The drive back to Hugo’s dorm was anything but calm.
Between the sugar rush from the ice cream and the thrill of the unexpected sleepover invitation, Hugo was practically bouncing in his seat.
He was gripping the steering wheel with one hand while the other occasionally reached for his ice cream cone, licking it with a mix of satisfaction and glee.
Oh, yes. This was it. This was the night. He could feel it in his bones. Something big was going to happen!
He didn’t know what exactly, but he had a very strong feeling that he might—just might—make a home run tonight!
With Loli!
Such glory!
He stole a glance at Loli, who was sitting beside him, completely unaware of the dangerous levels of excitement running through his mind.
She was focused on her own ice cream, her tongue flicking over the scoop in a way that was far too distracting for someone who was supposed to be an innocent angel.
Hugo quickly forced himself to look at the road before he crashed them into a tree.
Loli suddenly reached over and tapped his arm. "Hey, what are you grinning like that for?"
Hugo immediately schooled his expression into something more neutral. "Huh? Me? Grinning? No way. I’m just… enjoying my ice cream."
Loli narrowed her eyes at him, unconvinced. "Uh-huh. You look like a villain plotting something evil."
’That’s because I am plotting something evil!’ Hugo screamed in his head. ’A very romantic, potentially sinful evil!’
But outwardly, he just shrugged. "I’m just thinking about how amazing this night is going to be. A sleepover with my beautiful girlfriend? Couldn’t ask for anything better."
Loli gave a pleased little smile at the word girlfriend and took another bite of her ice cream.
But then, with a glint of mischief in her eyes, she suddenly reached over and swiped a big chunk of Hugo’s ice cream with her finger, then popped it into her mouth with an evil smirk.
Hugo gasped, eyes wide with horror. "Oh. My. God."
Loli licked her lips innocently. "What?"
"You... you monster! You thief!" Hugo clutched his ice cream cone as if it was his most prized possession.
"That was a criminal offense. Do you realize what you’ve done?! That was precious chocolate real estate you just stole!"
Loli burst out laughing. "Real estate? You’re acting like I took your entire fortune!"
"That was my fortune!" Hugo lamented dramatically. "You don’t just steal a man’s ice cream and expect him to be fine!"
Loli giggled, clearly enjoying his exaggerated suffering. "Okay, okay, I’ll make it up to you."
Then, before Hugo could react, she leaned over and booped her ice cream against his lips, smearing some of it there.
Hugo froze, blinking in disbelief.
Loli grinned. "There. Now we’re even."
Oh, she was playing with fire. Hugo let out a slow exhale, his mind racing with evil ideas. "Oh, Loli… You really shouldn’t have done that."
Loli’s laughter immediately turned nervous. "W-Wait. Hugo—"
But before she could escape, Hugo attacked—leaning over and rubbing his ice-cream-covered lips all over her cheek, making sure to leave a cold, sticky mess behind.
"AHHHH, YOU—YOU IDIOT!" Loli shrieked, squirming away and smacking his arm while laughing.
Hugo pulled back, looking far too smug. "Now we’re even."
Loli wiped at her cheek, glaring at him. "You’re so lucky I like you."
Hugo just smirked. Yes, yes I am.
By the time they reached his dorm, Hugo could barely sit still. The moment he parked, he leaped out of the car, practically sprinting toward the entrance while yelling, "I’ll be back in five minutes!"
Loli rolled her eyes but laughed. "Don’t take too long, lover boy."
Hugo flew up the stairs, already listing everything he needed to pack in his head.
Clothes, toothbrush, charger, cologne, oh, and of course, the SECRET WEAPONS. He reached his dorm room, swung open the door only to find that Collins wasn’t there.
Perfect.
He went straight for his closet, grabbing the essentials and stuffing them into a small duffel bag. But then, his eyes landed on two very important items.
The Divine Sight Glasses. And a pack of condoms.
Hugo stared at them for a moment before grinning. "You two… are coming with me." He snatched them up, stuffing them into the bag with the swiftness of a master strategist.
Tonight… tonight was going to be CRAZY!
Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly skidded to a stop and snapped his fingers. "Wait a minute…"
His eyes darted toward a small box wrapped in pink paper sitting on his desk.
Of course, he hadn’t forgotten! Loli’s birthday was literally tomorrow!
And now that he was sleeping over, he would be able to be the first person to wish her and give her a gift right at midnight. It had cost him a painful amount of money, but it was worth it.
Hugo grabbed the box, gently tucking it into his bag before heading back downstairs.
But the moment he reached the car, his soul nearly left his body.
Loli… was holding his phone!
Mayday! Mayday!
OH. NO.
Panic slammed into Hugo’s chest so hard he almost dropped his bag. His mind instantly exploded with chaos.
’WHAT IS SHE DOING WITH MY PHONE?! OH GOD, WHAT IF SHE SEES MY SECRETS?! MY OTHER CHATS?! MY ENTIRE REPUTATION COULD GO UP IN FLAMES!’
But then, blessed salvation, he remembered. THE PASSWORD!
A wave of relief crashed over him. Thank every deity in existence, he had a strong password. His secrets were safe!
His password was 18 characters, afterall!

Loli sighed dramatically. "Ugh, you have a password. I can’t even snoop."
Hugo slid into the driver’s seat, trying to act casual while his entire nervous system was still recovering. "Yeah. Because privacy is important."
Loli gave him a knowing smirk. "Uh-huh. Or maybe you just have something to hide."
Hugo coughed. "Ridiculous."
Loli pouted, leaning closer. "Come on, Hugo. We’re dating now. Don’t couples share passwords?"
Hugo immediately shook his head. "Nope. That’s a trap."
Loli gasped. "A trap?!"
"Yes." Hugo nodded seriously. "Because if I give you my password, you might start checking my phone whenever you want. And if that happens, one day, I might forget to delete something suspicious."
Loli’s eyes narrowed. "So there is something to hide."
"No!" Hugo backtracked. "I mean—"
Loli grinned. "Uh-huh. Suspicious."
Hugo groaned, starting the car. "We’re leaving."
He had slipped up!
Mayday!
