Chapter 1111: Chapter 1110: Monster

This is a ground-walking creature, quite clustered in body shape, and relatively short with a long tail trailing behind.

Ba Lv had never seen such creatures before; perhaps they are unique to this planet.

Just as Ba Lv was observing these creatures and making a basic assessment based on their appearance, the creatures launched an attack on her.

One creature attacked her first, curling its body into a spherical shape and rolling towards her at an extremely fast speed.

Although Ba Lv drew out the short blade given to her by the Mermaid Leader, she did not attack this creature, knowing that the best course was not to provoke these unknown creatures.

When the creature rolled up to her, its rolling stance was quite intimidating.

Ba Lv was not overconfident; this was a habit she had cultivated during her time as an assassin—never underestimating her opponent, which was one of the reasons she had survived until now.

Ba Lv swiftly leapt up, and with a light touch from her toes on the creature’s body, dodged its attack.

Just as Ba Lv landed lightly, a whistling sound came from behind her.

Without turning her head, Ba Lv deftly shifted her position, the creature’s tail harshly striking the ground next to her.

Simultaneously, all the creatures attacked her together.

The sound of their bodies scraping across the ground continuously echoed around her.

Ba Lv dodged incessantly among the creatures, her toes lightly tapping on the creatures’ bodies, her figure gracefully hurdling over them.

When Ba Lv was having a snowball fight with Yanran, she accidentally fell into a giant snow cave. The environment inside the cave was a complete contrast to the planet’s surface; it was not as cold as outside, and there were even some green plants growing.

Just as Ba Lv embraced the philosophy of taking things as they come and preparing to explore the green plants, several unknown creatures attacked her.

A few minutes later, Ba Lv figured out their attack patterns; besides curling into a big round ball to crash into her, or flailing their tails wildly, they had no other methods.

Now it was Ba Lv’s turn to counterattack.

The sharp short sword in her hand kept slicing across the creatures’ bodies, making them howl every time.

Ba Lv paused, surveying her surroundings while all the previously aggressive creatures lay dead around her.

Ba Lv looked contentedly at the short sword in her hand; forged with advanced technology, it truly was a fine weapon.

When Jiang Cheng saw this short sword, he advised Ba Lv to abandon her twin blades.

Jiang Cheng told Ba Lv that even if it meant learning new sword techniques, it was worth it for this short sword.

He had seen many well-known and obscure cold weapons, but the short sword in Ba Lv’s hand was one of the sharpest he’d encountered.

Ba Lv trusted Jiang Cheng’s words and abandoned her twin blades, re-learning swordsmanship under Jiang Cheng’s guidance.

Fortunately, there wasn’t much difference between a short sword and a short blade, so Ba Lv quickly mastered the swordsmanship she had just learned.

Jiang Cheng’s combat skills were unparalleled; he tailored the swordsmanship specifically for Ba Lv, to highlight her advantages and compensate for her lack of strength and endurance by focusing on "sinister," "swift," and similar aspects.

There were no complicated moves, but rather attacks based on the opponent’s weaknesses. This was what Ba Lv preferred, so she learned quickly.

While dealing with the creatures, she had just applied the sword techniques she had recently acquired, achieving instant results.

As Ba Lv was preparing to leave the pile of creature corpses, something caught the corner of her eye.

She turned around, noticing a shiny object in the belly of one of the corpses she had cut open.

Curious, Ba Lv approached the corpse and gently used her short sword to reveal a crystal gleaming with a blue light on the sword tip.

This looked like a gemstone, and though she wasn’t sure of its use, Ba Lv decided to keep it instead of discarding it.

She decided it would be best to take these items back to show her teacher.

Ba Lv soon found similar crystals inside the bodies of every creature she had slain.

She collected all the crystals they contained.

Looking at the opening above her head, she wondered why Yanran hadn’t come to find her yet.

Could it be that she hadn’t discovered her hiding place yet?

At this thought, Ba Lv couldn’t help but smile triumphantly.

Even a genius like Yanran had areas where she fell short; how could Ba Lv not feel proud?

Thump, thump, thump—the cave’s depth echoed with heavy footsteps, indicating that although the creature hadn’t shown itself, its size was undoubtedly massive.

Ba Lv had no time to ponder; she quickly scanned her surroundings, searching for a place to hide.

Just as she concealed herself behind a bush, a gigantic, bear-like monster entered her view.

Ba Lv held her breath, quietly watching the enormous creature.

The creature didn’t notice Ba Lv, as its attention was fully captured by the fresh corpses.

Clearly, the creature had been drawn by the scent of blood emanating from the bodies.

The monster ignored everything else as it approached the corpses, opening its maw to devour the feast before it.

After taking only a few bites, another creature appeared beside the corpses.

This one resembled a lizard, elongated, with fleshy protrusions along its back extending to its tail.

The first monster paused its meal, emitting a threatening roar.

However, Ba Lv could tell that the first monster was somewhat intimidated by the new arrival.

The skeletal monster ignored the first creature’s roar, confidently moving to the pile of corpses and starting to feast heedlessly.

Retreating reluctantly to the side, the first monster seemed unwilling to compete with the newcomer for food, but couldn’t bring itself to leave, circling the corpses instead.

Ba Lv watched silently from her hiding spot, observing this rare spectacle.

The way the skeletal creature consumed its food surprised Ba Lv.

It used sharp teeth to puncture a small hole in the bodies, inserting its pointed snout and without any visible chewing, watched as the corpses quickly deflated, leaving only bones and pelts.

This horrifying feeding method was a first for Ba Lv, and she knew this monster would be difficult to deal with, so she remained completely still.

Though the skeletal creature’s body wasn’t large, its appetite was immense; having drained one body, it crawled to another to continue its feast.
