Chapter 252: Chapter 252: Bear Child_1
In the evening, Ye Fei made dinner for his daughter, accompanied her with her homework, told her a story, and coaxed her to sleep.
Glancing at the clock, it was already eleven o’clock at night.
His wife’s company had run into some trouble recently, and she had been coming home late for the past few days.
But eleven o’clock was indeed a bit too late.
Ye Fei called, but no one answered, and with Little Ye at home, he couldn’t leave.
Just as he was getting anxious, his wife came back.
She looked utterly exhausted, which made Ye Fei feel tremendously sorry for her.
"You haven’t eaten yet, have you? I saved some food for you, have a bite," he said as he massaged his wife’s shoulders.
"I’m not hungry, I don’t have an appetite!" Su Yueru looked very upset.
Ye Fei tentatively asked, "What exactly is the trouble at the company? Why don’t you tell me about it? Your husband could help share your worries and solve your problems, right?"
Su Yueru leaned her face against Ye Fei’s hand and pouted, "It’s nothing much, it’s just that the long-term material suppliers we’ve been working with suddenly stopped supplying us at the same time."
"Now the production line is in a critical situation, and if we can’t find new material suppliers soon, we won’t be able to complete the company orders on time. According to the contract, we will have to pay threefold in compensation."
"You know the company’s current situation; we simply cannot afford such a compensation."
After a moment of reflection Ye Fei said, "Aren’t those suppliers we’ve been working with for many years? Why would they suddenly create trouble together—there must be something fishy, right?"
"Of course there’s something fishy. We just don’t know who is behind this mess," admitted Su Yueru with a sense of helplessness.
"Could it be Old Man Su again?"
"That shouldn’t be the case. How long has it been since the last lesson? Grandpa wouldn’t be so hopeless."
"Who knows? That old man is capable of any shameless deed."
Seeing Ye Fei in deep thought, Su Yueru playfully bit his arm.
"You’re not allowed to help me this time, okay? I need to learn to face these challenges on my own. I can’t always rely on you; otherwise, when will I be able to stand on my own?"
"Alright, alright, your husband promises you. Who makes my wife the most determined?"
Ye Fei tickled Su Yueru’s cute nose and then scooped her up in a princess carry, insisting on taking her to the kitchen to eat.
The next morning, Su Yueru rushed to the company early.
As agreed, Ye Fei took his daughter to Naughty Castle in Fantasy Kingdom.
As it was the weekend and the store had just opened, there were particularly many children at Naughty Castle.
But children never mind crowds; the more lively it is, the wilder they play.
After buying the ticket, Little Ye dashed excitedly into Naughty Castle.
Little Ye, who was naturally adorable like a doll and liked by everyone, coupled with her good nature, quickly made several friends of similar age.
Together, they played hide and seek, train tag, and chased each other around, having a fantastic time.
Children are the little angels given to parents by God. When the little angels are having fun in Naughty Castle, the parents feel more content outside.
Even because the children became friends, the parents also got to know each other and struck up enjoyable conversations.
Seeing his daughter playing and sweating, Ye Fei knew she would be thirsty soon, so he went outside to buy her some water.
However, in less than two minutes, an accident happened.
The Naughty Castle in Fantasy Kingdom was divided into two areas.
One area was designated for older children to play in, while the other was for those under five.
Little Ye was in the latter area.
However, there were always exceptions; a few older kids could still be found in the area for younger ones.
But for the most part, they all played harmoniously together, without any issues.
There was just one boy who looked to be about seven or eight years old, chubby and round, who was very hostile and overbearing.
He often bullied the other kids and seemed to take pleasure in it.
After a while, everyone started to avoid him, and no one wanted to play with him.
In contrast, Little Ye, with her adorable appearance and winning personality, quickly attracted a large group of playmates.
Under her leadership, they formed a small group and began playing house.
Little Ye acted as the mother, and another boy, the handsomest in the group, was appointed by her to play the father.
The other children took on the roles of sons and daughters, or even the family’s pets.
A group of children played peacefully and happily together.
This made the isolated chubby boy very discontented.
He kept trying to find ways to disrupt the others’ games.
Most kids were timid and didn’t dare to speak up when bullied by someone bigger.
But Little Ye was different, fearless and overflowing with a sense of justice.
If someone was being bullied, she was sure to be the first to step in and help.
This made Little Ye a thorn in the chubby boy’s side.
Just then, Ye Fei had gone out to buy water, and the chubby boy took the opportunity to provoke again.
He went up and snatched a toy from a little boy; when the boy resisted, the bully pushed him over.
The boy cried out, and his parents hurried over to check and ended up in an argument with the bully’s parents.
"Can’t you control your child? Why is he always bullying others?"
The bully’s parent was quite self-assured.
"If your child is so incapable, why not let him fight back? If he can make my child cry, I won’t even let out a fart," they said with a boastful air, patting their son as if in encouragement.
"That’s my good boy! As my son, you should only be the bully, never the bullied, understand?"
Seeing this person’s aggressive demeanor and poor character, many parents worried for their own children’s safety and led them away to play elsewhere.
Encouraged by this, the bully became even more brazen, and he went up to snatch the magic wand from Little Ye’s hand. When she resisted, he punched her on the head, causing Little Ye to fall to the ground.
Stubborn as ever, Little Ye knew she was outmatched but still insisted on standing her ground.
The bully had held back for too long and had no interest in reasoning with her, instead pushing her over once more.
The other children were all too scared to fight back.
Instead of calming his child, the burly man sneered and laughed boisterously, "That’s my boy! Full of guts!"
But Little Ye was not one to back down; she gritted her teeth and charged with all her might.
The bully didn’t steady himself in time and fell, hitting his head and forming a large bump, which made him cry out in pain.
The burly man instantly lost his temper, howling as he leapt up, and with leather shoes on, he charged into the play castle, grabbed Little Ye, and raised his hand to strike her.
