Chapter 876: Sky Serpent Nest

Jason looked around, and he couldn’t help but be impressed by what he saw. The entire dungeon was a massive island in the sky. The superhumans had appeared at one end of the island, and Jason couldn’t even see the other end of the island, so Jason was sure that it was large enough to be an entire country on Earth! There were so many different regions on the island! From his place in the sky, Jason could only see an area that looked like the Amazon forest, but outside of Jason’s line of sight, there was another region that was covered in miles of water! There were mountains and plateaus covering another area, and a wilderness stretching out to the horizon in another area!

Down in the forest he appeared in, Jason could see giant beasts floating through the air! The beasts were long and flexible, and they flew without wings like Chinese dragons. But rather than dragon heads, the monsters had heads that looked similar to large Anacondas. There were also other monsters in this region, but the giant serpents were obviously the main predators. Each serpent was at least two hundred meters long, and they were flexible enough to weave through the trees without any issues. Once the superhumans appeared from the Gate, all the serpents in the area turned their attention towards them, and Jason could feel the pressure in the area growing rapidly as the serpents hissed at them angrily!

The superhumans all grunted again as the pressure increased, and Jason put his hand out to activate a skill to get rid of the serpents, but before Jason could do that, another notification appeared in the system!

[The user has been targeted by a high-level Runic Sequence]

[The user and his group will now be transported to a random area within the dungeon.]

’What!?’

Jason exclaimed in shock once he read the system message, and Jason looked around to see that every single superhuman behind him had magical circles surrounding them! Jason quickly shouted for everyone to move, but it was already too late, and Jason could only watch as the superhumans were teleported without warning!

’Gina! Are you there!?’

The first person Jason called out to was Gina, and Gina responded immediately that she was fine. But she had no idea where she was! Gina was currently standing in a muddy area that looked like some sort of marsh. Gina’s feet were planted knee deep in mud, and there were massive trees blocking out the sun above her and drowning the region in darkness. From the pressure surrounding her, Gina could tell that there were multiple beasts watching from the darkness. Thankfully, Gina had been transported here with multiple Legion subordinates that surrounded her protectively, so Gina knew she would have backup if she got overwhelmed! Gina called on the wind, and she readied herself for a fight while telling Jason that she would find her way back to him!

’I’ll send you reinforcements. Be careful.’

Jason only said this before he closed the mental link, and Jason turned his attention towards another team member. Stella had also been teleported to a random area. But unlike Gina, who was in a marsh, Stella was in a large rocky wilderness that looked like it hadn’t seen water in centuries! Stella looked around in confusion, and she squinted as the harsh sun above beat down on her mercilessly! A large Moonlight Wolf walked forward to stand beside Stella protectively, and Stella raised her hand to pet the beast thankfully!

[Stella, are you alright?]

Jason’s voice came through the communication device that the group had gotten earlier, and Stella put her hand to her ear and told Jason that she was fine.

"I think I’m in the Eastern Wilderness, Master. I’m here with about fifty Legion subordinates. I don’t know where the others are."

Doon!

Stella’s eyes narrowed, and she gazed to the side as she felt the pressure in the area triple in intensity! The sky above Stella had started to darken, and Stella realised that there was an entire horde of Sky Serpents coming her way! Stella reached into her spatial space and pulled out a long polearm that had blades attached to both ends! She spun the blade around before holding it in a ready stance as the Legion subordinates around her prepared for a fight! Stella then spoke into the communicator as her eyes narrowed.

"Please don’t worry about me, master. I’ll fight my way back to you as soon as I can."

[Just be careful.]

"Yes, master."

Jason cut off the communication once he was sure that Stella was okay, and Stella’s mana surged to life as massive wings sprouted from her back!

BOOM!

Stella shot off the ground like a bullet and charged for the Sky Serpents with the Legion following behind her!

....

This same scene could be seen occurring in different areas of the [Sky Serpent Nest]. The various superhumans who had come here with Jason had all been thrown to different regions along with their Legion subordinates! Some superhumans had far less than a hundred subordinates with them, and there were others that had more than a hundred, but they were all fighting for their lives as the sky serpents immediately attacked them the moment they appeared!

Standing in the middle of the large forest he had been teleported to, Jason let out a cold breath as he allowed his mana to spread out around him. All around Jason were the corpses of hundreds of Sky Serpents that had been frozen by Arcticus’ innate ability! The ground and trees for miles in every direction were also covered in ice, and Jason looked up with a frown as he tried to find the boss of this Gate.

As the only Knight Class subordinate in Jason’s Legion, Arcticus was literally a TITAN Rank III beast, and since the snakes that attacked were only TITAN Rank I, they didn’t stand a chance against him at all. Jason hadn’t intended to use Arcticus in this battle since Jason knew that Arcticus’ ability was an AOE that would also affect his allies in a fight. But since the superhumans had been teleported away to far regions, Jason didn’t have to worry about them getting caught up in Arcticus’ attack. Jason left the resurrections to his subordinates, and Jason floated off the ground as he continued searching for the area with the highest mana concentration.

ROARRR!

The sound of more monsters appearing from the horizon echoed through the region, and Jason clicked his tongue as he saw them. Jason put his hands in his coat pocket, and he opened a communication link with Francis.

"Hey, are you still alive over there?"

BOOM!

A massive explosion echoed through the link, and Jason hummed as Francis answered quickly!

[I’m alright, captain!]

On the other side of the call, Francis was running for his life! There were more than a hundred TITAN rank monsters chasing him down, and as a mere SSS Rank, Francis knew he didn’t stand a chance against them! But thankfully, Jason’s Legion was putting in enough work to help Francis stay away from the beasts, and Francis only had to use his metallic rings to carry out sneak attacks before quickly dashing away again so he didn’t get attacked! Francis had landed on a large mountain that loomed high over the island, and the air up here was so thin that Francis was struggling to even catch his breath before each attack!

Jason could hear Francis struggling through the communication device, and Jason sent some instructions to the subordinates close to Francis and told them to look out for him and make sure he didn’t die. The subordinates accepted the order, and Jason finally looked up at the monsters that were approaching him.
