Chapter 330: Chapter 330: Evil Collision?_1
On the second day, Ye Fei got up very late.
By the time he got up, his wife had already taken their daughter to school.
Ye Fei washed up briefly, practiced some exercises to recover his energy, and then went to the clinic.
For some reason, when he arrived at the clinic, Bai Yunfei and Zhu Guangbo were also there.
Seeing the two of them, Ye Fei frowned.
"Mr. Ye, you’re here," they said.
Upon seeing Ye Fei, the two men hastily bowed and greeted him.
Ye Fei exchanged a few courtesies with them, then went into the reception room.
Wan Jing followed him in with several medical examination reports in hand.
"Mr. Zhu, Mr. Bai. I have thoroughly examined both of you, and there is nothing wrong at all, apart from slightly high blood sugar and blood pressure; in all other respects, you are very healthy," Wan Jing said.
"Additionally, from the looks of your pulses, you both exercise regularly. Your pulses are quite strong and robust, not at all like you are ill."
"In my opinion, you two must not have been resting well recently. Go back, rest well for a few days, consume some tonics, and I believe those symptoms will no longer occur."
The two men bowed and thanked him, "Thank goodness there’s no problem; we are grateful for your help, Divine Doctor Wan."
"It’s my duty," he replied.
After receiving their medical reports, they said they were busy with other matters and took their leave.
But just as they were about to stand up, Ye Fei raised his hand, "Wait."
"What’s wrong, Mr. Ye? Do you need something?"
Ye Fei looked at them more closely.
This time he saw clearly.
Both of them had sunken eyes, a dark complexion between their eyebrows, and a faint trace of black air in their faces.
This was clearly not as simple as being sick; they had encountered some misfortune.
Ye Fei asked, "In the past couple of days, have you two felt an inexplicable loss of strength, dizziness, listlessness, and that everything is not going well?"
The two nodded in unison, "Exactly! You are absolutely right."
Ye Fei then asked, "And is it that at midnight, you feel like there’s a stone pressing on your chest, so heavy you can’t breathe, even waking you from sleep?"
The two looked at each other, "Mr. Ye, how do you know?"
"Hmm," Ye Fei didn’t answer their question but rather posed a third one, "In the past few days, have you encountered any bloody incidents?"
After thinking briefly, the two of them said, "Well, there was something. Two days ago, while we were inspecting the final stages of work in the Guangheng business district, there was a head-on collision between two cars that resulted in four deaths and seven injuries."
Ye Fei nodded, "That’s correct. To tell you the truth, the discomfort you’re feeling is not due to illness, but most likely because you’ve been hexed."
"Ah?!"
Both men’s eyes widened as they fiercely stared at each other.
Wan Jing’s mouth gaped open to the point where his dentures were visible.
He thought to himself, with Ye Fei’s exquisite medical skills, when did he start believing in these gods and ghosts?
Wan Jing might not believe it, but Zhu Guangbo and Bai Yunfei were very convinced.
The two quickly leaned forward, bowing.
"Exactly! Mr. Ye, your guess coincides with ours!"
Bai Yunfei said, "Ever since we took over the Guangheng business district, all kinds of strange occurrences have been happening around us."
"It’s either long-lost items suddenly reappearing, or feeling as though someone is whispering in your ear."
"At first, I thought it was because I was getting old and my hearing was failing. But then one day, while having tea with Brother Zhu, we both heard the same whispering!"
Zhu Guangbo also quickly added, "Oh Mr. Ye, I used to have a cat that died more than a decade ago."
"But just last night, in the other courtyard, I saw it again! It stared at me so hauntingly, for over a minute, and then it disappeared."
"The strangest thing is, no one else saw it but me."
"Mr. Ye, could these strange occurrences be related to the car accident?"
Ye Fei shook his head, "No, that’s not right. According to the sequence of events, the strange occurrences happened around you first and then the car accident occurred."
"So, both the accident and the strange events are not the cause, but the consequence."
"Then what is the cause?" both men asked anxiously.
"I can’t draw a conclusion at the moment. How about this—I won’t go anywhere today and will follow you instead. Perhaps we might uncover some clues," Ye Fei suggested.
"That would be wonderful!"
"Mr. Ye, it just so happens Bai Brother and I are about to rush to the Guangheng business district to inspect the work situation. You could join us and offer your guidance."
The three men then got into the car and headed towards the new city district.
Upon arriving at the Guangheng business district in the new city area, Ye Fei was truly astonished.
His memory of this place was still stuck on the last visit he made here in his previous life.
Back then, it was all construction sites with unfinished buildings and towering cranes.
Now, the roads were wide, high-rises towered everywhere, and the area was brimming with life and vitality.
No wonder his wife had said that in a few years, this place would become the largest business district in Tianhe.
At least from his current firsthand experience, that statement was not the slightest bit overstated.
At that moment, a secretary whispered something in Zhu Guangbo’s ear.
His eyes suddenly lit up, and he turned to Bai Yunfei, "Brother Bai, the master has arrived!"
Bai Yunfei was also excited, "That’s great!"
Just as Ye Fei was growing curious, Zhu Guangbo came forward to explain, "Since the business district is about to be completed, and with the recent car accident being quite inauspicious."
"We have specially invited a highly respected Feng Shui master from the Bay Area to break the pattern for us, to make things more smooth and prosperous."
