Chapter 167: Chapter 167: Helping the Little Female Fetch Bath Shui

"Uncle Yuan Qi, I’m going to head home first. If you need anything, just call for me."

Wu Yue tactfully decided to make her exit. After all, she wasn’t part of the original Hunting Team and had nothing to report.

Yuan Qi raised a hand, about to say something, but Yuan Lang stepped forward and walked to Wu Yue’s side. "Father, you go on ahead to the Clan Leader’s. I’ll help the little female take her things back home."

With that, he shot a subtle glance toward the back of the group, where the Beastmen from the Flying Eagle Tribe were curiously looking around.

Yuan Qi got the hint immediately. "Go on, then. While you’re at it, see if Yue needs help with anything. It’s fine if you don’t come back."

The implication couldn’t have been clearer. The two of them even exchanged a knowing glance.

Wu Yue watched them with a stiff expression. ’So, is it really okay for you two to be making such blatant innuendos right in front of me?’

’Do you think I don’t understand? Do you have any idea where I’m from?’

’Trying to show off your paltry skills in front of a master like me?’

’Push me and I’ll hit you with something that’ll really blind your tiger eyes.’

After saying goodbye to the Beastmen from the Flying Eagle Tribe, Wu Yue and Yuan Lang walked straight toward her home.

She hadn’t thought she’d need Yuan Lang’s help with anything, but when she saw the large barrel inside her house...

A very devious smile couldn’t help but appear on a certain little female’s face.

Beaming, she looked at the tall Beastman by the door. "Yuanlang Warrior, how about you help me fetch some water?"

As she spoke, her eyes twinkled and she glanced toward the large wooden barrel inside.

Yuan Lang raised an eyebrow...

’Not bad,’ he thought. ’This little female is getting bolder. Daring to ask a great General like me to fetch her bathwater?’

The smile on Wu Yue’s face grew even brighter. "Can you?"

A smirk touched Yuan Lang’s lips. He strode over to the wooden barrel inside and, to Wu Yue’s utter shock, casually lifted it by one side and walked out.

Wu Yue walked over to her own small bucket and gave it a lift... Feeling the weight in her arm, she nodded with a straight face.

’My strength is normal,’ she thought. ’Beastmen as a species... Heh.’

Meanwhile, Yuan Lang, who had just left, was about to take a shortcut behind the house to get to the river, but he stopped just as he was about to turn.

The smile on his lips deepened, and a dark glint appeared in his eyes. He turned and, carrying the large barrel, headed straight for the most crowded clearing in the tribe.

’Well... the water there is clearer,’ he reasoned. ’It’ll make for a cleaner bath.’

In the clearing, the older members of the tribe were grinding Stone Tools, surrounded by plump little cubs running and tumbling about.

In the shade of a nearby tree, little piles of fluff were huddled together, letting out soft snores. Their round little bellies were exposed, looking like a cluster of puffy, white dough balls.

Suddenly, the peace and quiet of the clearing was shattered by the sound of heavy footsteps. One by one, the little cubs scrambled to hide behind stone platforms, peeking out curiously to see who it was.

A strong, handsome Beastman appeared in everyone’s view, carrying a huge wooden barrel in one hand. When the little cubs saw it was a familiar Beastman Warrior, they pounced on him with a chorus of yips, grabbing at his legs and scratching at his Beast Skin clothes, impossibly energetic.

An older Beastman, seeing him carrying such a large barrel, stood up curiously. "Yuan Lang, lad, didn’t you just go out with the Hunting Team?"

"You should be resting now that you’re back. What are you doing, carrying a big barrel like that?"

A faint smile played on Yuan Lang’s lips. "The little female wants to take a bath. I’m going to fetch her water."
