Chapter 410: Chapter 409: The Three Calamity
The enormous corpse collapsed to either side with a thunderous crash that shook the shattered wasteland.
BOOM!
BOOM!
The moment its body struck the ground, the remaining Decay Law dispersed like mist beneath the morning sun.
The countless black veins that had spread across the land rapidly withered away.
The blood fountain behind it trembled violently.
Without the abomination to sustain, the ancient sacrificial formation lost its core.
One by one, the crimson runes engraved across the earth dimmed.
The horrifying fountain that had consumed countless lives ceased flowing.
Its blood slowly turned dark before hardening into lifeless stone.
Cracks spread throughout its surface.
Then, with a deafening roar, the entire fountain collapsed into countless crimson fragments.

The evil aura that had lingered over the mountains for who knew how many years vanished completely.
Alix quietly watched everything.
Only after confirming that every trace of the sacrificial formation had disappeared did he lower his sword.
With a casual wave of his hand, the Tier 7 blade disappeared into his System Inventory.
His gaze shifted toward the distant horizon.
Even from thousands of kilometers away, he could still sense the battlefield.
The city had not yet completely fallen.
The fighting continued.
Without another word, space rippled before him.
His figure disappeared.
----
The next instant, he appeared above the battlefield.
The war had already reached its final stage.
The once-proud capital had become a sea of flames.
Sections of the towering city wall had collapsed under relentless bombardment. Countless siege beasts roared as they smashed through the remaining defenses. Thick smoke curled into the sky, carrying with it the scent of blood, burning timber, and shattered stone.
The city gates had long since fallen.
Thousands upon thousands of monster soldiers poured through the breach like an endless tide.
Unlike human armies, there was no disorder among them.
Every unit advanced with frightening discipline.
Troll warriors smashed through defensive lines with overwhelming strength, their massive weapons reducing barricades to splinters.
Serpentine archers stood atop ruined buildings, firing volleys of poisoned arrows with terrifying precision.
Arachne warriors raced across rooftops and walls, their silk binding fleeing cultivators before venomous blades ended their lives.
Towering beastmen wielding giant shields advanced shoulder to shoulder, protecting the more fragile races behind them.
The invasion resembled a perfectly coordinated machine.
Every race knew its role.
Every commander executed Alix’s orders without hesitation.
The defenders were collapsing, and street after street fell into the monsters’ hands.
The city’s central district had already been surrounded.
Only one battlefield remained truly undecided.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A violent explosion erupted above the city.
Three figures were sent flying in different directions.
Charles steadied himself in midair, sliding backward hundreds of meters before finally stopping.
His breathing had become noticeably heavier. His armor was covered with cracks. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
Yet his eyes remained incomparably sharp. In his hand rested the ancient Tier 7 sword.
The blade emitted an overwhelming sword aura that distorted the surrounding space.
Even though Charles was merely a peak Tier 6, the moment he wielded that weapon. His attacks naturally carried traces of Law.
It wasn’t because he had comprehended a law.
Rather, the sword itself possessed that authority.
Every swing became vastly stronger than anything a normal peak Tier 6 could unleash.
His current combat strength had already surpassed ordinary Quasi Tier 7 experts.
Charles slowly wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
His eyes remained locked on the three figures surrounding him.
Verila.
Grathum.

Zurrak.
The three monster generals floated in the sky, occupying different directions.
Without anyone saying a word, they had already formed a perfect encirclement.
Charles tightened his grip around the Tier 7 sword.
The weapon let out a low hum.
Golden runes slowly illuminated across the blade.
The surrounding sword intent instantly became several times sharper.
Even the air seemed ready to split apart.
"You three..."
Charles spoke calmly.
"So this is your plan."
"To overwhelm me with numbers."
Grathum laughed loudly.
The gigantic Magma Troll rested his colossal hammer upon one shoulder.
Molten lava continuously dripped from the weapon, falling through the sky like miniature meteors.
"Hahaha!"
"What else should we do?"
"You’ve got yourself a fancy sword."
"We’ve got ourselves three fists."
His laughter echoed across the battlefield.
Charles remained expressionless.
SHING!
The Tier 7 sword suddenly released a brilliant golden radiance.
Sword intent erupted into the heavens.
The surrounding clouds were instantly divided into two. Even space itself showed signs of splitting.
The pressure released by the blade caused countless weaker cultivators below to cough up blood.
The monster soldiers instinctively retreated another several hundred meters.
Even some Tier 5 monsters felt their legs grow weak.
Charles slowly raised the sword.
The surrounding Qi immediately gathered around its edge.
Although the power belonged to the weapon. Charles controlled it flawlessly.
"Come."
"I’ll send all three of you to hell."
Before the final word had even faded...
Zurrak disappeared.
Charles’ instincts exploded with warning.
Without hesitation, he swung the sword behind him.
CLAAAAANG!
A shower of sparks erupted.
Space shattered.
Zurrak’s obsidian claws collided directly against the blade.
The Void Warg twisted his body and vanished once more.
Charles’ sword cut through empty air.
Again, his gone. Not even a trace remained.
Suddenly...
Rip.

Space beside Charles tore open, and a black claw emerged.
CLANG!
Charles blocked without even looking.
Rip!
Another spatial tear opened beneath him.
Rip!
Then another above him.
Rip!
Another behind him.
Within a single breath, more than twenty spatial rifts surrounded Charles from every direction.
Each one concealed Zurrak.
Each one could become reality at any moment.
Charles narrowed his eyes.
"What an annoying ability."
BOOOOOOM!
Golden sword light exploded outward.
The terrifying sword aura swept through every surrounding rift simultaneously.
One after another...
The spatial tears collapsed.
Yet, every one of them had been empty.
A low growl echoed beside his ear.
Too late.
Zurrak emerged from a tiny crack no larger than a fist.
His body appeared almost impossibly close.
His claws slashed toward Charles’ neck.
CLANG!
Charles barely tilted his sword in time. The impact blasted both of them backward. But Zurrak had never intended to kill him.
He only wanted to create an opening.
Far below, Grathum smiled.
His giant hammer slammed into the air.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The ground beneath the entire battlefield exploded.
Dozens...
Hundreds...
Thousands of volcanic eruptions burst upward simultaneously.
The streets of the capital transformed into an ocean of magma.
Gigantic pillars of molten rock shot toward the heavens.
Charles was forced to dodge. Another pillar erupted.
Grathum wasn’t aiming at Charles. He was reshaping the battlefield itself.
The sky became a cage of volcanic fire.
Every direction Charles moved, another eruption awaited him.
The Magma Troll roared.
"[Tier 6 Skill: Worldfire Cataclysm!]"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A gigantic volcanic fissure stretched across the entire battlefield.
The ground split open.

A river of magma thousands of degrees hot surged into the sky before collapsing back down like a burning tsunami.
Charles swung.
A single arc of golden sword light split the tidal wave apart.
The magma separated. Yet before the attack could finish. A sharp cry echoed through the heavens.
Verila had moved, the Sky Serpent folded her enormous wings.
The surrounding atmosphere suddenly disappeared.
An unnatural silence spread.
Then, her wings unfolded.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The sky exploded.
A hurricane powerful enough to uproot mountains descended from above.
Countless invisible wind blades filled the storm.
