Chapter 361: Chapter 361: The Strange Token_1
Ah Da’s death shocked everyone else, they all retreated.
Who would have thought that a person, after being bombarded and fired upon by machinery, could still be alive and walk out unscathed.
This simply wasn’t human!
Ye Fei pulled Ah Si up in one go.
"You alright?"
Ah Si straightened his clothes, fury rising in his heart, drew his weapon, and was ready to fight to the death with the opponent.
"Don’t try to be brave, just stay put and wait here."
Ye Fei pushed Ah Si aside.
Then, with an indifferent gaze, he looked towards Ah Er and the remaining twenty or so Pangu Sect experts.
With Ah Da dead, Ah Er naturally became the boss.
He looked at Ye Fei and then at the dozens of his own men.
The numerical advantage gave him confidence once again.
"What’s there to be afraid of! The kid wasn’t killed; he just got lucky! With so many of us, do you think he can scare us? Don’t forget, we are all pillars of the Pangu Sect!"
After Ah Er said this, the other assassins seemed to be revitalized as well.
"Right! No matter how skillful his martial arts are, can he kill so many of us by himself?"
"And after that round of bombardment, even if he isn’t dead, he must have suffered serious internal injuries. If we attack him all at once now, I don’t believe we can’t kill him!"
Hearing these people’s words, Ye Fei’s mouth curved into a slight smile, his eyes reflecting utter disdain.
"Brothers! Avenge Ah Da! Earn merits for our master! Take this kid down, and we can carry on with our joy! Charge!"
With Ah Er’s order, twenty assassins attacked from all directions simultaneously.
Ah Si cried out anxiously, "Ye Fei, be careful! These people are from the Pangu Sect’s Shadow Hall, and their strength is no small matter! You must not take them lightly!"
Ye Fei simply looked at Ah Si indifferently, his eyes filled with confidence.
Shua shua shua!
Bang bang bang!
In the following ten seconds.
Blades flashed and swords shadowed.
Bullets flew chaotically.
Screams were incessant.
The assassins from the Pangu Sect’s Shadow Hall, supposedly the elite of the elite, fell down like leeks, batch after batch.
And Ye Fei, with a relaxed gait, was completely at ease, as if a feeble old man was playing with infants; without a shred of effort.
In the end, only Ah Er was left.
Ah Er, gathering all his strength and gritting his teeth, threw away his weapon and knelt down before Ye Fei.
"Grandpa! Only after fighting with you today did I realize that there are people beyond people, heavens beyond heavens! You’re truly too powerful, I am utterly outmatched!"
"I kowtow to you, sir, I am willing to turn from darkness to light, I only ask that you spare my life! Give me a chance to start over, please!"
Ah Er’s face was filled with abasement and sincerity.
Yet Ye Fei remained expressionless, with a finger jab to Ah Er’s Adam’s apple.
Suddenly, Ah Er was frozen in place, unable to move.
Ye Fei bent down to pick up a blade and handed it to Ah Si.
"It’s yours to deal with."
Ah Si took the blade, fire in his eyes as he walked step by step towards Ah Er.
Ah Er, seeing this, was stricken with terror, pleading more urgently.
"Ah Si, Ah Si, remember we grew up together since we were kids, sharing the same sect. I beg you, please don’t kill me. We were just fooling around earlier, you can’t take it seriously. Ah Si... Ah!... AHH!!!"
Ah Si couldn’t be bothered to listen to his nonsense and made a cut at Ah Er’s crotch.
With a scream, Ah Si slashed again with his backhand.
Gurgle, gurgle.
Ah Er’s head rolled to the ground.
Ah Si then ruthlessly kicked the heads of both Ah Da and Ah Er, making them disappear without a trace.
"The stuff is in hand. Let’s go."
"Mm."
Ye Fei and Ah Si, one following the other, walked towards the ropes.
But just as Ye Fei turned around, he inadvertently caught a glimpse of a faint glint of gold from the bottom of the pit blasted in the mouth of hell.
Hm?
Ye Fei immediately turned back.
After confirming the gold light was real, he leapt down once more.
"What are you doing?" Ah Si asked.
Ye Fei didn’t reply.
Instead, he walked straight to the pit and cleared the scorched earth covering the gold light.
Soon, a golden box was revealed.
A flash of gold, even for Ah Si watching from afar, was startling.
Ye Fei finally understood that the strange Eight Trigrams of Golden Locks formation previously on the ground was most likely meant to guard this treasure.
What sort of treasure was it, to be hidden in such a place?
Ye Fei opened the golden box.
Inside, however, was not some rare jewels or a Cultivation Technique manual.
It was an ordinary-looking black token.
Around the token’s edge were delicately carved ancient patterns, with "Xuantian" written in the center.
Although Ye Fei didn’t know what organization this token belonged to or why it had been buried here,
he was certain that the token was far from ordinary, as it appeared.
So, he tucked the token into his chest and leaped back up onto the platform.
"Did you find something?"
Ah Si asked curiously.
"Nothing much, just a gold box. It’s made of pure gold, sell it off. Consider it a consolation prize for you," said Ye Fei, casually tossing the gold box to Ah Si.
Ah Si looked at it in his hand and, like throwing garbage, cast the gold box aside.
"Psh, as if I care about that money. Who do you think you are looking down upon?"
