into the hospital.
However, he had only walked a few steps when he suddenly heard the girl crying out: "Brother, brother, wake up! Brother, what’s wrong with you?"
