Chapter 251: Chapter 215: Entering the Corridor of Chaos (Part 2)

Without even looking, Martial Saint Feng Yuxiu casually raised his palm to meet the attack. A dull THUD, like the beat of a heavy drum, rang out. Martial Saint Feng Yuxiu didn’t move an inch, but the old Eunuch was sent flying over thirty feet, crashing into a wall and sliding to the floor.

A look of horror spread across his face as blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. "A Grandmaster!" he exclaimed.

"Not a Grandmaster, a Martial Saint!"

Li Longyu said with a hint of playfulness. She looked toward the curtained screen and waved. "Empress Dowager, some matters are more urgent than others. After Yu’Er and my husband return from the campaign and put an end to this war, we will come and pay you our proper respects! Yu’Er takes her leave!"

Wang Yi also clasped his hands in a salute to Empress Dowager Liang and the surrounding crowd. "Everyone, we’ll take our leave for now. We shall meet again!"

With that said, he immediately spurred his horse and left Jinluan Hall.

The assembled civil and military officials followed them out. Even Empress Dowager Liang, supported by a Eunuch, walked out of the Jinluan Great Hall. They all watched as the Galaxy Airship rapidly ascended and vanished into the distance in an instant.

"Honestly, a grown daughter just won’t stay put. Back to the palace!"

Empress Dowager Liang huffed and turned to leave.

The civil and military officials were each lost in their own thoughts.

In the crowd, Yan Bingzhang’s expression was grim. He squinted in the direction the Galaxy Airship had disappeared. ’These Aliens are so carefree, doing as they please, completely unrestrained. It’s truly enviable... Why am I not an Alien?’

The Galaxy Airship zipped through the sky.

It crossed the Western Domain, heading even further west.

Inside, Li Longyu stood by a window, gazing out. "My Lord," she asked, "how do you plan to end this war?"

"Simple. We’ll drop ’Little Boy’!"

Wang Yi was also surveying the ground below.

Unlike Ancient Barbarian Country, the territories of Celestial Net Country and Golden Sparrow Country had no invisible walls, allowing for free exploration.

And his destination was the capital of Celestial Net Country.

Xiang Yun was piloting the Galaxy Airship, while Zhao Wenliang had been brought along to give directions.

"Whoa, this divine vessel is incredibly fast! Is that the Celestial Net Country’s vanguard camp down there? For this war, they claimed to have mobilized an army of 500,000, but looking at the scale of that camp, it doesn’t seem likely!"

Zhao Wenliang pointed into the distance. "That should be the location of the Celestial Net Imperial Capital..."

The Galaxy Airship accelerated, and moments later, it arrived over the capital of Celestial Net Country: Celestial Essence City.

It was an ancient, isolated city built atop mountains, surrounded by sheer cliffs and deep abysses. Besides the Celestial Net Royal Family, only the Forbidden Army was garrisoned within its walls.

Surrounding it were six Garrison Cities, which housed a large number of troops.

"This Celestial Essence City has stood for thousands of years and has never fallen. Legend has it that since its construction, no army has ever been able to attack this place. But we’ve come from the sky, rendering all the ground defenses useless..."

Zhao Wenliang was explaining the situation to Wang Yi.

Wang Yi looked down and saw ancient towers and halls. The layers upon layers of architecture were a microcosm of this world’s culture and history, a sedimentation of time.

"What a pity!"

Wang Yi shook his head, then patted his eldest son Wang Bushi on the shoulder. "Good boy, it’s your time to perform. Find an empty spot and blow the place to kingdom come!"

"Yes, Father! I will take this ancient city down with me!"

Wang Bushi grinned, opened the Galaxy Airship’s hatch, and, under the bewildered gazes of Li Longyu and Zhao Wenliang, jumped straight out.

As he fell, his body began to spin, glow, and burst into flames, streaking down like a Celestial Fire Meteor into the ancient city below.

BOOM!

It sounded like the earth splitting and the mountains collapsing. A 500-meter-long Flaming Giant Spear bloomed from the ground, its crimson fire illuminating half the city. The immense destructive power instantly obliterated the ancient sacrificial altar of the Celestial Essence Royal Family.

The sudden bombardment caught the residents of Celestial Essence City completely off guard.

However, this was only the beginning.

Wang Bushi resurrected, reappearing beside Wang Yi. He adjusted the Spear of Destruction that had revived with him, flashed a grin at Li Longyu, and jumped from the airship once more.

A moment later, another BOOM!

The crimson Flaming Spear bloomed again. A massive royal tower in Celestial Essence City was destroyed, and after the flames subsided, only a scorched, giant crater remained in its place.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

The bombardment continued, unstoppable, destroying one building after another and leaving behind a trail of blackened craters.

The entire population of Celestial Essence City was thrown into chaos. Shouts echoed everywhere as people stared in terror at the erupting pillars of flame, scattering in a panicked frenzy.

The Imperial Palace was in an uproar. The ground trembled violently, maidservants screamed, and guards ran about in disarray. The Celestial Net Emperor fled his bedchamber in a panic, his robes in disarray.

This Emperor, named Liu Yang, had dark circles under his eyes. His body had been hollowed out by years of wine and women. Though only in his thirties, his frail physique made him look more like a man of fifty.

Suddenly, not far from him, the royal armory known as the Hidden Dragon Pavilion was struck. As it collapsed, a colossal pillar of fire erupted, shooting five hundred meters into the sky.

The ground shook violently. The Celestial Net Emperor was so frightened he collapsed, then frantically scrambled backward.

"Guards! Protect Us! Can anyone tell Us what is happening!"

Liu Yang shouted.

But the palace was in chaos. The maids were screaming and scattering, and for a moment, no one paid him any attention.

Just then, a massive object shrouded in a strange light slowly descended before him.

It was the Galaxy Airship.

"What is that thing? Guards! Protect Us! Quickly, protect Us!"

The Celestial Net Emperor yelled, his heart filled with terror.

A strange man carrying a long, peculiar box on his back suddenly appeared beside him. The man grabbed his shoulder, leaped into the air, and carried him up to the Galaxy Airship’s hatch like a hawk snatching a chick.

THUMP!

The Emperor was tossed onto the airship’s deck with a muffled groan. He hastily scrambled to his feet, trembling from head to toe, only to find a circle of people standing around him.

"Who are you people? I am the Celestial Net Emperor! How dare you harm me? Where is the Commander of the Forbidden Guard? Where is the Imperial Army? Come and protect Us at once!"

Liu Yang shouted, trying to sound intimidating despite his fear.

But no one around him showed the slightest hint of fear.

Wang Yi rubbed his chin and said to Zhao Wenliang, "This is the Emperor of Celestial Net Country?"

Zhao Wenliang’s face was deathly pale. He had witnessed everything—the bombardment that resembled divine punishment, the flames that shot five hundred meters into the sky—and his heart was still pounding with terror.

He stammered, "He... should be! I... I’ve never actually seen him before!"

Upon hearing this, Wang Yi kicked Liu Yang. "I heard you’ve been admiring my wife for a long time. Is that true?"

Liu Yang was so scared he wet his pants, shaking his head to indicate he didn’t understand.

Wang Yi couldn’t be bothered to waste any more words on him. "I’ll let you live. In return, you will immediately cease all acts of war against the Golden Sparrow Country, withdraw your frontline army, and send a peace delegation to Quejing City to announce your surrender and negotiate reparations. Can you do that?"

"Y-Yes! Yes!"

Liu Yang was beginning to understand the situation. Knowing his life depended on a single thought from these people, how could he dare to refuse?

"Good!" Wang Yi pointed at Zhao Wenliang beside him. "Remember his name. He is Zhao Wenliang, an Inspector Imperial Censor from the Golden Sparrow Country’s Imperial Censorate. You can find him for the peace talks! Send him down!"

With a flick of his sleeve, the Martial Saint Feng Yuxiu grabbed Liu Yang by the neck, used his Lightweight Skill to quickly deliver him to the ground, and flew back up, all in less than a minute.

"I... I..."

Zhao Wenliang was still in a daze.

Wang Yi waved his hand. "Our business here is finished. Back to Quejing!"

"Yes, sir!"

Xiang Yun responded and immediately began piloting the Galaxy Airship back.

Wang Bushi resurrected and was about to jump out for another bombing run, but Li Longyu quickly grabbed him. "Undying, that’s enough, that’s enough!"

At that moment, this "number one beauty under the heavens," Princess Longyu of the Golden Sparrow Country, finally and completely understood what Wang Yi had told her.

’So when you’re powerful enough, you really can do whatever you want. To stop a war, all you have to do is intimidate the enemy’s capital. So this is the power of "Little Boy"...’

A smile spread across Li Longyu’s face, and she added, "My husband and our eldest son are truly powerful!"

The Galaxy Airship quickly ascended. Just as it was about to leave Celestial Essence City, Wang Yi glanced back down. The Imperial City below was wreathed in smoke, pockmarked by more than a dozen dark craters, with numerous buildings collapsed.

However, in some of the bombed locations, no craters had appeared. Instead, the ground had been torn open, revealing strange, ancient stone slabs beneath. Some of these slabs were even glowing with a faint blue light.

’Huh, what the hell are those stone slabs? Even the Spear of Destruction couldn’t break through them. Could there be some kind of mechanism hidden beneath this Imperial City?’

Just as Wang Yi was pondering this, he suddenly received a system notification: "Ding! Celestial Net Array discovered. The Celestial Net Array large-scale public quest is now open. Players carrying certain items may participate in the public quest. Upon completion of the public quest, the Celestial Net Array can be activated."

"Ding! Special story character Li Longyu has unlocked an automatic quest. Help her obtain the Celestial Compass to receive one Red Light Treasure Chest!"
