Chapter 1081: Chapter 1080: Extinguished

His complexion was pale. If he didn’t have sufficient willpower, he might have slumped to the ground by now.

The old master glanced at the adjutant, who nodded in response.

"Assistants!" the adjutant called out, and two locals rushed in.

"Arrest this man," he ordered, "Don’t bother him before the interrogation. He can have some limited freedom for now."

The attendees were buzzing with discussions; they knew Dalken brothers were in legal trouble this time. However, Dalken’s younger brother was a participant in the conference and a decision-maker in the civilian spaceship program. Originally, the plan had a bright future, much anticipated by many, but with this incident, who knows how it’ll end?

By the time Yanran and Shang Lv arrived, Jiang Cheng had already been waiting beside the spaceship for quite a while.

"Why just arrive now?" Jiang Cheng was a bit displeased.

He knew that his two disciples weren’t usually procrastinators.

Yanran and Fan Lv smiled apologetically; they didn’t explain the reason for their lateness.

Then, Jiang Cheng noticed the two boxes they carried.

"What are those? Is there anything you still need to buy now?" he asked curiously.

If not for a small accident earlier, they’d be well on their journey by now.

Besides, his two female disciples weren’t the kind to admire shopping like ordinary girls.

Looking at the boxes in their hands, there must be quite a few things inside.

Ba Lv glanced at Yanran, who smiled and said, "These are gifts from our teammates."

"Oh?" Jiang Cheng was truly surprised, "I heard you taught them a lesson. They actually gifted you?"

Yanran and Ba Lv both laughed.

Jiang Cheng shook his head and boarded the spaceship, "Nonsense!"

After the three were ready, Ba Lv activated the spacecraft. In the blink of an eye, the spaceship shot into outer space.

What they couldn’t see was, on a certain corner of the planet, a young man stood there in a daze.

Behind him were two middle-aged men.

"Go back, child," the older Dalken said.

His brother was now in disguise, having temporarily been relieved of his duties. Although he wasn’t imprisoned, his freedom was limited.

Lord Dalken just received word that the three extraterrestrial beings had left.

He secretly felt fortunate. Had it not been for his foresight and comprehensive considerations, would they still be standing here safely?

When staff showed him video footage of the chaotic state of his mansion, he felt a deep sense of dread.

If he hadn’t been cautious and hid his son in time, who knows what the enraged extraterrestrial man might have done? He dared not even imagine.

Jiang Cheng and they resumed their journey. Their ship "Yanran and Ba Lv" continued cruising through space.

"Teacher, what’s our target planet this time?" Ba Lv asked.

"This time we will fly for a long period, provided we have enough fuel," Jiang Cheng replied. "And yes, although we’ll pass by several small planets, unless necessary, we won’t stop at them."

As he spoke, he handed the star map in his hand to Ba Lv. When Ba Lv saw the planet Jiang Cheng pointed out, she couldn’t help but exclaim.

Her loud voice even startled the Flaming Firebird from its sleep.

"You’re not joking, right, Teacher? Are we really flying that far?" Ba Lvluo asked in disbelief, pointing at Jiang Cheng. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"Far?" Jiang Cheng replied ambiguously.

"Of course! Look," Ba Lv pointed at their path, "Just check the distance, won’t you? Teacher, are you planning to murder your poor students this way?"

"Making me fly this far non-stop will drive me insane!" Ba Lv said miserably, looking at Jiang Cheng.

"You’re not flying alone, aren’t you? There’s Yanran and me," Jiang Cheng said, "We’ll rotate responsibilities, making it much easier."

"It’s all the same," Ba Lvluo pouted, persisting with her complaints: "Waking up to fly the spaceship, then sleeping later, day in and day out. It can truly drive me crazy."

Jiang Cheng laughed, "How could it be like that every day? In your spare time from piloting, you can choose to cultivate your Spiritual Power. I’ve prepared a plan for you, so you don’t waste time during the journey."

He pointed beside him and said, "Look."

Ba Lv didn’t need to look to know what her teacher indicated.

Her senior apprentice had been meditating at her seat for a long time.

"Teacher," Ba Lv still wanted to say something but glanced at Jiang Cheng’s expression and wisely kept silent.

She knew, though her teacher usually laughed and joked with them, and even sometimes played along, when it came to cultivation matters, once he made a decision, it was firm.

Glancing at his disciple’s expression, Jiang Cheng hesitated a moment but then spoke, "If you diligently cultivate every day, I might consider letting you play on a suitable planet."

"Really?" Ba Lv became excited, realizing that though cultivation was essential, getting some extra benefits wasn’t unwelcome.

"Of course, have I ever lied to you?" Jiang Cheng said.

"Deal!" Ba Lv turned back earnestly, focusing on piloting the ship.

Jiang Cheng observed Yanran, who was meditating, listened attentively to her barely audible breathing, and nodded with satisfaction before leaving the cockpit.

The further they flew toward the edge of the star system, the fewer spacecraft passed by. Aside from small asteroids that occasionally streak past their ship, nothing else existed. This made Ba Lv feel increasingly bored.

In their previous journeys, at least a few foolhardy youngsters would race with them. Though their skills were lacking, it was somewhat entertaining.

Ba Lv watched listlessly outside the window, now seeing nothing alive anywhere around.

"Phew," Yanran exhaled deeply upon waking from her meditation.

After a moment of stillness, she looked down at her body, confirming her earlier thoughts; the tiny Spiritual Power in her abdomen had grown significantly.

If her original Spiritual Power was like a small flame, it had now transformed into a tiny fireball.

Though not yet powerful, ordinary storms couldn’t extinguish it now.

Simultaneously, Yanran clearly noticed her internal Spiritual Power flowing faster than before, providing more energy.

With her mind’s command, all her energy could immediately mobilize, offering her tremendous strength.
