Chapter 148: Her Skin (Bit Sensual)
No One’s POV
Dominic leaned down lower, inhaling the fresh, clean scent of the shower gel on her skin. Yet, even that couldn’t hide the intoxicatingly sweet natural fragrance of her body. Unable to resist the temptation any longer, he pressed his lips to her collarbone and slowly licked up the sensitive skin of her neck.
Vivien let out a low, uncomfortable groan in her deep sleep. She instinctively tried to shift away and turn onto her side, but Dominic’s hand shot out instantly. He caught both of her slender wrists in a firm grip, pinning them over her head and completely caging her beneath his heavy frame.
He continued to track his tongue along the column of her throat, nibbling on the soft skin with just enough pressure to make her stir, but gently enough to ensure it wouldn’t leave a visible mark.
Deep within her drug slumber, Vivien’s mind was twisting into a chaotic dream. She dreamed she was standing in a bright field, and a massive, fluffy dog suddenly jumped on her, happily licking her face and neck as she laughed and played with it. But within seconds, the dream turned dark. The sky went pitch black, and the playful dog in her arms suddenly shifted into a giant scary anaconda that began to wrap itself tightly around her chest, trying to devour her whole.
Dominic could feel the heat inside his own body rising to a fever pitch. She was like a literal drug to him, completely overriding his usual calculated control.
His dark gaze drifted up to her plump, slightly parted lips. Leaning down, he pressed his mouth against hers, deeply savoring her taste. It was incredibly sweet, exactly like the taste he had tasted on her bedroom before. To him, she was a dangerous dessert he craved every single second of the day.
For who knows how long, he completely lost himself in the kiss, consuming her breath and tasting her lips until they were visibly swollen and red.
When he finally pulled back, he looked down at her completely flushed, breathless face. A dark happiness washed over him, and a slow smirk appeared on his cold features, making his handsome face look entirely striking.
He wished more than anything that he could sink his teeth into her skin and leave dark marks all over her, so everyone in the world would instantly know exactly who she belonged to- especially that Enzo kid. At the thought of Enzo, Dominic’s eyes flashed with a murderous, icy glare. He was definitely going to deal with that bastard very soon.
Suddenly, his gaze wandered down to her slender, delicate fingers resting against the mattress. They looked so incredibly soft. His mind drifted to an unbidden, highly explicit thought of how she could use those hands on him, and a sudden blush crept up the tips of his ears.
Soon he touched her soft hand feeling the warmth of them then slowly guiding them on his bare chest. The sudden touch sent a jolt of electricity inside him. His eyes became bloodshot as he slowly guided them lower and lower.
Letting out a ragged breath, the mattress dripped slightly as Dominic finally shifted his weight and laid down right beside her. He wrapped his strong arms around her waist, easily sliding her limp body toward him until she was completely buried against his broad chest. Holding her tightly in a possessive embrace, he finally closed his eyes and let sleep take him.
His member still throbbing even though it got the attention it needed.

Vivien’s eyes shot open. The massive bed was completely empty, and when she tried to sit up, she let out a massive yawn. For some strange reason, her entire body felt unusually sore and heavy. And there it was again- that weird, itchy, slightly tingly sensation on her lips.
"Why do I always wake up with this feeling on my mouth?" she muttered, rubbing her face in frustration. "Am I allergic to the fabric softener or something? Seriously, I need to visit a doctor."
She slid out of bed and walked over to the bathroom. Looking in the mirror, she noticed the skin around her neck was flushed and red. Great. I must have scratched myself crazy while having that nightmare about the snake, she thought. But as she turned on the faucet to wash her face, her eyes fell on her wrists. They were distinctly red and felt slightly numb.
Confusion and a sudden chill rushed through her. "Huh? What on earth was happening to her in her sleep?" She oddly remember wrapping her hands around the giant anaconda before it could eat her alive!
Before she could spiral into overthinking, her phone loudly buzzed. She rushed over and picked it up. The moment her eyes hit the clock, her heart dropped into her stomach.
It was incredibly late. She had completely overslept, and her morning lecture was starting in less than thirty minutes!
"Shit! How did I end up sleeping this late?!" she panicked, grabbing her bag. "I have a major class today! And wait- this isn’t even my apartment!"
A terrifying image of Dominic standing at the bottom of the stairs with his arms crossed, checking his watch and preparing to fire her into the sun, flashed in her mind. "Shit, shit, shit! The grumpy suit is going to absolutely murder me!"
She sprinted out of the guest room, flying down the grand staircase ready to beg for her life. But when she reached the main floor, the vast penthouse was dead silent. Dominic was nowhere to be seen. The house was entirely empty, save for the dining table, where a freshly prepared, steaming hot breakfast was neatly laid out.
She blinked in disbelief. Did he seriously just leave her alone in his multi-million dollar home? Isn’t this man a paranoid billionaire? Is he not even slightly worried that I might rob him blind?
She cautiously walked over to the table. The delicious aroma of the food hit her nose, making her stomach growl. Vivien hesitated for a few seconds, looking around for hidden cameras, but the hunger won. She pulled out a chair and took a quick bite.
"Umm... wow, this is so good," she mumbled, her eyes lighting up.
But as she chewed, a bizarre familiar taste spread across her tongue. This reminded her vividly of someone else’s cooking.
She froze.
She remembered. When Dante had kidnap her, he didn’t let the servants touch her food. He had personally cooked for her in his estate and oddly the food tasted quite familiar to his!
A sudden uneasiness washed over Vivien. Her fork clattered against the plate. The food instantly lost all its flavor, and she completely lost her appetite. Shaking the terrifying thought out of her head, she grabbed her bag and bolted out the front door.
Down at the estate’s main security gates, the guards watched the young girl practically sprint out of the mansion. Their jaws dropped to the floor.
This was the exact same girl the boss had brought home the other day! And now she’s leaving in the morning... which means she stayed the entire night locked inside with him?!The guards exchanged a terrified looks. What on earth was going on with their historically cold, woman-hating boss?
However, no sooner had Vivien vanished around the corner of the private street than another luxury vehicle pulled up to the gates. The back door opened, and an elegant figure stepped into view.
The guards instantly stiffened, a cold sweat breaking out across their necks. They quickly bowed their heads in absolute terror and deep respect.
"Madam!" they greeted in unison.
Dominic’s mother looked up, her elegant eyes narrowing slightly at the guards as she adjusted her sunglasses.
"Madam, the boss isn’t home at the moment..." one of the head security guards stammered, shifting uncomfortably under her piercing gaze.
"So what?" she replied, her voice smooth but held an unyielding authority. "Am I forbidden from visiting my own son’s house just because he isn’t here?"
The guards instantly shut their mouths, bowing their heads, and hurriedly stepped aside to let her enter the penthouse.
She stepped gracefully. As expected, Dominic’s home was cold and perfectly organized- not a single item was out of place. It reflected his unbothered personality completely. She signed softly. Just when her lonely-ass son going to settle down?!
But as she walked deeper into the dining area, something entirely unexpected caught her eye. Sitting right on the kitchen counter was a glass. And on the rim of that glass was a faint smear of a girl’s lip balm.
Her eyes widened in absolute shock. She stepped closer, staring at the glass.
"Is this actually real?!" she whispered to herself, her heart skipping a beat.
She immediately turned around and called the guards inside. "Has your boss brought any girl here recently... apart from Amelia?"
The guards looked at each other nervously, knowing Dominic’s strict rules about privacy, but they didn’t dare lie to his mother.
They slowly nodded their heads.
An incredibly bright, joyful smile instantly broke across her elegant face. The cold demeanor she usually carried completely vanished. So it’s true! She wasn’t just imagining things. She was actually going to have a daughter-in-law! Her notoriously ice-cold, workahollic son had finally brought a woman home to stay the night.
"Oh my god..." she breathed, clutching her hands together. She couldn’t wait a single second to meet the girl who had successfully melted her son’s frozen heart.
Suddenly, a brilliant, mischievous plan flashed through her mind. A matching Valente smirk appeared on her lips, making her look just as scheming as Dominic.
"I will be meeting you very soon, my dear daughter-in-law," she murmured happily, already pulling out her phone to track down exactly who this mysterious girl was.
Dominic stood directly in front of a small convenience store. It was the exact same store where Vivien used to work.
He looked down at the book. His eyes narrowed. Indeed, this was the exact location that the book has mentioned. This place was supposed to be the place Isekaid Vivien worked in.
The middle-aged woman who owned the shop was already present inside. The moment she watched the tall, powerful billionaire enter her small store, her eyes widened, and she hurriedly bowed her head in deep respect.
"Mr. Valente! It is an absolute pleasure to see you here once again..." she said, offering him a warm, polite smile.
Dominic stopped in his tracks. He slowly raised an eyebrow, his icy gaze locking onto the woman’s face.
"Once again?" he repeated coldly.
