Chapter 265: Chapter 265 He’s Making a Move_1
After the butler left, Ye Fei received a text message from his wife.
His wife asked him to pick up Little Ye from dance class in the evening, as she would be coming home late that night.
Ye Fei knew his wife was already at her wits’ end because of the raw material supplier running out of stock.
So he only replied with one word "Okay".
After bringing his daughter home, father and daughter played for a while, and then Ye Fei tucked her into bed.
Watching his daughter sleep so sweetly, Ye Fei revealed a tender father’s smile.
Unable to resist, he bent down and planted a kiss on her chubby little cheek.
With his daughter asleep, he would practice his cultivation while waiting for his wife to come home.
Time passed, second by second.
When Ye Fei ended his practice and looked at the time, it was already half past nine.
He didn’t end up waiting for his wife to come home, but instead, a phone call arrived.
"Ye Bro! It’s not good, President Su fainted at the company!"
Ye Fei felt his heart skip a beat.
"Then why are you calling me, hurry up and call an ambulance!"
Ye Fei didn’t even realize how his voice had sharply changed, emitting an almost roar-like sound.
The secretary on the other end was completely shocked by his response.
"Ye, Ye Bro, the, the call was already made. I am accompanying President Su in the ambulance..."
Ye Fei calmed down immediately, realizing he had been too harsh, and quickly apologized, "I’m sorry, Xiao Ma, I was too anxious. Do this, direct the ambulance to my clinic."
"Then quickly send two people to my house to help me look after the child. Got it?"
"Understood, I’ll get on it right away."
After hanging up, Ye Fei felt an intense sense of urgency.
Though he knew that Wan Jing was on duty at the clinic tonight, and having him there was safer than any other doctor,
yet even so, out of sight, out of mind; when one is concerned, one is in disarray.
Ye Fei still couldn’t rest easy; he had to personally see his wife’s condition.
The efficiency of the secretary was very high, and in less than ten minutes, two female employees from the company arrived at his home.
Ye Fei recognized both of them as Su Yueru’s right-hand women.
Moreover, Ye Fei had secretly investigated their backgrounds and wholly trusted them.
Even so, Ye Fei still couldn’t be 100 percent at ease.
After all, he didn’t know whether his wife had fallen ill or if she had been the victim of foul play.
If it was the latter, would the enemy use this as a diversion to strike at his daughter?
Concerned about this, Ye Fei made a call to Wang Jianglong.
Upon hearing the news, without further ado, Wang Jianglong himself came to ensure his niece’s safety.
With Wang Jianglong present, Ye Fei had no worries and rushed to the clinic.
By the time he arrived, Su Yueru had already regained consciousness, lying on the bed with a frighteningly pale face, looking extremely weak.
Seeing Ye Fei arriving in such a rush, Su Yueru smiled apologetically.
She just wanted to speak, but Ye Fei interrupted her.
"Don’t worry, Little Ye is being taken care of, it’s all fine."
Hearing these words, Su Yueru weakly nodded her head.
Wan Jing spoke up to reassure, "Mr. Ye, there is no need to worry. I have already performed a comprehensive examination on Mrs. Ye. She has no other issues aside from being under too much stress and lacking rest."
"As long as she calms down and recuperates properly for a period of time, she will fully recover."
"Thank you, Divine Doctor Wan."
Ye Fei nodded in acknowledgment.
Approaching his wife, he gently brushed aside the strands of hair on her forehead, his heart bleeding with tenderness.
The Divine Doctor aptly had everyone else leave the room to give them privacy.
Su Yueru felt for her husband as well.
She began, trying to smile, "Divine Doctor Wan already said it’s nothing serious, don’t worry. It’s my fault for focusing solely on work lately, neglecting my health, and even more so, neglecting you and our daughter, making you worry."
"No, it’s my fault for not taking better care of you," said Ye Fei.
In fact, Ye Fei had been taking very good care of his wife. Saying this now, he meant something else.
Ye Fei blamed himself internally.
What about because his wife was strong, he should let her bear the pressure?
How is that showing respect for her?
Such self-righteous thoughts, truly foolish!
Men exist to protect women!
If one cannot even manage the simple task of protecting his own woman,
what kind of man is he?
"Fool, you’ve taken great care of me already. Marrying you was the wisest decision I’ve ever made in my life," Su Yueru said with a weak smile.
The more she said this, the more Ye Fei felt guilty.
"Okay. Listen to Divine Doctor Wan. Don’t worry about the company for now, just focus on getting better," he said.
Su Yueru frowned slightly, "How can I do that? The company’s hundreds of employees are relying on me. How can I hide here and slack off at a critical time?"
"The company is facing its toughest moment. The supplier won’t provide stock; the cash flow is severely broken; grandfather and the uncles are lying in wait. If I cannot overcome this, everything will be reset to square one."
As she spoke, Su Yueru struggled, attempting to get up and return to work.
Ye Fei forcefully held her down.
He looked at her intensely for a moment.
"Wife, you must listen to your husband. Rest well right here, and don’t go anywhere! Not until you’ve recovered! I will take care of the company’s issues. Trust me!" he declared.
"But..."
Su Yueru admitted that her husband was very impressive in the field of medicine and knew quite a few influential people.
But company management wasn’t something that could be handled just by knowing people in the arts sector.
It required a wealth of management experience and strong professional skills.
And her husband lacked both...
Su Yueru was about to express her concerns when Ye Fei silenced her with a commanding look meant to halt any further protest.
"Trust me, wife. You must understand one thing: without good health, everything else is equal to zero. Trust me, I will not let you down!" he exhorted.
Looking into her husband’s determined eyes filled with masculinity and understanding the rationale behind his words,
Su Yueru finally relented with a weak nod, "Then, okay."
