Chapter 366: Chapter 274: Come Back With Me (Part 2)

"Let’s see just who has the power to damage my Mountain and River Battle Sword!"

Zhang Yunlu turned back to look at Wang Yi. Wang Yi was using the Great Ore Vein Mountain God as his Battle Armor, golden light shooting from his eyes. He met Zhang Yunlu’s gaze, chuckled, and said, "I can’t be bothered to waste my time with the likes of you!"

With that, starlight appeared beneath the feet of the Great Ore Vein Mountain God, flowing like a river and carrying him swiftly into the distance.

Wang Yi then activated Starlight Rush again, chasing in the direction Li Longyu had been taken.

As for Wang Bushi and Wang Sanmei, while Wang Yi had charged the Mountain and River Battleship, they had quickly recalled the Celestial Eagle Warriors with the Wind and Cloud Banner. They then returned to the Galaxy Airship, submerged into the World Line, and followed Wang Yi’s orders to seek reinforcements.

Their departure didn’t attract much attention. At that moment, Zhang Yunlu and the other Cultivators were all focused on Wang Yi.

Zhang Yunlu commanded, "All of you, stay here. Clear the battlefield and continue the assault on the World Line. I will pursue that scoundrel!"

"Yes!"

"We obey the Ancestor’s command!"

Outside the World Line, the surviving Nascent Soul and Golden Core Cultivators were all incredibly respectful toward Zhang Yunlu.

In truth, the Xuyi Royal Court contained many Cultivation Sects. Golden Core Cultivators were the main forces of these sects, while Nascent Soul Cultivators were their Hermit Elders. Zhang Yunlu, on the other hand, was what one would call a Cultivation Ancestor.

He left the host of Golden Core and Nascent Soul Cultivators to clear the battlefield while he used a teleportation technique to pursue Wang Yi.

Wang Yi’s mind raced. He dismissed the Great Ore Vein Mountain God and, with starlight at his feet, moved at incredible speed. He could already see the streak of light that had carried Li Longyu away.

The streak of light was being pulled by the Golden Lion Illusion, heading deeper into the Starry Sky.

’You want to take Li Longyu? It won’t be that easy!’

Wang Yi’s Divine Body unleashed Starlight Rush, accelerating him to nearly the speed of light. Within a couple of breaths, he caught up to the streak of light and, without a second thought, swung his axe.

"Hm? You actually caught up!"

The Golden Lion Illusion was stunned. It dodged the great axe’s slash, came to a halt, and roared, "Boy, do you have any idea who you’re up against?"

Wang Yi ignored it and swung his axe again, severing the streak of light. He reached out, pulling Li Longyu into his arms.

"Husband, you..."

Li Longyu was in a daze. When she clearly saw it was Wang Yi before her, a conflicted look appeared on her face.

"Let’s go!"

Wang Yi grunted, and with a flash of starlight at his feet, he carried her away.

"Trying to snatch someone from right under my nose? Impossible!"

The Golden Lion Illusion roared in fury. It opened its massive maw, generating a powerful suction that actually caused the Starlight River to reverse its flow.

Wang Yi frowned. He was using Starlight Rush, but he couldn’t get away.

’What’s the deal with this Golden Lion Illusion? How is it this powerful?’

Wang Yi glanced back at the Golden Lion Illusion. Seeing its mouth open as if to swallow the Starry Sky itself, he acted decisively. Four points of light shot out from between his eyebrows.

The four points of light shot toward the Golden Lion Illusion, transforming into four icebergs just as they reached it. The icebergs had barely materialized when they exploded with a deafening BOOM. The powerful blast interrupted the Golden Lion’s technique, causing it to stagger backward.

Wang Yi seized the chance to flee with Li Longyu. Paying no mind to direction, he flew for about a minute before arriving at the World Line of a Newbie World.

Li Longyu opened her mouth to speak, but Wang Yi cut her off. "Whatever it is, we can talk about it when we get back!"

As he spoke, Wang Yi took out a Town Recall Scroll. He unfurled it, and a teleportation countdown began for him and Li Longyu.

Ten seconds later, the world blurred around them, and Wang Yi and Li Longyu found themselves in the second major mining city on Yamero Star.

"Yu’Er, don’t do anything foolish again. Just stay put here. It’s far enough away that it won’t be easy for them to capture you!"

Wang Yi said it in a tone that brooked no argument. Then, he hurriedly departed, starlight carrying him away.

He had chosen to recall to Yamero Star for a reason. First, it was far enough away that bringing Li Longyu here was perhaps even safer than returning to Typhon World.

Second, Wang Yi had also come here to replenish his Chaos Energy.

Wang Yi’s Chaos Energy had been almost completely depleted in the previous battle, so he quickly sought out Chaos Crystal Stones to replenish it.

The two mining cities had a three-month backlog of inventory. Moving as fast as he could, Wang Yi absorbed every last Chaos Crystal Stone, gaining over 900 million points of Chaos Energy in one fell swoop.

’Now I can go another three hundred rounds with them!’

Wang Yi scoffed, then used a Town Recall Scroll to return to Huaguo Mountain. A moment later, he came back, bringing Yuan Yao and Liu Qin with him.

"You two watch over Li Longyu here for now. Don’t let this silly woman do anything stupid again!"

With that said, Wang Yi departed once more.

The battle on the World Line wasn’t over. He had to go back to protect it, defend his world, and safeguard his own territory.

But before returning to the fight, Wang Yi quickly gathered his forces and brought the Great Wind and Cloud Banner with him.

The Great Wind and Cloud Banner could conceal soldiers within, and Watermelon, Black Beans, Hai Pei, Xiang Yun, Qin Mo, Hai Zhongxian, Fish-Transformed Dragon, Man Datou, and others were all inside.

"Typhon World cannot be allowed to fall! Follow me to the World Line and face the enemies from the Starry Sky!"

Wang Yi shouted, shouldering the Great Wind and Cloud Banner. He was about to leave when Liang Xiaoyu, led by Jelena, rushed over. She yelled to Wang Yi, "Brother-in-law, in her past life, my cousin was the sister of the Divine Lord of the Mingyu Divine Country! She was known as the Ming King, and she reincarnated solely to recultivate the Infinite Bright Jade Skill!"

The "cousin" Liang Xiaoyu spoke of was Li Longyu. She had a special status as a descendant of Empress Dowager Liang’s family, making her and Li Longyu peers.

Wang Yi’s expression didn’t change upon hearing this. "I know," he said.

Liang Xiaoyu continued, "That makes her a double-edged sword! If we keep her in our territory, the Mingyu Divine Country will target us. Don’t you understand? A territory only becomes a Royal Court after ascending, and a Divine Country is above even a Royal Court! The power of a Divine Country is beyond anything you or I can imagine. Keeping Li Longyu here might bring us benefits, but it could also bring disaster! The weak can’t negotiate. I suggest we don’t take the risk. We should send her outside the World Line."

Wang Yi retorted, "Sending her outside the World Line won’t buy us peace. My dear, foolish Yu’Er left on her own accord, and what did that get us but an invasion from the Starry Sky? They want to destroy Typhon World and annihilate my Huaguo Mountain!"

With a flick of his sleeve, Wang Yi lingered no longer. He stepped onto the starlight once more and rushed toward the battlefield.

In fact, at this very moment, Wang Bushi and Wang Sanmei still hadn’t returned.

Soon, Wang Yi reappeared on the World Line and began his slaughter anew.

"Retreat now, and you might live! Continue this invasion, and you will surely die!"

Wang Yi shouted, but his attacks were merciless. With a great wave of his sleeve, the Great Wind and Cloud Banner planted itself on the World Line. As the flag unfurled, the soldiers hidden within it immediately appeared.

By this point, the World Line had already lost nearly a million points of Durability.

The battle erupted once more. Flying Swords were struck from the sky, and Golden Core Cultivators died as quickly as cannon fodder. Faced with a Wang Yi brimming with Chaos Energy, even the Nascent Soul Cultivators could only retreat.

At this same moment, in the distant Xuyi Royal Court, Zhang Xuyi pulled back her hood, revealing a clear and beautiful face. She was frowning, however, as she gazed into a tranquil pool.

The pool was as still as a mirror, without a single ripple. Suddenly, a small golden figure flew out of it, followed by a second, a third, a fourth...

Those small golden figures were Nascent Souls!

A Nascent Soul Cultivator possesses a Nascent Soul. If their physical body is destroyed, the Nascent Soul can still escape. As long as the Nascent Soul remains intact, they can be reborn!

The pool before Zhang Xuyi was a special structure designed specifically for the return of these Nascent Souls.

’Fourth Uncle is there. How can so many Nascent Soul Cultivators be dying? What in the world is happening over there?’

Zhang Xuyi was completely baffled. ’Our Nascent Soul Cultivators are dying far too frequently,’ she thought. ’If it’s this bad for them, the Golden Core Cultivators must be dying even faster and in greater numbers.’

’Is that Immortal Zhenyuan really that powerful? Is Fourth Uncle’s presence not making a difference?’

Zhang Xuyi’s frown deepened, and a sense of foreboding welled up inside her.

Meanwhile, the Divinity Transformation Cultivator Zhang Yunlu, the man she considered their Stabilizing Needle, was currently lost in the vast Star Sea.

’Hm? What kind of ability is that kid using? How is his Escape Technique so fast? I’m teleporting across the Starry Sky and I still can’t catch him?’

Zhang Yunlu muttered to himself. He had not only lost Wang Yi, but had also forgotten the way back. Now, he could only wander aimlessly through the vast Starry Sky.
