Chapter 2397: Hmm, that one seems good.

"That sounds more dramatic than I would put it, but yes."

Nux laughed and as his wives, especially Shadow, saw him interact with the Seer, she narrowed her eyes.

Shadow did not know any of what was being discussed and... that made her feel uncomfortable.

Till now, her understanding of Nux’s Universe had only been weaker than Nux himself, she knew things no other being other than Nux knew but now...

Now as she looked at Nux and the Seer talking about things that made absolutely no sense in her mind, she felt... threatened.

As the first Goddess of the Universe, she was supposed to know everything but she didn’t even know their Universe was near collapse.

She didn’t know what Nux had been doing all this while, neither did she know how he did what he did.

She only felt their Universe strengthening when Nux devoured all those worlds and while she did wonder why it wasn’t strengthened as much as she thought it would since a hundred thousand was an absurd number, in her mind, that didn’t matter since it was busy trying to comprehend what Nux and the Seer were talking about.

Shadow...

She felt like an outsider inside her own Universe.

As she looked at the Seer, she couldn’t help but think that... she knew more about Nux’s Universe than her and it... angered her.

And it wasn’t just her.

As the women watched her converse with Nux, as they sensed how familiar they had become, how the dynamic between them had changed from Nux always being the one who guessed her intentions to her asking questions with shocked, even terrified looks on her face.

The women did not like that one bit—

Because that change of dynamic was... similar to theirs.

The Seer...

She was becoming one of them.

And the worst part?

Both of them did not seem to realize it.

"Heh."

Allura grinned, her eyes shining with a mischievous look, but before she could say or even think of doing anything—

"Don’t."

Amaya spoke with a strict look on her face.

"Do not forget what she did."

She spoke as she looked at the Seer with hatred.

Allura looked at her, then at the Seer, then at Nux talking to her—

"He seems to have forgiven her."

She smiled.

"..."

Amaya didn’t say anything.

She still felt... uncomfortable.

But then—

"Calm down."

Riona gently held her hand. Amaya turned to her mother and Riona smiled—

"Nux is not foolish, Amaya.

If he has decided to trust anyone, we can trust her as well."

"I still need the full story."

Amaya wasn’t convinced.

"It’s not just you who wants it."

Felberta spoke, her eyes staring at the Seer with curious eyes. Skyla, Aisha and Eisheth had a familiar shine in their eyes as well.

The Seer, oblivious to their conversation, was entirely focused on Nux.

"So what now?"

She asked.

"Hmm? What do you mean?"

Nux tilted his head in confusion and the Seer, she just blinked.

"You destroyed a Universe that should have lived for three hundred quintillion more years, from this point on, it was supposed to birth a hundred and fifteen more branches, branches which would further give birth to thousands of branches.

Your single action has put the survival of thousands of Universes in jeopardy, what are you going to do about it?"

The Seer asked.

And Nux just looked at her with a smile.

"Do you remember when I asked what you were going to do after you used me as a veil and interacted with the Universe when you shouldn’t?"

He asked and the instant he did, the Seer’s expression changed because she remembered her answer.

"You are going to leave it to the Multiverse..."

"That’s the Multiverse’s mess to deal with."

Nux shrugged, repeating the Seer’s exact words.

The Seer didn’t know what to say, she couldn’t even get mad because she had done the exact same thing.

But—

The difference between the two of them was that—

Nux wasn’t planning on stopping.

"Nux."

Suddenly, Vyriana called as she walked towards him, behind her were Ember and Astaria.

"Hm?"

Nux turned towards them and smiled.

He seemed much calmer now that he didn’t have to forcefully hold his Universe’s existence together.

"You didn’t send us in."

Astaria complained.

"I couldn’t possibly have sent any of you when it was my first time doing what I did. I didn’t know how this would have played out."

"You said you needed our help."

Ember narrowed her eyes.

"I do.

Right now."

Nux nodded.

Then, he turned back towards the screen where the Multiverse was now visible and the moment the Seer looked at Nux’s face, her eyes widened in horror as the realization finally set in.

Nux wasn’t done.

And he wasn’t.

"Hmm, that one seems good."

He muttered as he pointed at another Universe, a Universe where Seraphielle had won and unlike how most would expect—where she, even if it was just to improve her Authority with the Power of Light, would promote peace and happiness—

It didn’t happen.

In fact, Seraphielle did the opposite.

Now, when she realized she had won and no being was strong enough to challenge her, she let go of the persona she had built and let her rotten personality come out.

The Universe screamed, the forces of Light suppressed anyone who dared raise their voice, taxes were introduced just so every being barely scraped by, but at the same time, Seraphielle didn’t kill anyone either.

She erased the concept of death so suffering could continue for Eternity.

The Universe was... rotten to the Core.

Nux couldn’t help but feel disgusted by it, not that he cared, he simply chose the weakest point of the Universe’s Timeline.

It was the same too, right after Seraphielle’s victory, the only difference was that Seraphielle didn’t close herself off, she was injured but she simply sacrificed a few worlds to gather enough energy to be able to heal herself.

Although that didn’t change anything either.

Nux had been attacking the Main Universe when all Four Infinities were at their strongest, so as long as he didn’t attack the Universe after an Infinity had become its Absolute God—

He wouldn’t face any problem.

So he did exactly that.

He chose the exact time where Seraphielle had just won the War, before she could even heal herself let alone take over the Universe—

And—

He Invaded.
